    Cheesy Corn
    Alvin Y.

I've been to flaming Kitchen in Markham before but this is my first time at the Scarborough location and I wasn't disappointed! Restaurant was clean and staff were very friendly! All the food we ordered were served on a hot plate so be careful not to touch it! We ordered the: Cheesy corn (Regular) - $5.99 - simple but still very good, would liked to have a little more cheese mixed in with the corn. (7/10) Sizzling Kimchi fries - $7.99 - fries with Japanese mayo, kimchi and cheese! Straight forward dish but with generous amount of Kimchi. (8/10) Super Deluxe Teppanyaki Rice - $20.99 - well seasoned rice served with duck, beef rolls, chicken, shrimp, salmon, shrimp with scallops. This dish was very tasty and well worth the price if you're feeling extra hungry! (9/10) Truffle Cream Jumbo Scallop spaghetti - $18.99 - truffle cream sauce served with spaghetti and jumbo scallops. This was really tasty but the truffle taste in the sauce was pretty mild, would have loved for a stronger truffle aroma! (7/10) Overall I recommend, they're open pretty late throughout the week, it especially hits the spot for a late night dinners!

Probably one of my favourite late night spots to come out and eat some Korean food! The ttbeoki and cheesy corn will always be my go to dishes. This place is super affordable and always have the best/ fast service. Highly recommend for all you foodies out there!

I have been to Flaming Kitchen about 3 times and it delivers a consistent sizzling plate experience. Before I talk about the food I do want to mention they only take cash/debit with my awkward experience of only carrying credit and paying an extra $1 to process the transaction. They offer competitive daily deals and lunch combos as well. I highly recommend the sizzling corn and takoyaki. The rice and udon dishes taste exactly how I expected with the curry being a bit muted on taste. The spicy cheesy chicken noodle is a welcome surprise and I would definitely order it again.

The overall quality of this Taiwanese restaurant is quite good. I especially like their seafood rice; each bite is packed with meat and very refreshing. 呢間台式餐廳整體質素不錯。我特別鍾意佢嘅海鮮飯,食起上嚟啖啖肉,非常爽。

Utter trash. 99% rice. It's like I spent $20 on a bag of rice. Is the Canadian economy this bad????

    Flaming Japanese style fried chicken

Service and ambiance are alright. The food hits every time. I come here just for the flaming japanese style fried chicken! My favourite app for sure. You can never go wrong with the spicy mentaiko beef udon, I usually get mine with some green onions. The truffle cream mushroom udon is very mild in flavour, almost no flavour sometimes. The mango slush is very artificial in flavour but refreshing. The durian slush is where it's at, if you like the fruit, not artificial tasting.

A very good restaurant that specializes in serving food on hot plates. The food is very good and there is a wide variety from rice to noodles and curry. The food also stays hot because of the sizzling hot plate, so you can take your time while eating and socializing. Highly recommend the beef and mentai ko udon and the popcorn chicken!! Appetizers and drinks are also very good. The servers are very nice, quick, polite and attentive. Make sure to reserve or go early because it's always packed. The restaurant is located in a plaza that has a bunch of bubble tea shops that you can visit after your meal as well.

A staple sit down/take-out spot in the Midland and Finch area. It is more of a casual experience and they only take cash/debit. The hot plate dishes are always delicious, however, I've noticed that the plates don't nearly get as hot enough to cook the meat nowadays. I had to request for them to cook it again. Other dishes, such as the cheesy corn, I have the opposite problem. The cheese was burnt very evidently. For the price and variety that the menu has here, it's hard not to keep coming back. If you are ever looking for a filling quick bite, this is the place to go!

Very interesting Asian fusion food restaurant. Although this kind of restaurant tends to be cheesy, Flaming Kitchen turns out to handle the creative dishes pretty well! That thing like "croquette", or fried meatball, was so delicious that I'd like to have more. I only have one thing to remind you, it's just a place for friends and family. It's definitely not a restaurant to take your partner to have a romantic meal.

The steak is not that great! It was thin. The rice cakes were really good! I think ill stick with the usual beef order

My cousins that are residents here in the area suggested to go to this place. I gotta say, this restaurant amazed me with the kind of food they serve We ordered: - Flaming Japanese Fried Chicken - Takoyaki - Supreme Beef Rice - Rice Cake drizzled in peanut butter and chocolate (I don't remember the name and I cannot find the name on the given menu's online. so sorry) All dishes were delicious! The Rice Cakes got my most attention compared to the others. I usually don't eat these rices cakes but I will eat this one! I highly recommend trying this place out. So many options!

    Takoyaki. 6.8/10.
    Calvin L.

Takoyaki. Pretty good, it's fried well, good amount of bonito flakes, umami flavour is there. I would prefer more sauce and a larger amount of octopus but overall it is good. 6.8/10. Spicy Mentaiko Udon: Sauce is creamy and the right amount of salty. I don't know what a Mentaiko is but I like it. 7.1/10. Honey Garlic Rice: Mid on mid rice was mushy. Also not enough sauce. Bland :( 5.3/10 Overall flaming kitchen is nice place for fast and quick yummy meal.

Probably my new favorite item from here. - Pear Salad: this was okay but nothing special - Flora (Green tea, hibiscus, lychee, rose sugar): would not order this again...very bland and didn't even taste like green tea lol. Our server only came twice, which was when we first arrived and sat down and when we paid for the bill. She actually never came during the whole time we were there and never checked on us. Given the price range of this place, I'm surprised at the lack of and poor service. We waited quite some time before having to wave just a random waitress to come and take our order and we had to keep waving for random servers to help us fill our water and get the menu to order a dessert. We were also there to celebrate a birthday and informed the restaurant about it when we made the reservation. We were told that for birthdays, there's a complimentary dessert or if we order one, they could write "happy birthday" on the plate. After being seated, we reminded our server about this (the one who never showed up until bill time), and not only did we not receive any complimentary anything, but there was no "happy birthday" written on our dessert that we ordered and paid for. I think that is quite unacceptable given what we were told and we also reminded them upon being seated. What kind of service is this? This is pure ignorance of customers' requests and lack of follow through of their own restaurant policy about complimentary dish for birthday celebrations. In terms of food, we ordered the following: Wagyu Beef Siu Mai, Handmade Lobster Wontons, Crispy Broccoli, Crab Truffle Chawanmushi, and Black Sesame & Tofu Baked Alaska. We wanted to get the Shrimp & Scallop Toast but was told that it was not available so that was a bit disappointing too. Overall, all the food tasted pretty good and were aesthetically presentable. However, given the price point, I wouldn't say they tasted exceptionally outstanding. None of them were so special to a point that I'd feel like I must come back for that particular dish again. Overall a mediocre experience with pretty food that tasted decently palatable but with very poor (or lack of) service.

I opted for a Caesar salad as an appetizer and hubby ordered their Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak. Let's start with the apps. The Caesar salad was SO good! I wish I had taken a pic, but admittedly, my phone was tucked away and I was caught up in the cozy seating, great food and Christmas vibes of the restaurant and lobby. Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak: $33 - Buttercup Squash Puree and Truffle Oil - Everything you want Wagyu to be - tender, cooked to the perfect temp which left a nice warm red centre. This was melt in your mouth good! The burgers - these were perfection! Draco Bacon Cheddar Burger: $25 - Aged Cheddar with Crispy Bacon Strips; Crispy Onion Straws, Arugula and Garlic Aioli. This was a very well seasoned patty, so juicy and a substantial sized patty of fresh not frozen beef. The bun was lightly toasted, bacon crispy, easily taking this into my top 3 fav spots for burgers! Options for sides include fries, sweet potato fries, poutine, side Caesar or garden salad or truffle fries. We finished off our meal with 2 really good cappuccinos and just took our time before heading home. This was our first time back here in a few years.
