Great value for the price! My favourite were the noodles in their flavourful beef bone broth. Second fave are their king dumplings - lots of meat and flavour. The third would be the beef or pork bulgogi - that one in itself didn't blow us away but the combo meal was definitely great value. Today we had the Pork Bulgogi Jungsik. The beef broth was a little bland. The pork was tender but a bit fatty. The seasoning and flavour were good. There was a lot of onions which I guess is used to increase the serving. Bulgogi and Kalgusu combo. The beef was chewy for the most part. This however still had a nice flavour. This was also how it was the first time I came so it seems to be an issue for this restaurant. The soup with this combo was good. The beef serving size is smaller than the pork. Service was minimal.

It comes with a variety of side dishes which is average except for the kimchi which was served in a separate bowl. Well made very fresh only thing is should had left to ferment for a couple more days to bring it's savoriness. I greatly recommend the kimchi If looks could be deceiving then I have been a victim over and over again. I thought the noodles in the soup would just be a regular soggy soft noodles but instead it was firm and al dente and the soup itself if between light and savory and it's good. The steamed gyozas are huge and every bite juices comes dripping out if you are not too careful you might find juices all over your clothes. I took some leftover gyozas home. And I question the way they handled their food because the next day I have experience some stomach issues and thought maybe the kimchi but found out my son also ate the leftover gyozas and also experience the same stomach issue I have. I saw other patrons also ordered gyozas not sure if they had any problems also. Now I'm having second thoughts going back to that place.

We signed up on the waitlist and got a text about 20 minutes later to let us know our table was ready. We ordered two kalguksu combos, one with spicy pork and the other with bulgogi. This was my first time trying kalguksu which was essentially a bowl of fresh noodles in a beef broth with some veggies (I think it was zucchini?). This was a really comforting dish on a cold day! It also came with a bunch of side dishes and kimchi which were the highlight in my opinion. The bulgogi also tasted yummy, however I found the spicy pork a bit too spicy for my taste buds. It was a good thing the combo came with a bowl of rice! I can see why there is a wait for the food here. It's fresh, delicious, and has great value!
First time trying. Nice Korean noodles & dumpling place. Conveniently located in Richmond Hill. No need to go north Korea (Yonge-Finch) or south Korea (downtown) when you crave traditional K-food! Those HUGE mandus are quite impressive, and the set dinners are also good. A quick and easy place with reasonable prices. Easily get crowded. Recommend visiting early to avoid the line.
Came here on a Thursday night and it was quite busy. There's a tablet right when you enter to add yourself to the waitlist. They'll message you when your table is ready. The interior was normal, there was photographs of the food throughout the restaurant. We waited for approximately 20 minutes. I love that the menu had images of each item. We got the kimchi pork Mandu, bibim naengmyun (cold noodle) and the kalguksu (knife cut noodles). Kimchi was served as a side and it was pretty good! I can tell it's was home made and not store bought. The cold noodle was okay, it was served with vinegar and mustard. I wish there was a bit more sauce/soup though. The mandu was alright as well, it was pretty thick and packed with a lot of filling. Overall, a decent Korean restaurant to go to.

Atmosphere: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Modern interior and good space between each table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: Not bad which is a plus for this type of restaurants. Presentation: Every dish looks beautiful, even the Kimchi shines. They just look appetizing (please refer to my photos). Taste: - The kimchi taste great, I just loving it. - Clam Kalguksu broth is smooth with mild seafood flavour and the noodle is bouncy. - The Korean Dumplings is cold not even warm. I already factor in my photo shooting time. Overall: This is my first time dinning at a Korean Dumplings restaurant serving cold (not warm) dumplings. Fantastic Korean restaurant in the Commerce Gate plaze. They are located right beside Baton Rouge. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is very modern, clean and has around 10-11 tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you want to dine here, best to arrive early! I ordered take out as I did not want to wait for a table and when I arrived to pick up my food the staff were super friendly. We ordered the Bulgolgi Jungsik and Bossam Junsik set meals. The price was reasonable given the quality and amount of food you get. The set meals come with the main dish, rice, soup, kimchi and 5 side dishes. Everything was so nicely packed, even the side dishes came in its own container! The bulgogi was cooked perfectly, not too salty and just the right amount of sauce. The bossam was a real winner. I loved the 3 sauces it came with along with the super fresh and crispy lettuce to wrap it in. Would definitely return to try out the rest of their menu! read more

The soup and the noodles were a perfect pair. The bulgogi was well flavoured, and had the smokiness from the sizzling plate which I love. The homemade kimchi that comes in a jar tastes so fresh! We came here on the biggest snow day, so luckily that meant it wasn't too busy when we arrived. I hear it's usually quite crowded and they don't take reservation. We ordered a soup noodle (they're ALL good and comforting so you honestly can't go wrong), and an order of the gyoza. They were huge and so delicious. I love the thin dumpling wrapper. I went for cold noodles. Unfortunately, the usual Korean cold noodles in soup is seasonal and they didn't have it. I wish they'd put something on the menu to indicate this. Instead, I was directed to try the BiBim Kalguksu. It's also a cold noodle, but uses their regular noodles instead of the buckwheat ones. It turned out to be like a giant salad. Tons of veggies and all mixed together with the sauce, it was delicious. I don't know that it hit the spot for me really, but I would be happy to order that again if the cold noodles weren't available. The noodles have a great texture and I like the side dishes they offer. Definitely would like to come back again. read more

Comfort in a bowl! Chewy noodles and a rich beef bone broth is the best on a cold winter day. Giant dumplings are delicious and there are two types - one with chives and the other with kimchi. Trying this place for the first time was quite the game-changer. My friend recommended this place to me as I'm a huge kimchi fan and it did not disappoint! I heard that this place gets very busy and they don't take resos so we rushed over to arrive before 6pm on a Friday evening. Luckily, this was just in time as when we arrived, there was barely a wait to get our table. But only 10 minutes later the crowd started to build, with people waiting outside and by the entrance. So a helpful tip is to get here before 6 to avoid a decent wait. I tried their meat KalGukSu which I really enjoyed. The soup was comforting and light... I liked that it didn't taste too heavy. The meat was also very tender and fresh tasting. The highlight of course was me was their fresh kimchi. It hits diff. They are also very generous with the portion and provide refills. The service is very to the point... they come to take your order but after that, it felt a bit like they were avoiding eye contact. Also, because they get so busy, you feel a little rushed when eating because you can tell they're waiting on you to finish so they can give your table to the next in line. But I can't fault them for being popular. Just be advised that you can't really chill or have lengthy catch up sessions here. So have a next place in mind if you're going here for an outing. read more

My favourite spot for kalguksu! This small but mighty restaurant has a number of different options of this Korean knife-cut noodle specialty. They have the classic, along with options with meat and clams, plus combo sets with bulgogi and bossam as well. During busy hours service can be a bit slow since there are only one or two servers who manage the entire front-of-house. Overall this is a great place to dine and their kimchi is to die for! read more

Loved the kalguksu here! My bf and I each had the meat kalguksu for $14. The broth is very clear (not greasy) and the meat is flavourful, tender and also not greasy. The noodles have the perfect chew and everything tastes good quality. It comes with kimchi on the side which was had a strong garlic flavour compared to other kimchis I've tried. Very reasonable for the large portions, and it's a nice & clean restaurant. Would love to come back and try other dishes. Overall loved it here! read more

This place feels like such a hidden gem. It's in the middle of what feels like a random plaza but the lines here get insane. They have some of the best kimchi I've ever had - only to be rivaled at one of my favorite restaurants in Seoul. Their kimchi is also just a side and should be indicative of how amazing their food is. We got a combo meal to share and chose the one with the spicy pork and hand cut noodles. 12/10 would recommend. read more
Was looking for food recommendations on Yelp and came across this restaurant. Definitely a good find. It's next to Baton Rouge Ambiance - 4/5 - small place so limited seating spots. There were a lot of people and got busier as the night went by. The seats are tight and tables are small. They gave us disposable utensils. Service - 5/5 - they were quick. Food came out quickly too. They gave us a small pot of kimchi. Authentic spices - kimchi was quite spicy. Food - 4/5 - banchan were great, not a large variety though. Banchan are the korean side dishes. Got the Jaeyuk Jungsik (banchan, spicy pork on a hot plate, beef bone broth and rice) and Bossam Jungsik (banchan, steamed tender pork belly, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, beef bone broth and rice). The food were really good and very filling. Saw some customers ordering the king sized dumplings and they look interesting. Definitely large in comparison to the ones we normally get.. Overall: 4.3/5 - a little on the expensive side, depending on what you get. However, I want to come back to try other things on the menu. read more

Overall, this is a good place for Korean style noodles. We tried the dumplings, the noodles, the clam noodles, and the seafood pancake. They also gave a generous serving of kimchi. I would say my favorite is the original noodles. The clam noodles comes with a lot of clams (and 1 shrimp) and the soup is less intense than the original, but it is a few dollars extra. The portions for the noodles are very generous. The dumpling was good though there are other places that do this better. Seafood pancake is great - was nice and crispy. I also wish there was some sauce for the seafood pancake and dumplings. There is some pickled onion/peppers that is supposed to be sauce for the dumplings / seafood pancake, but that is a little underwhelming - would have liked some vinegar or something like that. Kimchi is delectable. Service is a bit slow when it gets busy. They do have a waitlist system if there are no spots. Also, price is very good (especially the noodles) and there is a cash discount for $30+. They also take AMEX. read more
A popular korean noodle restaurant known for their great set meals and mandu dumplings. If coming at meal hours, be prepared to wait as it fills up quickly. We came at 2:30pm on a Saturday for a late lunch and there was a small line up. The tables free up in waves, so be prepared to wait for a bit (and hope others give up and leave). We shared a bulgogi set meal (comes with bulgogi, rice, a bowl of kalguksu noodles) and an order of mandu. It was the perfect way to try multiple items between two people. I liked the noodles the most as they were perfectly cooked in a boiling hot soup. Loved the different sides and the kimchi was excellent! read more
Soul warming noodle soup! When I want something soupy and hot, I think of this restaurant! They are known for one main thing only - Kalguksu! You can choose the toppings you'd like to make it the perfect bowl for your palette. I tried the clam broth based kalguksu this time and it is definitely the way to go! Sweet seafood flavoured broth that has a nice clean finish. Kimchi comes on the side and is 10/10! Something about their kimchi is just so delicious! To start the meal you must must must get their mandu (Korean steamed dumplings). It's the size of a golf ball and filled with so much meat. Paired with a tangy onion dipping sauce. Delicious! The restaurant is BUSY and fast paced. You go in, put your name and party size on the whiteboard near the door, wait to get seated, order and are expected to get out as soon as you're done eating. Did I feel rushed? YES. The moment I finished eating, they asked if they could take my plate and brought us the bill. It was not a pleasant feeling to have the waitresses hurry us out regardless if the restaurant was busy (which when we left, there was no one waiting anymore). Would I still recommend this restaurant besides this fact though? Yes. Because it's delicious, warms the soul and reasonably priced! read more

Jin Korean Noodles! The ultimate comfort food for noodle lovers like me! I had been here numerous times for dine in over the last 2 years. Kalguksu noodle and Mandu (king size dumplings) are my must order items. The beef bone broth is so well flavoured with a peppery undertone. The combo meal is great if you are hungry. Bossam and Bulgogi paired with Kalguku, so satisfying. Service is excellent! And yes Kimichi is the best side dish! read more
I saw this place on TikTok and decided to give it a try. I went my boys. It was Sunday night long weekend around 7pm. The place was buzzing and tables were all full. There is a chart you wrote your name down and they go through the list as it's listed. So it's first come first serve. We ordered 2 bowls of the Meat GalKuSu (sliced steam pork with homemade noodles). The broth was tasty and the noodles were soft and smooth. I did wish the portions were bigger. There wasn't mist in it. You also get a couple side dishes just depends on what you order. I ordered the king size dumplings didn't realize it didn't come with noddles. It was literally dumpling in soup. It tasted really good. We added a plate of the steam king size dumplings which we saw everyone else ordering. I was still hungry lol. The service is average. They were not very friendly. read more
The good: Oh what a gem this place is! The good food, prices and the satisfied feeling you leave when you're contently full. First off, the kimchi they serve as a side dish is SO delicious. They've perfected the recipe and I can say it's one of the best restaurant ones I've tried. Secondly, they are very generous with the portions! I always leave so happily full. Even the kimchi comes in a decent size bowl. Third, the staff and the prices are super reasonable for what you get, especially during these times with inflation, this meal goes far. The bad/needs improvement/tips: They need more locations! It can get busy as there seems to always be a line. Once you go in, you can write your name down to the list that's posted on the wall and you can see the chart as the queue moves along (ingenious!) read more
This is so perfect for a cold day. As always their soup noodle didn't disappoint. I really like the soup, and drank most of it but I was so thirsty the entire night. I wasn't a huge fan of the spicy pork, it wasn't really hot when it came out and wasn't very flavourful. Their kimchi is so authentic and well made! We had to wait an hour for a table around 7:30pm on a Friday night. read more
Absolutely delicious!!!!! The noodles were sooo good, I loved the flavour of the broth. It was just good for your tummy and super worth long wait time for seats. Dumplings are A MUST HAVE item. They are huge and delicious. It does take some time to make as they are prepared as you order them. The noodles are one of the best I've had. I absolutely loved their broth and the noodles compliments the soup as it absorbs all the flavours in, so every bite you're left with with the reaction of wow it's good. Bulgogi also tastes delicious which came w the combo we ordered, good amount of taste and it is on the sweeter side, so if you don't like it, I suggest asking if they can tone down the sweetness. read more
