My spot to get refreshements,snowcones, and just basically all the junkfood you can think of. One of my favorites is the elote en vaso(corn cup). It includes corn, butter, and chile, and crema. Doesn't sound too appealing huh? Trust me mix it all up and enjoy. I always go here and order that and a liquado de melon. (Canaloupe shake). I haven't met anyone who doesn't enjoy it and the strawberry liquiad. I don't know much about any of the other stuff they serve here, but this place is always packed, so I'm sure you can't go wrong with most of the menu items. What can I possibly say about Flamingo's???? I've been coming here since I was a wee one and I'm not stopping anytime soon! lol This spot has all the junk that your sweet tooth or savory tooth can desire. I've tried other sno-cone places on a whim and none of them can compare to Flamingo's. My personal treat faves are the Flamingo Deluxe/Delight (any requested flavor, sno-cone on top of vanilla ice cream) the Tropical (chunks of fruit topped by snocone, has chile but you can request with no chile) and a traditional raspa w crema on top. Their food is awesome too. You can't go wrong ordering an elote (corn in a cup) or their chicken salad sandwich or frito pies or their fruit cocktail. The large fruit cocktail can go for about $6-$7 bucks but it's worth it since they give you large pieces of fresh fruit and it has a good variety (coconut, watermelon, cucumber etc). If you're a newbie here I suggest coming during the week around 12-2pm or so since it's not very busy then, but if you're coming here on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening, forget it!! lol You will have a wait but I promise you, it will be worth it when you get to that glorious window! Worst experienced in my life At this place. Extremely rude customer service. First, we waited one hour in drive thru! Second, when we pull up to the window the lady is so rude, shouldn't you always be nice to someone you don't know especially if they are buying from th business you get paychecks from. Awesome place! Snow cones are huge and cheap. Plus they have all the flavors. With the whole new food truck scene, these sno cone trucks are charging $4-8 for one sno cone! That is ridiculous. Decided to venture out and try out this spot that alot of people talk about for raspas and elote. So today was the day. Stopped by with some friends this afternoon. I ordered the mangonada which had fresh cut up mango and raspa and I have to admit it had a kick of spicy.. made my nose run a little. Also got the corn in the cup with everything and that was spicy too. The corn was $2.50 for their small size and raspa was $2.75 for their small. My friends ordered the banana shake which she said was good and another friend ordered the chamoy raspa and nachos. They also have pickles, shakes, nachos, mexican hot dogs, frito pies, etc. This is a cash only place with lots of outdoor seating and a dj playing spanish music...mainly salsa and stuff.
