This food was so good! Their homemade tortillas were on point and the mole was nostalgic i loved it! They gave complimentary fideo which i loved and for being busy our food came out pretty fast and our server was very attentive! I would 10/10 recommend and be back!

Amazing experience from start to finish! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome the entire time. You can tell they really care about their customers. If you're looking for great Mexican food on the Northside, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely be coming back! Such a nice and friendly crowd as well! Love the atmosphere here!

They included some nice top grain leather sheets with my food, but unfortunately I ordered beef.

Rice is flavorless, beans taste like viscous water, enchiladas are practically empty, and the "beef" is drier than fresh laundry. Seriously, it's legally classified as jerky at this point. I tried to rip it apart and I actually hurt my hand it was so hard.

First time coming to Los Mendoza, and it was a great experience! The food was really good, and the agua de piña was amazing--definitely a highlight. I made reservations, and they seated us quickly without much of a wait, which I appreciated. They also gave complimentary sopa de fideo and a queso flauta, both of which were really tasty. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes--just a bit spicy for my taste, but still full of great flavor. Our server, Juan Carlos, was very attentive and did an excellent job explaining the menu options, which made the experience even better. Overall, a great visit and I'd definitely come back!

This place was amazing, the people were very friendly and the food was amazing. It does get crowded so I would highly recommend going early especially if you are doing breakfast. If I'm ever in the area or decide to drive out I'll definitely stop here again. All the dishes were good, didn't disappoint at all.

Wonderful event today, we were fortunate enough to have our end of the year breakfast here and everything was delicious. Started out with a great fruit skewer, and avocado toast that was delicious. Lulu and Juan did a great job taking care of our table. Our second plate was chilaquiles rojos with chorizo and eggs, followed by French toast with fruits and whipped cream. Cafe de olla was served and great flavor. The ambiance is casual. We had a great time with SomosLoud. Glad to have been a part of such great service. Truly recommend this restaurant.

This place is great for authentic Mexican food. They have a variety of dishes from different parts of Mexico and are all reasonably priced. As a starter, everyone gets a complimentary mini bowl of soup and a flauta which is out of the ordinary for restaurants nowadays. At my table, we tried the tacos ahogados, torta ahogada, mojarra frita, cochinita pibil, pancake plate, gordita de barbacoa, flautas, and churros with ice cream. Everything was delicious and no one had a single complaint. They also had a variety of aguas frescas which were very fresh. I had the agua de guayaba, which is rare to find at Mexican restaurants and really liked that it wasn't overly sweet. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back when we're in the area.

This tiny place packs alot of flavor and is on point with mexican food. Had the menudo, chilaquile tacos, huevos a la Mexicana and menudo. With the Michelada and horchata. Best horchata in the world ive had it in usa mexico spain etc and this place beat them all. The chilaquiles hot damn man they were fire!! The menudo had the right flavor with just enough kick. And the tortillas both corn and flour ate made fresh daily! I dont live near this place but im making this drive!

My family I came here after seeing it on TikTok recently; it was a mere 30-40 minute drive. Upon arrival, there was a line outside and we were told there was a 40 minute wait, but that they would call us when a table was ready. We drove around for over an hour and came back as we still hadn't received a phone call. Coincidentally, we were next to be seated; not sure if that was bs or true. Anyhow, upon entering, it wasn't all that big inside. You aren't able to see inside from outside as there are curtains on all of the windows. It definitely was crowded as all the seats were filled. Shortly after sitting down, we were served one cup of soup even though there were four of us. Odd, but the runner came back with three more servings a few minutes later. That soup was DELISH! It was a typical Mexican style vegetarian soup with potato chunks. We placed our order maybe 10 or so minutes later and I ordered the green chilaquiles with a jamaica drink. The meals didn't come out together at all, which was kind of awkward. One came out, then two more, and then finally mine. We were without silverware for a hot minute, too. Overall, the food was delicious. Would I return? Only if I was in the area and ONLY if it was right when they opened.

They have a great variety of NATURAL juices!!

Beautiful presentation and the flavors were yummy of the Texas toast French toast, the oat whipped cream & maple syrup were great. The Jupiter breakfast was $21 & the GF French toast was about $12 with $4 fruit cup. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my GF French toast. The mock-tail mule was nothing special for $9 of juice :/. In total we spent $58 which is a lot in our opinion. Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.
