Urban escape studio! So comfy and spacious
Monica B.

Spacious, luxurious accommodations and friendly service! My partner and I stayed here for just 1 night for a little weekend getaway. Santa Rosa has a lot of breweries, so I highly recommend a visit - and staying overnight so you can drink!! The location of the hotel is perfect - right in downtown - walking distance to Russian River Brewing Company! There are other breweries and plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well. I needed a fridge because I brought some food from home to eat lol. I was kindly upgraded to a studio room! It was soo spacious. I like to bring a yoga mat when I travel - and there was plenty of space to do yoga and more! Lol. The studio room has not one but two double-door/sliding door closets - maybe ideal for longer stays haha. There were two sofas, a full size fridge/freezer, sink, small dishwasher, stovetop, and a Nespresso machine. There was a comfy king size bed, TV, and a small balcony as well. All the details about the space feel comfortable, modern, new, and luxurious. When we called for more coffee pods, they were happy to bring them to our room - and did so in a timely fashion. The cherry on top is that checkout time was noon! We slept in comfortably and took advantage of a later than average checkout time. The only downside is parking - $15/night. Be prepared for that! Also, check the area for alternative parking garages. I hope to come back and stay again!

Still agree that it was a nice place to stay after 6 weeks. Ruth is awesome and really gives the whole place the appeal. So interesting and a great personality. Tony is very helpful, Juanita was very friendly too. Loved our room. But a few updates only for the purpose of more accurate information, not necessarily complaints as some of it comes with the territory: The washer and dryer are convenient, washer does a great job. The dryer was a pain, do smaller loads and I noticed that I had to adjust the clothes to be on the right of one of the baffles (fins) of the drum. And then it would start but would take several cycles to dry even on sanitize. The dishwashers are newer but don't do a great job (I know a lot don't). The kitchen sink is huge though! And the coffee pods for the Nespresso machine are great! It is a bit loud of an ally. I could hear people speaking, cars and when sanitation came by (which seemed fairly frequently) it was LOUD. I heard the people move around upstairs fairly often but not enough to complain over. Couldn't really hear neighbors or when rooms were being serviced. Which brings me to my next subject. Housekeeping. We did not have service daily nor weekly. We did put our trash outside the front door in the am while they were cleaning and taking out trash. We mostly cleaned for ourselves and maybe had the bedding changers ~4 times, just asking for towels etc ourselves. The first couples times the housekeeping was decent. Two rolls of toilet paper, dishwasher soap packets and all trashes were emptied. Now after that, coffee pods were not refilled, all trashes were not emptied, no toilet paper left, one time my box of tissues was taken or thrown away. I parked in the garage and one of the carts had toilet paper and tissue boxes so I grabbed one of each and told the night worker I had because we were out. I started having to come down for these items. Another time dirty water was left in the tub and not drained and some cleaning solutions left in the bathroom. I kept the place clean and since I noticed they didn't sweep or clean the floors we requested a broom, which i received, and started sweeping myself. I am a clean person and kept the place in order, it was 6 weeks, basically my apartment. We were charged a cleaning fee in the beginning and considering I kept it clean I did not feel I needed to tip, I was already charged ‍. (I normally do at hotels especially for long stays and most Residence inns would do my dishes, wipe counters, clean floors, the works...). Additionally the job wasn't that great. In the end we were asked if we had tipped or left a tip for them to clean since we were leaving. It is my understanding that when a guest leaves you must clean everything, refill everything. And with the exception of leaving out unopened boxes of food and kitchen items that I felt someone may want, I picked up after myself and don't feel there was a significant amount of work to do considering it had been kept clean. This irritated me and leads me to believe that the job became less than satisfactory because they felt they were owed a tip. I work over 48 hours a week and manage to keep quiet and clean up after myself, go down to get my own supplies and not request housekeeping. I was offended that they did less and less each time and wanted a tip at the end. I paid over 9k for 6 weeks. Moving on, I would suggest that housekeeping get organized and if a tip is expected then maybe that should be mentioned or arranged differently in the payment. Otherwise the place itself is beautiful, there are balconies in some units as well as windows that open for some fresh air. Yes, I would stay again.

I think I might be one of the very first guests. The building still smells like the paint is drying. There's no art up on the walls anywhere -- it currently looks really ... barren. If I was staying longer than just my one night, I'd find it to be really depressing. That being said, because it is still new it's also very clean and quiet. Its location is exceptionally convenient. My brief encounter with the staff at the front desk during check in was very friendly. Again, there's literally no decoration while I was here. There's empty shelves really to be covered. This place might be interesting in the next few weeks/months as they settle in. For now, it's not bad.

beautiful decor and furnishings in luxury urban hotel.

The front desk employee, was annoyed when I arrived at 2:00. She lectured me about rooms not being ready, and how she doesn't like the app giving guests the option to check-in early. Rooms are old and dont smell great. There were also some unsavory type guests staying in some neighboring rooms. I got he feeling this may be a popular place for unhoused people to stay when they get enough money together for a room. Our next door neighbor was clearly on drugs and came outside and glared at us and slammed his door each time we went to our car. Very odd and a bit unsettling. Bottom line, this hotel is just too inexpensive to be a safe place to stay. I'll just pay $20 more p night and stay in a Hampton Inn or Garden Inn as opposed to this location.

Stayed here before and the property is very nice, so there was no reason to go elsewhere. Overall,…read moreanother great stay but not without some mishaps. The weekend we stayed was a busy one, so the property was mostly occupied. The staff was moving as quickly and as efficiently as possible. Upon check-in, which was an hour late beyond check-in time, we had to store our luggage with the front desk. We were hoping to get in on time so we could freshen up before our wine tasting but we just used the lobby bathroom. When we got back from lunch, we get to our one-bedroom suite, which is the Sonoma Garden Suite. The room is super nice and spacious room with a full patio (see photos); it easily fits 4-5 (two full beds and one couch). But we had one problem....the room was soooo hot...mind you, we went on a hot weekend. We called for service and they send the engineer to look at our AC unit twice. Air was blowing, but it was warm air. At this point, we decided we cannot stay in this room, and I asked the front desk what can be done. They said they could move us to another room. I asked for TWO rooms bc technically, the suite we had was a room made for 4+ people and I booked it for the sole factor being we had lots of extra space (800+ SF). After a little back and forth, the young lady at the front desk said there was nothing they could do bc they only had ONE room. Then the front desk manager Eddie Huang stepped in and said they will try to fix the AC one more time when my group and I were out to dinner. Before leaving, I asked in the event the AC is NOT fixed, what are our options. He said they would figure that out when I got back, but I told him I didn't want to deal with this after a later dinner; I would rather have some kind of backup plan as the two first visits from the engineer did not result in anything. I left slightly annoyed, bc although I was reassured they would make it right, there was no clear plan. We left for dinner, came back to the room, changed, and made the decision that we needed to get out of this room ASAP. Luckily two of the gals were able to deal with the air, but two of us could not. So, we marched to the front desk and front desk manager Eddie was still there. He said he has taken the necessary steps to move us into TWO rooms and that they are ready now. Told him we only needed one room since the other two guests were ok with staying where they were. The next morning, we checked out and Eddie was there again, said he reimbursed us all our points, and took care of the resort/parking fee as well. I was pleasantly surprised. I know sometimes the staff can only do so much, especially given it was a busy weekend, but I have to say the two times I've been here, the staff was very nice and keep their cool. Patrons can be unruly so a high-five to them for dealing with the complaints. This property remains one of the nicer ones and is within walking distance of so many good eats. I would go back again and hopefully try to make use of that nice patio in that suite I booked.

Great hotel, visited twice: once in January and one in April…read more Both times got early check in when reached out in advance, got upgraded (possibly, due to being a Hyatt member) and the second time the visit was for a birthday so received two small wine cans and some candies, which was a very nice touch! The rooms both times were clean, with comfortable beds, and all amenities seemed great as well. Did not use the pool or the hot tub but they were on the premises. I did like the daily events available: went to a yoga class on one morning and on one of the evenings to the s'mores night, both are free for those who stay at the hotel. I did not hear any neighbors on any of then nights but maybe got lucky. Can walk to the nearby restaurants which is a plus as well. Will be back again if will visit the area.

First of all, Hilton booking sucks. It wouldn't let me book online so I had to call on the phone…read more They are also one of the only chains that charges more for refundable booking (which ended up being relevant). It looked like the price was fluctuating only about $5-10 per day so I decided to book. After, I booked, the price dropped by about $50 per night (taking taxes and fees into account) including up until the day of our trip. I tried to call on the phone to request an upgrade to account for that, and I will save you the details, but they were extremely unhelpful. Then the hotel was 98% sold out. Already a bit of a sour taste... The room is tiny; I originally thought the bathroom was a closet. This is the smallest hotel room I have stayed in ever. The bed takes up most of the room. Ridiculously small. The bed is rather large and comfy. The pool was VERY busy over the weekend. I used the gym/health club sufficiently so that was a positive. Local residents can join the club so it really is a full size gym with classes. It is a few parking lots walk over depending on where your room is located. This made up for some of the negatives with pricing and room size. The location is great depending on what you want to explore. The vibe of the hotel itself is cool with the restoration. Checkout is at noon, which is considerably later than I have experienced elsewhere. Overall, we had a good time but would likely book here again only if the price was right (and not a basic room)!
