This is right inside the Days Inn. I heard it had been renovated and I wish it included the restaurant. I was curious about this place for awhile. The salad was very good and I loved the homemade blue cheese, a good size too. I was going to get a flank steak but I fell for the special a London broil. Big mistake, it had been in the saltiest marinade and it should have been washed off. It comes sliced and I can't believe no one tasted this. I gave most of it to Basil and really was too stunned to send it back. Just so unexpected. His king size prime rib more of a queen size was quite delicious though. I enjoyed the stacked potatoes that came with it that were salted just right. They were crispy too. He chose the buttery whipped potatoes and they were delicious. Overall the experience was okay. The customer service provided by Nicole was amazing and she truly saved this from being a 1 star review with her amazing service. The salads were good as they are simple salads. Out of all the food on each dinner plate I was only impressed by the potatoes which were amazing and the carrots were the second best I have ever had!! I could eat them as a daily snack! I was not a fan of the beef Wellington it tasted kinda funny but my husband tried it and said it was okay. The layered potato was alright. The asparagus was unflavored and bland. The steak was alright. Overall our bill was $70 and we only really liked the salads and two sides. Great spot for lunch in downtown Hutch. Had the mac and cheese bites, meatloaf sandwich, and my fiance got an elevated BLT. Everything was delicious, although we did think the mac and cheese bites could have a little more cheese flavor. Our server, Brandi, was awesome. She was super attentive and very knowledgeable. My husband and I visited Flank Steakhouse for our 16th anniversary. Because they're newly opened we wanted to give them plenty of time to find their groove. When we arrived (reservations only on Friday nights) we were quickly seated at a great table for two with a view of Hutchinson's North Park. I ordered the beef Wellington and my husband ordered the hanger. Both were delicious and prepared perfectly. The table next to us was also celebrating an anniversary, and we were treated to an operetta performance of a lovely song about a rose. We were also given champagne. We had our wedding reception at Flank Steakhouse in December of 2021 and it was amazing! We love the ambiance of Flank, the decor, and the food! We were looking to have a small wedding and thinking outside the box - we were interested in having something small, local, and with really good food! We presented our idea to Vince and Amanda to have our wedding reception there and they were totally on board! They were excited to host, offered creative ideas, and were very responsive throughout the planning process! We reserved the whole restaurant and had around 85 people. It did not feel crowded and everyone had room to sit, walk, chat, and be served. Even the kids were pleased! They have my favorite beer on tap, along with a lot of other great options, including from local breweries! They also had amazing non-alcoholic options like strawberry mint lemonade. They served delicious appetizers - one my husband loved that was made of mushrooms (and he doesn't even like mushrooms!). We had our meal served - surf and turf - which everyone loved! We chose the house salad and hanger steak with carrots and garlic mashed potatoes with a prawn. There were a lot to clean plates and many compliments! Regretfully, we don't even have pictures of the main meal because we were too busy enjoying it. They also served a variety of desserts that our guests really enjoyed. I cannot give them enough praise! The wait staff and kitchen staff was also wonderful! Vince has some serious talent and passion for what he does and it shows! Amanda is very detail-oriented, creative, and such a gracious host. I recommend Flank Steakhouse to anyone - whether it is for lunch, a nice date night dinner, a get together with friends for drinks, or ... maybe even a wedding! read more

Having come from a city that had a wide variety of dining and food options, I was very much looking forward to Flank Steakhouse when it first came to Hutchinson. The food was good. The service was so incredibly slow. We had been there a little over 2 and a half hours and it wasn't super busy (yes it was about 1/2-3/4 full ...) and there were many staff on the floor. The price was less than I anticipated, still pricey, but affordable. I also recognize that the food was served in courses, but it was far too long of a a meal. It was also quite loud as they had a singer/ music as well, so it was harder to have a good conversation. read more

The customer service was great the servers and bartender was very accommodating. I went with my coworkers for a team building dinner. I had the salmon with risotto and my coworkers all had the steak with various sides. The mash potatoes were brown and I thought they were sweet potatoes, but they were not. I tasted the mashed potatoes and they were chunky and salty. They had the biggest asparagus and green beans that were beautiful in color. My salmon was dry and salty and the risotto was rich and salty. Not to be rude, but I have had way better. Also I did want to have a glass of Merlot, but all that was on the drink menu was Bogle for $9 a glass when you can buy the bottle for 12 at the liquor store. On a good note their homemade onion vinaigrette was AMAZING . Which leaves me thinking that maybe we were there on an off night. So I would like to try them again. read more

We are thrilled to have discovered this gem of restaurant! Everything and I mean everything was perfect. Warm greeting by hostess, servers operated as a team with everyone making sure we had what we needed. And the food! Bruschetta perfectly prepared, an unusual but delicious carrot ginger soup, lovely fresh salad. Main courses come with side and soup or salad. Quite generous. I made reservations for Friday at 7:30pm. We were seated right away, and we order an appetizer which came out quickly, and then we placed our order for our meals. I ordered a juicy Lucy with a side of asparagus. My boyfriend ordered a hanger steak with the beer cheese Mac n cheese. We waited almost an hour before the waitress even check on us. She said she would go and check on our food. The waitress came back and said it was almost done, 15 minutes later our food comes out. I'm pretty sure they forgot tp place our order. I tried my asparagus first.....it was cold and had way too much sauce on it. Then I bit into my $22 juicy Lucy, and the bun was dry and the burger was burnt. I was definitely not juicy, in fact I needed ketchup because it was so dry. It had absolutely no flavor. The Mac n cheese was cold and had no flavor, and the steak had no flavor or seasoning. I'm extremely disappointed, especially for the price I paid for a burnt burger. The waitress didn't even ask how our meal was. I will definitely not be going back to the Flank Steakhouse. read more

I normally don't listen to or write bad reviews but there were a few things wrong with the restaurant, if you can even call it that. One weird thing is they only give you a butter knife to cut your steak or any other meat you have. They also under season everything and don't supply you with salt or pepper. We waited 40 minutes to get two drinks, an hour to get a salad then an hour and fifteen minutes to get one appetizer that we said to bring out with the meal, THEN an hour and twenty minutes to get the meals without the sides. The sides finally came out an hour and a half later. They say asparagus with a side of béarnaise sauce but it should be béarnaise sauce with a side of uncooked asparagus. Literally every dish has béarnaise sauce, even if it doesn't need it. The prawn cocktail is two unpeeled shrimp with a swipe of cocktail sauce on the plate. The tenderloin tips are a glorified salad with only two tenderloin tips. I've also had better calamari from Target for half the price. The only good thing was the fact that they took the undercooked asparagus off the bill. I'd say going to Applebee's would be better, and I never say that. read more
