Since we were back in the area for a DMV for a brief visit we knew exactly where we were stopping before heading to the airport. Hubs ordered his usual sausage, egg and cheese sandwich , and I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich along with an iced mocha. I had completely forgotten they have a Starbucks on-site with a limited menu. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing a cookie and a chocolate croissant for later. The food arrived fresh, hot, and exactly as expected. The staff is always friendly and personable. You see professionals, students and the locals coming in and out, but there is seating available. Conversations are at a minimum and despite the attached restaurant you can still hear yourself and the other person without yelling. One thing I appreciate about Best Buns is the consistency. Whether it's been months or years between visits, the quality never seems to change. The sandwiches are flavorful, the ingredients taste fresh, and nothing feels like it was sitting around waiting to be reheated. Everything is prepared to order, and you can taste the difference. My sandwich disappeared one bite at a time, and Hubs completely demolished his croissant sandwich without hesitation. That's usually all the confirmation I need. Some restaurants are good. Some are memorable, but there are the places that become part of your routine whenever you're back in town. Best Buns has earned that status for us. Five stars earned! Consistently fresh. Consistently delicious. We'll be dropping in on another turn and burn later this month...

The 4 bite-size Ozzie Rolls were fun to try. The Chocolate Espresso Chew Cookie was moist and fudgey, sweet ending to our meal! Plain Croissant was standard. The Pink Drink with housemade syrup, coconut milk and strawberries was refreshing and tasty. It was my pick from the Strawberry Lemonade and Dragon fruit Lemonade. The Lemonades were a bit too sweet. I ordered the food to dine in and it was packaged to go. I wish the food could be prepared for dining in. It's a pet peeve of mine to see all of the grease oozing out of fries in a brown bag. There were also Styrofoam plates and plastic straws, wish there were more environmental-friendly products. Might be back for brunch if there's a dine-in option.

I left empty handed based on this interaction and will be purchasing pods from a different Nespresso boutique based on principle alone.
