I don't generally write bad reviews but this one warranted one. This had to be the most sad plate of Jamaican food I've ever been served, if you can even call it Jamaican. For starters I ordered jerk pork and was given jerk chicken. Fine. Whatever. I really wanted the pork but I like chicken too. The chicken had zero jerk flavor. And when I say zero, I mean absolutely nothing. No spice. No pimento, thyme, garlic, ginger....nothing. It legit just tasted like grilled chicken. Insanely disappointing. I also ordered a side of their "special sauce" which I paid for and never received. Maybe that would have helped but I'll never know. I also got their curry chicken plate. Again....zero flavor at all. And no curry sauce to speak of. Just lightly coated yellow pieces of chicken that seemed like they just cooked it in turmeric and water. Horrible. The gunga peas and rice tasted like cardboard. Thank god I had some pepper sauce I made a few days ago because if I didn't this entire meal would have been borderline inedible. With all the great Caribbean restaurants we have down here I will absolutely never recommend (no) Flavors Caribbean to anyone. read more

I'm pretty stingy with 5 star reviews -- even if the food is good, normally it has to be a full service restaurant. But I'm making an exception. The food we had here was outstanding. Probably the best of it's kind that we've ever had. And I've been to Jamaica a few times and to most of the Caribbean islands. The sauce was so delicious we wanted to eat it like soup with a spoon. We stopped in for lunch. It's mainly a takeout place, but they do have a couple booths and a small counter with a few stools for dine in. We chose to eat there. And while we were eating, we saw a line of people coming for takeout and pickup. My husband got their "small" brown stew chicken and it looked so good, I got the same. You can see the food right in front of you at the counter where you order. They also had oxtail, curried chicken and curried goat, and jerked chicken. The "small" meal, btw, was big enough for our lunch and dinner. Along with the chopped up pieces of chicken in a rich brown sauce came a flavorful rice, cooked cabbage and carrots, and a few plantains. We both asked for extra sauce on the rice -- and you should too. Like oxtail, this meal is hands on -- that is you need to pick off the chicken meat from the bone with your mouth and fingers. If you don't mind doing this, you're in for a treat. We both kept oohing and ahh-ing over the flavors. We will definitely return to have this meal again and to try their other options. read more

The brown stew chicken and the rice with peas is delicious. The brown stew sauce in general is incredibly delicious. However, I was not impressed with the the oxtail. Aside from the exorbitant price of the oxtail (I expect this for oxtail), my main issue was that I was served mostly fatty meat and much less lean meat. The service was fine but the restaurant could use some cleaning. Lastly, the price and portions of the chicken and rice is amazing. read more

What a pleasant delicious surprise! It's a tiny place where you choose what you want from a display of prepared hot food. There's a good variety of vegetables, chicken dishes, collard greens (yummy!) Ordered thru Uber eats and they forgot to pack 1lb of jerk chicken. Called the store and their answer was "I didn't pack the food ask for refund thru Uber eats" wow! Excellent customer service!!! Not even a manager because I heard the person on the phone asking what he should respond...... thanks for nothing for half of my friends that came for dinner. First of all I ordered through Uber eats and they gave us the wrong order. I ordered two orders of jerk chicken, but God was looking out for me and I only received one order. My stomach was upset for two days straight. The worst experience I had eating out, the food was terrible. Chicken was very dry and the rice and peas had a funny taste to it. I ate half of the food because I was starving but didnt finish it because of the taste. Next time ill spend the extra money at Curlys or elsewhere read more
