During the summer we go to Flecks as much as we can. Be forewarned that the line can be out the door on most nights, so try to get there early. They do a great job on moving people through pretty fast. Wonderful selection of sundaes and fresh homemade ice cream makes this place tops. A true jem and great local ice cream location. Open from February through late October. Even though the line may appear long, especially in the summer, it moves fairly quickly. Most of their sundaes are baseball-themed, but have a traditonal wet-nut sundae. Soft serve or hard ice cream, water ice, or ice cream sodas. Cannot go wrong with whatever you choose. read more

I love Fleck's! Best ice cream near Wildwood and Cape May for the best prices! I grew up going to Duffer's in Wildwood and this ice cream compares but at a way more reasonable price. The place is clean and has a really friendly staff (except one guy) and is usually pretty busy. They have a really large menu of yummy homemade flavors, sundaes, big chills, milkshakes, Italian ice, specials, and toppings so you can create your own. My favorite is their chocolate peanut butter ice cream with Reeses pieces and Take 5. Yum! The decor is cute with classic 50s stuff and tons of Phillies memorabilia which my nephews love! Delicious!! I have been several times and it's always amazing. The child size is only one scoop but that once scoop is huge and usually enough for me. They have tons of options if you really want to indulge. The cookie dough icecream is the best I have ever had, I highly recommend it! The staff is friendly. People who know me know that I have been in the customer service industry for basically my whole life and even if something is wrong at a restaurant or establishment I WILL NEVER complain or even write a bad review. Tonight was very different at flecks ice cream in the villas right outside of wildwood. First they overcharged us $20 which we politely questioned (no fault at all to the counter girl she made an honest mistake) I am assuming the man she approached was her "manager" but he continued to scream about us asking for a receipt through the window which we and literally everyone outside could hear. He then literally threw the $20 at my brother and slammed the window and continued to scream about us. AND THE ORDER WAS STILL WRONG Needless to say we trashed the ice cream and went to hassles instead and the customer service was A+ as usual read more

Update! This place is beginning to slack, probably because they're getting a big head due to the big crowds. Went and ordered Rocky Road ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles. Without telling me, they gave me CHOCOLATE ice cream because they were out of Rocky Road. How in the world did I not know about this place? Had dinner at the Back Bay Bistro this past Saturday and I was looking on Yelp for ice cream places and Flecks popped up. We decided to check it out. Not only is the ice cream delicious but it smells so good in there (waffles?). They have so many specialty sundaes it's almost dizzying trying to decide what you want. Line was out the door but it moved very quickly. By the time we reached the front I still didn't know what I wanted so I just picked something real quick. This is a good, solid ice cream place. It was busy when we went in around 6:45 on a Thursday evening. The staff was friendly and we loved the baseball themed sections. I got a brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream, peanut butter, hot fudge, whipped cream and a cherry and my wife got the Home Run sundae: peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter, hot fudge, crumbled Reese's cups, whipped cream and a cherry. Normally the Home Run comes as a five scoop sundae, but they let my wife get the two-scoop size and she still had to bring home leftovers. Will definitely visit again. read more

My family and I are regulars at Fleck's ice cream but Tonight my younger cousin and I went in around 10:20, not like they were closing very soon. I simply asked for a P.B. Tandy And and a twisted Pillsbury doughboy. Not only did i get an eye roll when i was great but noticed on my way home that we were also over charged. Our server then when handed me the dripping pillsbury doughboy i asked for a cup carrier he proceeded to throw it at me. Not only was it incredibly rude but insulting to think that, that is ok to do this in your place of work; even worse when you are the owners son. This is NOT the first experience i have had here unfortunately. We previously had a younger blonde woman who when greeted us was simply "what do you want" We call this PROFESSIONAL now? We will NOT be returning due to the rude encounters that have occurred on multiple occasions. read more

Went for the first time last week - the ice cream and selections were amazing! The server was courteous and patient since it a was bit difficult to decide with all the choices they offer. They serve Richman's ice cream, which I have not seen for quite awhile - it is still as great as I remember! Can't wait to go back to try something different. I felt bad for the couple in front of me tonight. They had bought about 3 or 4 different things and had a special request for their last item. The young girl who came on around 6 PM served them. She was condescending and belligerent and then said she was the owners daughter and basically said what she says goes. She would not fulfill their request. Her attitude made them leave without their order in front of other customers.She shows very poor customer service, I have seen these people in several times and she embarrassed them with her attitude, She needs to either be in the background or needs some customer service skills. They were older and I felt bad for them. She was curt with me also. I will be back but if I see her, I will leave or wait for someone else. Just because you are an owner does not give you the right to behave badly.and mistreat customers. read more
