Five stars for customer service at Fleet Farm in Fond du Lac! We blew a tire on our boat trailer while driving up north over the 4th of July weekend. The assistant manager, Meghan was extremely helpful in determining what type of tires would work since they no longer make the same tires we had. She set us up for the earliest appointment at the tire center for the next day and personally spoke with Neal, the service manager about our situation. When we arrived the next morning Neal was aware of our situation. He was extremely busy, but took the time to look at the boat and problem solve ways to make the new tires work. They got all the work done in just a few hours so we could be on our way to enjoy the holiday weekend. I can't say enough about how everyone went above and beyond to help us out! I actually kinda miss the days when the candy tasted like tires....

We like going to Fleet Farm and spend quite a bit of money there - we have a hobby farm and a contracting business. Here is a letter I wrote to Fleet Farm (not sent yet); cannot find out CEO email: This is a rather "long" explanation: My husband, who owns his own business (S-Corporation), does a good deal of business at the Fond du Lac, WI Fleet Farm. We also purchase feed for our animals (we have a hobby farm with goats, llamas, a peacock, plus 2 dogs, and a cat). We also had chickens and are getting more soon. My husband lost his business I-Phone 7 in the Fleet Farm parking lot on Monday, 03/13/2017; the phone must have fallen out of his pocket. There was some snow in the parking lot. His receipt of purchase was dated 11:55 am on Monday, 03/13/2017. He went back to Fleet Farm with a friend that same day approximately 1-2 hours later. He checked the parking lotx2 (snow melted now), the The department where he was x2, and the Customer Service Desk x2 that day. No one knew anything about the phone. I called every day during the week to check on the phone, and also gave the Customer Service Desk our personal information, if someone turned in the phone. Then, on Friday, 03/17/2017, my husband, his friend, and I went back to the Service Desk to check again. We spoke with a younger man and woman employee. They told us the phone was "attempted" to be turned in on 03/13/2017 by an older woman, the day it was lost. Supposedly, another Customer Service Employee, spoke with this "older woman" on that same day. The two employees we spoke to on Friday, 03/17/2017, told us that the employee wrote the older woman's information down, but the 2 employees could not locate this information. The story we were told by these 2 employees was that when the older woman came in to Fleet Farm with the I-Phone, she spoke to the employee; the woman then said she didn't trust Fleet Farm with the phone; she said she was going to take it home and put it in rice. I called Fleet Farm the next day and a Manager said she would call the employee at home to find out where she left the older woman's information. The Manager was unable to contact this employee for 3 days. As of this day, we have not heard anything else about the phone. We called the police about the phone. The employee was questioned by two higher-up employers and her statements were sent to the Police. The employee said the older woman "did not" give her any information. The employee just willingly released the lost phone back to the older "mystery woman". No one at the Fond du Lac Fleet Farm is now giving us any information. I said they should look at videos from that day. One Manager told me I would not know the older woman in the video (my husband and I know many people). I told the Manager that maybe there was not an older woman in the video; she did not understand what I meant. I normally would not complain about something of this concern. The many contradicting stories of the lost I-Phone 7 do not fit into a puzzle. We were also told that the employee reported this incident to the police; the police said she did not. One Manager just said, "I trust this employee". The Police Department was really no help; a loss of this nature would be at the bottom of their list. I have now offered a $50 reward to any information regarding the I-Phone 7. I told a Manager at Fleet Farm that Fleet Farm is liable for this loss, due to the fact that they allowed the phone to leave their store, instead of insisting that the customer release the phone to them. If there were an older woman, she would now be a thief with Fleet Farm allowing this to happen. If the older woman had found the phone and just took it home, without entering Fleet Farm and reporting the phone lost, this story would be different (she would still be a thief). I realize my husband made a mistake by losing his phone. This whole incident could have been solved the same day it was lost. Everything about this sounds "fishy" to everyone we talk to. My husband needs his phone. We tried to trace it with no luck. We called US Cellular and they had to shut the phone down. My husband has been in business almost 30 years. On this I-Phone 7, he had over 300 business contacts that are now gone. His customers had difficulty reaching him during this time and still, thus hurting our business. We are confident that the Fond du Lac Fleet Farm or Fleet Farm Corporation will reimburse our business in monetary value for the I-Phone 7. My husband now purchased a $200 flip-phone 2 days ago; the I-Phone 7s cost was over $700.00. We believe that there should be a meeting with "all" Fleet Farm Employees concerning an incident like this; it should be put in a training manual. I have never heard of a customer coming to a Customer Service Desk at a store with a lost item that they found to be turned in, and then an employee allowing them to take it home. read more
