I know of this store existence since I've moved to Bonney Lake. I guess the main reason why I didn't check it out then is because I obviously haven't ran long-distance in over 3 years, and I just didn't think I'd need a pair of expensive shoes. Anyway, I happened to read a post from my community Group on Facebook about "a progressive sale event" happening through Presidents' Day weekend. I decided to check it out. It's a specialized shoe store, so this isn't DICK'S Sporting Goods Store. The sales associates will actually greet you and assist you if you need to fit any of their shoes. Don't get me wrong... if you're an avid runner and / or need great walking shoes, you should just open up your wallet in order to protect your feet and to feel good while exercising, you know? Let's just say I've gotten heck great deals on the merchandise. I've purchased a pair of Brooks Ghost Running shoes for 40% off, and other running gears for 50-65% off. It's A DEAL! I'm coming back there today in order to get couple more stuff before they'd end their sales event. read more

We were so happy to find this store! I have been a Brooks shoe fan for years, but then I tried on Hoka shoes here! The salesperson was so helpful. We ended up buying wonderful new sport socks and shoes, and my feet have never been happier! We are FANS and recommend this store highly. read more

I could no longer hike due to pain from planter fasciitis. After getting checked at the store and buying a compression sleeve, the correct inserts and and a new pair of trail shoes, I'm back on the trail! Having developed about a half a dozen foot problems over the past few years, I am exhausted trying to figure out what to do. Each problem needs a different type of shoe to remedy it. Also suspected I needed a new size. It is very hard to get a fitting in this day and age of "do it yourself". Plus the Euro sizing and being told that you need different sizes from different manufacturers is enough to leave you in tears. Fleet Feet was recommended to me. While I didn't purchase anything that day and am still deciding, I was very impressed with the service. Cayan helped me thoroughly, was very patient with my questions, and explained things well. He was very knowledgeable about the shoes and foot conditions. Store was clean and quiet. They did have more wide shoes than usual, which is nice. No pressure either. Great place! read more

Loved my experience with Shannon today! I normally have a very difficult time finding shoes (very narrow, flat feet) and with my new job coming up requiring me to be on my feet all day I needed good shoes. I'm also very indecisive. While their prices are slightly higher than Zappos, Fleet Feet provide a critical service that justifies the price (well perhaps two services, more on that in a bit): they provide the proper fitting. Fleet Feet provides one of the coolest, science driven shoe fittings I've ever experienced. My fitting was based on multiple measurements, then a slo-mo video (to observe pronation) of my feet on a treadmill, then opportunities to test out the actual shoes. The second critical service is the way Fleet Feet takes part in local sporting events, such as the recent Oktoberfest 5k. Because of that, there are numerous timed events in the Pierce County area. A final note is that Fleet Feet's staff seems welcoming to new runners. I don't feel like an outsider talking to a member of a clique, like I have at other running stores. I have bone spurs in both my feet and they have been killing me so with me starting a new job where I will be on my feet all day I came in so I can get the right pair that will be good for me. Well I left with two pairs of shoes lol. It's a bit expensive but the service is 5* I will be taking my daughter who has wide feet there to get some shoes for her now. Great service - real runners work there, and they know how to do proper fittings. Wish they handled wide feet better - my last trip to them they didn't have anything for me in stock for my "mild support" pronation gait in a 9 wide. Fred Flinstrone feet! I was just wanting to pick-up a new pair of my regular running shoes since I left my primary pair at the vacation house. They said they could order me something in - would take 7 - 10 days, I ended up ordering them from Zappos and got them in less than 48 hours (and 10 cheaper). I try to buy local whenever I can, especially when we get such great service, but I think they need to find a way to work with their suppliers & improve on how they handle special orders. read more

I'm not a runner, but I started walking several times a week for an hour at a time. I was not getting overly tired, but my feet were really hurting. A friend recommended I go to Fleet Feet. I explained to the sales lady the pain I was having. She did several measurements and watched my stride on the treadmill. She was able to tell me what type of shoes would work best for me. She spent quite a bit of time explaining things. She also recommended some local trails I didn't know about in the area. It's been about a month since I bought the shoes and my feet are doing much better. I'm not sure if I would have been able to keep up the weekly workouts without the new shoes. I'll be back as soon as these wear out. I don't know if I could have found them cheaper elsewhere, but the expertise and great customer service has won me over. read more

When growing up in the sixties, going to the shoe store, the shoe salesmen were all highly trained in fitting shoes to your feet. Now you don't see that anymore, with the exception of Redwing Shoe Store & Nordstrom's. This place was recommended to me by the Neovita Foot Comfort Store where I bought my custom orthotics. I must say that they do an excellent job in fitting shoes to my feet. I wear a wide width & this store is good for people with wide feet. They ordered a nice pair of Brooks walking shoes & they are real comfortable on long walks. I plan on buying my next pair of walking shoes here. read more

Fleet Feet Sports is one of the best running/walking specialty stores in the state of Washington. Voted Best of the Northwest in 2007 by Competitor magazine, they certainly deserve this award, as the staff is always friendly and willing to spend time with each and every customer. Not only are the staff friendly but they are extremely knowledgable about running and walking shoes, various foot problems and injuries, training plans, etc. Also, unlike many other running stores in the area, their method of fitting shoes is very unique and thorough. They use video gait analysis and traditional measurements (something no one does anymore!) to determine what type of shoe is best for each customer. The video gait analysis is the best part, as you are able to see EXACTLY what your body is doing and they explain WHY you need the shoes you do. The go-to place for shoes and running accessories in the Bonney Lake area. I started going here for shoes in 2008 when I decided to take up running. I was skeptical because most shoe stores don't carry a size 14. When I walked in that was the first thing I asked about, and Paul said, "Of course we do!" They put me through a little test on the treadmill to see what kind of shoe would be best for my body and running gait. Then I had a selection of at least 5 different pairs and brands to choose from. I got to try them on, and take them for a test run outside before making a decision, They didn't mind how long it was going to take, as long as I got the right shoe for me. Since then, I have bought a bunch of shoes, gear, and food from them and the level of service has never decreased. My wife even bought a pair of shoes that started to hurt her feet after doing a 5 and 10 mile run. They let her exchange them for a different pair with no questions asked. read more

While they may seem knowledgeable my husband was trying to purchase a present for me and the sales person was feeding him tons of lies. I LOVE my Mizuno shoes. So of course I did my homework to show my husband. The salesperson tried to tell him that last years model was the newest model and that this years model was an old version and they no longer carried it. He tried pushing a shoe color my husband knew I would hate just to get a sale in his store instead of offering to see if they could have it shipped to store. Please make sure you know what you are looking for at this store. Not a large selection in Mizuno shoes which I am disappointed in because they are the only ones I will buy. read more

I would have given Fleet Feet a five star rating, but on my last visit, I was very disappointed at the service I received. In the past, they have tried very hard to find just the right shoe and right fit for me. One thing that I have experienced from Fleet Feet is that they lace you up and unlace you. This time, the salesman brought out the shoes, and went to help someone else, while I was left to lace up my sneakers. I could have done that at any other store. When that shoe did not work, he brought out another pair. Again, he left me to my avail to struggle with the shoelaces to get undone. I had trouble undoing the laces, he saw I was struggling and did not offer to help. I did not try to get the laces undone anymore, and left the store. read more

I purchased my first pair of running shoes at this location over a year ago. I received exceptional service at that visit and took my mom there to buy her shoes also. She received the same terrific service. I've received great service in Tacoma also. I went today as I needed new shoes and I was very surprised at the BAD service. I was asked what I was looking for when I walked in and I said new running shoes. He asked if I wanted the same as what I had on which I responded that I did like them. Without asking me one more question, he went back and got 3 pair of shoes. He did not ask me one question nor did he offer to put the shoes on me. He sat them down and just looked at me. I'm happy that I had done alot of research on my own or I would've walked out with nothing. I had to ask about the difference between the shoes he brought and his answers were "basically" they are all the same. Interesting as they were 3 different kinds of shoes. I did decide to purchase a pair of shoes as I had done alot of research on the saucony brand. He immediately walked to the register without asking if I was needing anything additional. I did tell him that I wanted to look at the sports bras. I can understand why he may not want to help me with a bra but no offer to ask 2 of the other associates who were women to help me. It was very awkward as I got the impression that I was bothering him by being in the store. I found a pair of shorts that I had been looking for which were on sale. When he rung me up, I was charged incorrectly which I had to point out. Again, feeling like I was a bother, he did correct the charge. I walked to my car and noticed that I had received no receipt. I walked back in and another associate was there, I told her that I had received no receipt and she looked at me like i was bothering her. it's an ok store, nothing special. i recently moved here and am pretty active so i thought i would try and get some shoes for tall the good trails out here. unfortunately they dont have a lot of trail gear compared to the fleet feet i used to live by. i left empty handed but the people working didnt seem to care/notice i was there. i figured i would just buy my stuff from walmart or something considering its half as cheap and you get pretty much the same service apparently. overall it was meh, cool layout but bad service. very very very expensive. not worth it. read more
