They are always able to help me out with running or walking shoes. It is a little deceiving that they have more colors of shoes in the back than what is displayed on the wall. So if you find a style you like and you don't like the color, just ask if they have other colors they will bring out all of them in your size. They have a great computer sizing system to find out your size and whether you need inserts. On one of my recent trips I discovered that I was an 11 1/2 and not an 11. This changed my life. I am phasing out all my size 11 shoes and buying 11 1/2's. The shoes are sold at manufacturers retail price. There are some shoes that go on sale, but it doesn't seem like many. They have a good reward system, but not great. Most of the employees are very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions you have. I came in know what pairs of ON and Hokas I wanted. Once I went to ask for my sizes the older lady working had a meltdown because I didn't have a "appointment ". And told me it would be about a hour wait. To buy shoes. Great experience looking for a work shoe that would suffice and work for my 12-hour shifts. The service was awesome.

I'm an RN who just returned to work after being off my feet for 3 months recuperating from a fractured ankle (surgery) and knee (healing by being non-weightbearing for many weeks). Starting to walk again is very painful after being on my feet for 4+ hours. A friend recommended I pay a visit to Fleet Feet. I visited today, a Saturday, mid-morning and was greeted by Brett. He analyzed my feet and my gait and I tried on 3 different brands of shoes that addressed the need for support as well as heel cushioning. He also suggested shoe inserts. Went in for the first time today. I think it's OK if you're a regular. I was not greeted which was fine. I had to ask for help. A young girl assisted me. She was nice but I felt like I was a bother. I actually had to ask her to measure my feet. Seems like this place is very cliquey. Shoes are way too expensive for me to be treated like an outsider. I'm not going to lie, I'm a chunky girl and have a large chest. I'm working on the chunkiness! I have been jogging and lost 50lbs to get me to my current state. I needed a sports bra badly! I always hate going into these kinds of stores because people look at you funny if you are fat. Which I don't get because you are trying to lose weight! You are in a place geared for exercise not the Hostess cupcake aisle!! This place is great!! Not only were they very nice and helpful, they also had a sports bra that was large enough for 'the girls'. The lady that helped me was very encouraging!! Hands down the best place to buy running shoes, clothes and nutrition! Walked in to buy my Asics like I have been buying online for a couple of years. The sales girl explained that she could get those for me or I could go through their fit process to make sure I was in the right shoe. Thirty minutes later, I learned that not only was I in the wrong size, but also I could use an insole to align my feet better. I have NEVER been this comfortable in a pair of running shoes! Awful service levels. I walked into the store no greeting until about a min later. It was not even a proper greeting. Hi how are you today. No someone will be with you in a moment. After about 6 min wait a lady comes out can I help you? I said yes and six minutes ago helping me would have been a lot better! She goes sorry I was having a meeting with the owner and? Why do I care? The owner should care about making money not running his mouth! I will be back but your service levels need to be improved big time! read more

Great store and staff, they have helped me train for the Chicago Marathon next month. They are always very accommodating and patient with me when I ask a million questions and try a ton of different products out. They're very knowledgeable in their products but If someone doesn't know they ask another staff member for their take. Even when I had an issue with a pair of new month old shoes they exchanged them no questions asked, this place is the best!! read more

So I have wanted to up my athletic shoe game for awhile, so I asked around for recommendations. A few people recommended Fleet Feet. They know so much. They analyze your gait. They observe you walk/run and make recommendations. Well, here is my experience. As soon as they find out that you are in there for shoes, they escort you to this machine which "scans" your feet. You have to take off your shoes and socks! Yuck! I played along for the benefit of my wife. The rep then gets a print out of your feet and spends about 30 seconds going over the results which he told me nothing out of the ordinary with my feet which was not true after I reviewed them later. From there he starts bringing out shoes for me to try on with no rhyme or reason. What happened to watching me walk or run? Nope. Here's another thing, you would think with the name of Fleet Feet they would have an extensive array of shoes. You would be wrong. They have maybe 20 men's shoes to chose from and the rest of the store is full of socks. No joke. Maybe I am missing something since I am not a runner. You can do better. read more

I stopped in because when I looked up Nathan water bottle retailers, Nathan's website said they had them. Boy, am I glad I stopped in! They have all sorts of colors for my favorite water bottle that I haven't seen online and the employees were so nice. The guy that greeted me was especially nice! Love the selection of shoes and running attire. The helpful staff make it a no brainer- you try on shoes, they make sure they are right for you! The different seminar's that they offer is just a great added bonus. Love that they also host free fun runs! (last year, for me, fun and run wouldn't be in the same sentence) read more

Walked in on a Sat., place full of customers. No hello, welcome, not a word. We watched while standing in a line maybe 25-30 mins. to get serviced, but not one salesperson said a word. I couldn't be happier with the service I received here at FFS. Being the only running store in the region, the day I walked in, it was completely packed. There was a sign in board at the front for people who needed to get "fitted" for shoes. I asked one of the people why it was so crowded and they told me it was usually like this here on Saturdays due to all of the running programs that the store offers for any level of runner. They had food and drinks for people who were running as well, which I thought was super. When it was my turn to be fit for shoes, the guy who fit me knew exactly what they were talking about and what I needed. I was greatly impressed! I have told many friends to stop in the store and give it a shot and they all agreed that once your fit for shoes, they wouldn't go anywhere else. Great job and keep up the great work! read more
