It seems this place has some poor reviews from people who had a bad experience online, but by going in the store I had the complete opposite experience. My visit was short, considering I knew I wanted an as authentic as it gets Bedard sweater. The person who helped me was knowledgeable and passionate about the product. They claim that they send the sweaters directly to the official Blackhawks stitching company as well, something you won't find with fanatics or other brands. There was about 30 little jumping bugs all over the hat!!! My boyfriend instantly threw the hat in the garbage. He calls the store to ask for a refund or another hat and the store tells him "unless you send us the hat back we cant send you another one or a refund". I came in here on Small Business Saturday to find a Bears shirt/ jacket for a game I was going to the next day. They had a fairly good assortment, but too much of the same style (WHY are all women's bears shirts v-neck?!). Here is my update. I had the opportunity to speak with Dan V. ( owner of the store and great guy btw) and he explained the situation to me. The reason to update the rating from 1 star to 4 stars is not the product itself but the service. I strongly believe that customer service is what matters and Dan did everything possible to fix the situation. He show great commitment and pride not only with his store but with the customers. He gave me multiple options to select from and all the time he kept a great attitude. In the end I am not giving them 5 stars because the whole misunderstanding but I surely will give them another chance and will stop by to purchase the Championship shirt! ;) In baseball like in life, sometimes you dropped the ball but the important thing is to come strong in the end and win the game. Back in the day (well not that long ago) I even ordered a Nomah jersey before it was officially announced that he was a Cub (what a waste of money now that I think of it!!). Personalized one and the other was a Crawford one. Fairly priced if I say so myself. Their hat selection is the best I've seen. Way better than LIDS. They have majority of collegiate hats and all the sports teams you can name. Love their Blackhawks and Cubbies hat selection. Pretty cool styles too. They also have some other sports memorabilia. The prices are up there , but all that stuff is pricey wherever I see them , nothing specific to them. Ordered a Baez Jersey and Cubs playoff shirt online. Called to confirm if items were ready or would I receive some confirmation when it was ready. Was told Jersey was ready, but shirts were sold out would take a day or two. Was also told that yes I would have received a confirmation email when items were ready (my only complaint think that should be stated when ordering as was kind of confusing). Then asked if I would be able to pick up the jersey since that was ready and come again once the shirt was in. They replied yes no problem. Upon arrival stated I placed an online order and wanted to pick up the jersey but understood the shirts were sold out. They looked throughout the store and unfortunately my jersey was not ready and that I had not been sent a confirmation emailed. I explained my previous call and they got to work right away on prepping my jersey. Fortunately for me a shipment of shirts arrived and I was able to get my full order without a return trip. Decided to buy another shirt with my shirt wait too. Place has an amazing selection and a great staff. I've been in here a few times and I can say that customer service is not a strong point for this store. Some of the employees are just rude when you ask them a question. It comes across as if you are bothering them, but last I checked, you're working in retail. So customer interaction is to be expected. The items and overall selection they have is nice, but if I can get the item I want elsewhere, then I'm going to go there instead. Some of the employees here need to go, or be retrained on how to maintain a positive attitude while helping a customer. I mean, even calling the place feels uncomfortable, at this point.
