We all have a family vacation coming up next week and she needs comfortable shoes to go out and about Washington. She told me she had been having problems finding somewhere that sells sneakers in her size....she has wide feet. And, I know that is a problem for even the men side of my family has....most shoe stores have a small, barely existent selection of shoes for men with wide feet. But she said she has not been able to find even when she went to one of the few lady foot lockers in south Florida (closest one is Doral). I was very surprised. So I said let's just go to get the regular foot locker and see what we can find. We were immediately greeted at the door by two employees, who quickly went to assist us. Store is small, but clean and orderly. I interestingly noted that the men's section of the store dwarfed both the women's and children's section. The ratio was 50% men, 25% Women, 25% kids. They attempted to find shoes for her but were stymied by the limited selection. They only found a few shoes in her length...none in her width. She tried putting them on and she could barely get them in and they according to her were painful. We asked if we could place an order and they said they couldn't order shoes in her size. Well that's not fair. Heck I've ordered shoes in wide feet in the past at Footlocker. When did this change? Footlocker needs to increase its selection of shoes for those who don't have normal sized feet. At the very least they should be able to order shoes for those that don't. Is the service good here...yes. Is the store nice....yes....but if we can't buy your shoes...what the point?

Fast forward to my visit, it was a wonderful experience. Let's start with the store; upon entering, you are immediately welcomed. Although the store isn't full of employees, I found everyone working here friendly and eager to help. Although it's an outlet store, the store is well organized by size and extremely tidy. All boxes are open and easy to view as you walk up and down the aisles. There are plenty of spots to sit and try on your shoes along with signs showing you the correct size conversion. One thing to keep in mind is Converse sneakers run big. The can run from a half size on average to an occasional full size. Converse also make female shoes, but all their shoes are unisex, so take a look at all of them. Trust me! Now for the best thing about this Converse store, everything is usually 40 to 50 percent off the lowest price. I have actually walked out with shoes for 15 dollars. Considering these shoes retail at about 60 dollars, that is a bargain! In summary, if you love Converse, don't hesitate visiting this store. This outlet is compact, plenty of parking and easy to find at the end of the Turnpike. I've visited twice in two weeks and no doubt, I'll be back.

My daughter looked around and found a pair she liked. The very nice lady that was attending the store advised us that they have a foot analyzer that would help on determining what would be the best shoe for the feet. She advise that I buy the shoes with her the analysis is included, otherwise there is a fee. We advised her that we were going to buy a pair, so she went ahead and walked with my daughter to the machine. Very cool how it takes a 3D image of the feet and allows you to see where you need more support. Ironically the shoe she had selected was the right fit. Daughter loves the shoes and feels a her feet feel a lot better support them before.

The repairman greeted me right away and explained that he could replace the soles with something more durable. The process was thorough and expertly good. They look amazing! The new soles were sturdy and had a great grip. The boots felt as good as new, and the price was very reasonable for the quality of work.

Interesting to note that the local LV and GUCCI stores actually refer their customers to Jorge and Javier as they can bring many of those high end purses back to life for you. I was greeted inside and asked was I looking for anything in particular. I said yes running shoes for my daughter and I. I explained when my daughter runs her knees and back hurt. He took a look at the current running shoes when had on. Had us do several test and run on the treadmill. After the evaluation he suggested I get the Hoka and she gets the Saucony. My daughter loved her shoes! Her back and knees wasn't hurting any more when we run. I loved the Hoka in the store but when I ran outside it was too heavy after 2miles. Because of it feeling to heavy I decided to use it for station exercises non cardio related. I do still buy both brands for us. Every one to two years. The shoes I brought are expensive. It was $150.00 for each pair. I'm not sure of the other prices for all shoes there. That was the ones I got. If you're looking for expert shoe advice this is the place to go.
