The ambiance is about half of what this place is all about. It's very Trader Sam's, including a lot of neat Disney memorabilia on the shelves on the walls behind the bar. Dark and stormy tiki bar vibes. The service was super friendly, and the food and bev came out very timely. The drinks were great, and they had a really nice mocktail menu. You can come and enjoy a nice drink without getting alcohol. We also ordered a burger from their limited food menu. It was very good. Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. Overall, this place was very cool, and if you haven't come here yet, you need to.

The guy was present, but not overly present. The drinks and the food were very timely. The burger we had was very nice, and I love a good crinkle cut fry. Cons: I tried a drink that wasn't supposed to be too sweet, but it was just too sweet for me. And a significant portion of the menu seems to be sweet drinks. Very tiki bar. Tips: Certainly a preference thing. I'm not gonna knock them, but if you're not a sweet drink kind of person, good luck here.

She explained everything to us, which was good, because they don't have a website. The owners are from NY, which surprised me, because the place has a Miami Latin Vibe. I love that and it's something different in Sanford. They have different things going on different days: Sunday is brunch with regular and breakfast pizzas. Monday- Tuesdays they are closed. Wednesdays they have Wine Down Wednesdays. Thursday is R & B night. Friday and Saturday are their busiest nights with a DJ. They do take reservations for their VIP areas lounge areas outside for a fee. They are hoping to get the outside area covered. Ok let's talk about their pizza... I was expecting more NY Style, but this was a small scale kind of NY style pizza. They offer 12" pizza which was great for sharing for 2 people. Hubby and I had the meatball ricotta pizza. It was very good! We also had their handmade drinks. I had a passion fruit mojito and hubby had an old fashioned. They were both very tasty. I should mention they stay open till 2pm. That almost seems rare these days. So enjoy!

He was nice but appeared to need more training to be up to par for the price point. The decor was nice inside but the location does not give a good first impression and cheapens the experience. It is located in an older shopping plaza and is unkept. I think they are trying for a speakeasy vibe but it isn't being pulled off. The second time we went, we made a reservation to listen to their live music with some appetizers and a cocktail. It was spontaneous as we found ourselves child-free for the night at the last minute. Upon arrival we were told that 'we have a dress code and shorts are not allowed.' Mind you, the dress code says 'no gym shorts' and we didn't have on gym shorts or athletic wear. We weren't dressed up but were wearing decent outfits and nice shoes (no sandals of any kind). Needless to say, there will not be a third visit. Do not recommend.

But there is a cute neon sign that's lit and says "yes this is the place". Pretty funny. So first things first: the location is weird. However the atmosphere and decor inside is very well done. You open the door and are immediately greeted by the host/hostess. It's dark and moody. You turn to the right and suddenly you are in a very swanky environment. You forget where you parked in no time. The drinks: bottle of Tapestry, bees knees with tequila since they ran out of gin. They also ran out of St. Germaine liquor son only two rounds of putting on the fits, the fireside cinnamon sip, an old fashion and a espresso martini. They were all deliciously hand crafted and made to order.. The food: we were a group of 6 ladies and we ordered the Georgia peach salad, the tomato bisque (soup of the day) homemade bread (supposed to be focaccia but was actually French bread), salmon, cheese wheel pasta with shrimp, lobster linguine (I believe), filet and the cheese wheel with filet. For dessert: some molten chocolate (which burned my finger to no one's fault by my own as they did warn me) and the apple pie. The standouts: Georgia peach salad and tomato bisque, salmon & the cheese wheel pasta. As well as both desserts. Additional note: the service was great. The attention to detail to accommodate our coats and purses was thoughtful The cons: who charges $3 for a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese ? The chef is Italian and didn't think that the lobster one should have cheese on it. That's strange. Was it worth the hefty price tag - probably not Would I go again? Maybe for their happy hour but probably not for dinner.

I highly recommend requesting her if you dine in. The chips and salsa were good and we appreciate the three salsa options provided and plenty of chips to go around. I decided on the steak and chicken fajita's ($25) and a double Margarita ($9.50). Our food arrived in about 15 minutes, my fajitas came out sizzling just the way I like them, good job! The fajitas come with sides and you receive a good amount of food, no skimping. I was also able to sample one of their Quesada's, which was delicious. Vienna was kind enough to bring over some fresh Churro's and dipping sauce for the birthday song, and there was enough for everyone in our group to try, which was really nice. The Churro's were fresh, hot, had a great crunchy exterior, and perfect blend of seasoning. The restaurant is not really big so it can get crowded during peak times. It is beautiful inside and could make for a nice date night with the wife next time she wants something special. Pricing is a bit high when compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. I was completely satisfied with my meal and experience but know that you can find more affordable options if you are looking to save some $$$$. All-in-all, great experience, and I would recommend them.

The hostess, Tamia, was in the process of cleaning it but still took a moment to acknowledge us and let us know she would be right with us, which I appreciated. While we waited, more parties came in and the line quickly grew toward the door. There were other staff members nearby, but no one stepped in to help seat guests or manage the wait, which made things move slower than expected. Once we were seated, it took a while for our waiter to come to the table. The hostess actually came back to check on us and ask if we had been helped yet, which stood out. When our waiter did arrive, the first thing he mentioned was that last call would be soon since they close at 10. We had arrived around 9, so we went ahead and ordered both drinks and food at the same time. Service throughout the meal was slow. We ordered the trio for the table, and I got the puffy tacos, one beef and one chicken, with black beans and rice. My son ordered a chicken quesadilla, and another person in our party ordered street corn, birria tacos, and a passionfruit margarita. It took a while for the food to come out, and when it did, we didn't have any silverware. Our waiter didn't come back for a while, so we had to flag someone down just to be able to start eating. The trio was the highlight of the meal. The guacamole, salsa, and queso were all really good and definitely something I would order again. The rest of the food was just okay. The chicken taco lacked seasoning, while the beef taco was a bit over seasoned for my taste. The beans had an unusual flavor, and the rice tasted like it had been sitting for a while, which may have been due to the late hour. My son said the quesadilla was good. The birria tacos had a decent amount of meat, but the flavor was closer to roast beef than what you would expect from traditional birria. The passionfruit margarita was just okay and wasn't filled all the way to the top, which was noticeable. For the price, the overall experience didn't quite match the quality of the food and service. Between the slow service and inconsistent dishes, I would likely not return for a full meal. However, I would consider stopping by for takeout of the trio since that was the standout. Nice dive bar…read more Surprisingly empty when we strolled in on a Fri night around 11pm. Sanford nightlife seems to have not yet fully recovered from the 'stay home' plague of 2020. Bartender was very pleasant. $6 bottle beer. She mentioned in passing she's closing at 2am. No food. But touch tunes is always welcome entertainment. As we were leaving about midnight, the place had suddenly filled to half capacity. Pleasant bartender; pleasant clientele; pleasant music; comfortable bar seats means we'll go back. Nice dive bar.

This bar definitely met SJ. It's the first bar I've been to that doesn't serve food- nothing but drinks, so what do you expect?! Marcus and I walked in and knew we would order an appetizer and a drink each and leave, but remember they don't serve food, so we got drinks. I opted for the lemon drop as a drink while Marcus got the blue Long Island- both very strong and delicious. Jazz the bartender was great at concealing the alcohol flavor. She was extremely pleasant and upbeat, too! After the first drink, a pair of siblings who happened to be the only other two customers at the bar ordered Marcus and I a drink, so we did a round together. At this point, we're two drinks in, the music is going and the conversation is flowing- who are we not to return the favor and order another round? Boom! Another round! The rounds are going, the music is right, and we're dancing. In comes an older group, we order drinks together and now we're all dancing! It's about ten of us at this point aged 21-65 of all different backgrounds buying rounds, drinking and dancing. Uh oh SJ does a split and the party has just turnt up a notch...you had to be there! Did I mention it was a clean and played a variety of music because that's true as well! Great bar! Highly recommend lol.
