My daughter is a very caring girl. She just loved Dr. Cothran and she always looked forward to seeing Dr. Cothran for her cleanings. A few months ago we paid Dr. Cothran over $500. On my daughter's last visit, for a cleaning, they acted very unfriendly and hateful! We almost left,but my daughter had her heart set on seeing Dr. Cothran. My daughter even asked her to come to her birthday party. At the end of the visit, she charged her $170, for just a cleaning, because we lost our insurance. We couldn't pay that day. We have had several billing confusions since then, and the most recent one the dentist visit was last June. My son had about $1000 of work done on top of his routine visit that was needed. Our portion was nearly $500. You have to have arrangements before you even leave the office after the treatment is given. They don't even let you out the door without settling up - obviously. Well come six months later when my three children get a cleaning , I am told by the receptionist that I have a $500 unpaid balance that I need to take care of. I explained to her that she is misinformed and there is been a mixup, she was not helpful at all . When it came time to file that day services with the insurance that was done incorrectly also, and they billed the wrong insurance again! We received several collections notices from the dentist office that we owe about $1500. When we have insurance! It is nearly a year later and we are still getting things in the mail from the insurance company, & the dentist. Most recent insurance paper states my daughter was seen by a Dr. I have never heard of & we have never even seen! Our last visit I was told that my son needs pre-orthondonic mouthpiece to wear at night. I asked how much it is & if insurance covers any of it. HA!! You think I ever heard back from them? Nope. Months later, more collections notices, finally got final word from insurance company that too much time has passed & they are refusing to pay for their portion. NICE. The…read morefirst visit I was given white fillings which is what I wanted, this was on the right side of my mouth the only complaint this time was that she busted the fillings a few times and had to redo them and she cut my lip severly, the second visit I was given gold fillins on the left side of my mouth which if I had been informed that this is what they were suppose to have given me for my work to pay, I would have paid for it on my own considering I had two very good insurance plans, and once again she cut my mouth, and this time she busted a polishing tool in my mouth. During the procedure she was gossiping about her neighbors which I found unproffessional even while I was on laughing gas. When I called to discuss the filling her assistant lied and said she had told me before they started that they were going to use gold. The assistant who said this wasn't even the assistant who helped me on the second visit. I have seen dentists since and have to get everything redone because the fillings all have wholes in them. My new dentist said he usually would never comment on another dentists work but that it was done very poorly. Will never go back to this dentist, and I would not refer her to a friend.

It has been a few months since my initial review and while I was hoping to update the review with…read moremore positive feedback, unfortunately, it has gotten worse and whole situation is a "mess" at best. After posting the first review, I was contacted and they committed to making everything right. That was great, but short-lived. Within the past two months, the staff at this location has totally turned over (doesn't say much for the company overall) and replaced by a staff, headed by Nathan, who will NOT stand behind their product nor the promises made to my mother by the former staff to make sure she has a pair of dentures that fit her mouth correctly and are fully functional. Nathan accused my mother of dropping her dentures because they developed a crack. They still don't fit. They forced her to pay $95 above what she has already paid for what they call a "temporary" solution. If she wants a long term solution for the fit issue, she will have to pay an additional $125. This is nothing but greed and abuse of an elderly patient who can barely make ends meet as it is. On top of that, she can't eat properly, she's discouraged and gives-up which only contributes to her BP problems and other health issues. When confronted about working with my Mother to ensure she is satisfied, they refused any further work and that's on the top teeth. The bottom are worse and they said they will do nothing on the bottom. The teeth are crap. They don't work. Their blaming her for the issues. They have been issued a notice of legal action if they don't take the steps to make things right and stick with her until it is done. In addition, a social campaign is being mounted against them and their corporate company for their business practices and taking advantage of the elderly. They will be held accountable. I recently went to have a crown procedure done by Dr. Coles & his assistant. After Dr. Coles put…read morethe crown on, his asst. was trying to floss in between the tooth that had just been crowned. Apparently she waited to long before doing the floss & the crown had already set. She tried for what felt like 15-20 minutes. She made the made the Dr. aware and he tried to do the floss. He ended up trying to floss in between & when it didn't work, he proceeded to remove the crown so to do the flossing. he did this for a considerable amount of time. It felt like he was trying to remove my tooth. Dr Coles called & left messages with concerns about if I was in pain. I had tooth pains & called the office a day later to complain about how my tooth hurt, my bite was off, there were sharp edges on my teeth that were cutting my tongue & how it hurt to chew on the side of my mouth where the procedure had been done. I was told to come back. When I returned Dr.Coles proceeded to tell me that I didn't hear he & his asst. discussing her mistake. He then attempted to fix the issues & told me "that no dentist would ever tell you this but do not floss in between that tooth" & " to let it set". I then receive a bill in the mail for $300.00. HE CHARGED ME FOR HIS MISTAKE!! I would NOT recommend them

I was totally amazed; it was literally paid free. The healing process was painless and quick. Definitely will make my next visit easier knowing that my new Dentist will take care of me and help ease my fears. Wonderful experience considering my molar condition.

Just to clarify my previous review somewhat…read more So my insurance company reimbursed 104th Dental for each of three procedures and let me know that my out of pocket costs should have been $75 per visit. 104th charged me $189 for each procedure, which I paid at the time of the visit. When my insurance invoices caught up with me, I left a message with 104th to question the disparity, i.e. why they charged me an additional $114 per treatment. I received no answer, no call back and a follow up email also garnered no response. And it's really touching their business office would like to discuss this with me now after I've gone public when they had several opportunities to discuss this previously and choose to ignore me. I'll pass as I've moved on to a much better dentist with fair pricing.
