We tried to go visit the facility and a security gate at the entrance kept us from going further than the gate. The security guard took my name and number and I received a call from an official. Previously I had gotten thru and put my dad on a waiting list in September. He no longer needs their care so I asked that he be removed. There are no vacancies and there are no anticipated vacancies they know of. Patients currently living there who have family members needing care will help their family members get housing first. If no patient family members require one of the vacancies when they open, then the next name on the public waiting list is called. The lady I spoke with told me in the 14 months she had been an employee there wasn't a vacancy filled by a person on the waiting list. We will keep searching. They get 4 stars for their security and the fact that someone called me after I spoke with the security guard.

They delight in getting her ready for a joyride (thanks Serea), and the staff are so engaged with mom they can't wait to tell my family and me what she's been up to (both good and bad). I have one of their fabulous nurses on text message and can get any information I need about Mom in an instant. They are so responsive and so loving. I highly recommend Grandview Gardens for your loved one's memory care needs and Redstone Village for assisted living. Some advice: be present if possible and be active in your loved one's care this goes a long way. Both Redstone Village proper and Grandview Gardens have kept mom happy and healthy for around 7 years! This facility is clean and updated and full of activities but If your loved one doesn't want to participate, they willingly go the extra mile to ensure their needs are met, for example, making sandwiches for mom who slept through dinner and didn't eat. This is the type of facility you do not dread visiting. Please consider Redstone Village. It is an entire life span facility from freestanding homes where you have a beautiful view and can drive your car or golf cart to dining or exercise or swimming facilities to assisted living again with beautiful views, to memory care with ample activities, including day trips to local strawberry picking and restaurants to hospice. Redstone Village is the real deal and my family and I are so grateful Mom is enjoying her 88th year on the planet here. My family have visited other facilities in Madison county and mom lived in one for about a year. Redstone Village eclipses all of them in terms of compassionate care, consistent rule following and generally loving what they do. Almost no personnel turnover. We went to the back dining room which was clean and spacious and wanted to sit on the screened in porch overlooking the neighboring barns with goats and a horse or two. Like all memory care facilities everything is locked and we couldn't get anyone to let us out on the screened in porch. We didn't try very hard though. There were no activities going on on this Sunday afternoon. Dear friends nails were painted and it looked professional! That's a nice touch! Every inch of the facility is spotless even the gender neutral restrooms. The staff still don't wear uniforms or name tags and there is no sign in sheet at the lobby. The adjacent barn/farm area has what I thought would be a lake and it isn't. This is a nice memory care ladies only facility in Madison!

We entered into a contract with HomeCare Assistance on November 7, 2025. My 80-year-old mother is…read moreterminally ill and my 81-year-old father and my family needed some assistance. We felt good about Tommy Anderson during his home visit and signed a contract to begin care on Monday, November 10, 2025. During our home visit with Tommy, it was emphasized several times about their extensive background checks of their caregivers and the contract even went further to say that they evaluated caregivers in other ways, such as psychological testing. The very first night, a caregiver came into our home, whom we liked immediately, but we discovered that she stole four diamond rings from my mother and my father's University of Alabama A club ring. We filed a police report and after 48 hours of me pleading and appealing to this caregiver, she returned the rings to me at my home. When we discovered that the rings were missing, we immediately did a simple Google search and found two mug shots of this caregiver and the police told us she had ten or more prior arrests, and that this company had dropped the ball. She had arrests as far back as 2021 until recent. I was told by Tommy and another employee that they did not understand why those did not show up on their background check. What an insult to my intelligence. Please beware of Home Care Assistance, because they obviously did not vet this employee at all.
