I finally got a job in NYC, so I had to move to Jersey City. Being new to the area, I didn't have any idea of the movers in the Philly area. After doing some checking on yelp and google reviews, I came across Albo moving. Their reviews were really good, and they were close to my parent's house where I was living at the time. I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. I could not be more grateful to Alex and his team for the excellent job, and I would definitely hire them again for my next move. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for hard working, honest, reliable and dependable movers

Our furniture was wrapped in moving blankets before it left the house to go out to the truck. They had more blankets on the truck to pad everything for the trip. They were on time and they had tools to help take apart things that needed taking apart. The truck had a hydraulic lift on the back. We have one more move, and we will call Karson's again. They even came out to our house to give us an estimate.

And moving is the last thing you're likely to hear anyone say when talking about favorite things to do. AND, you can only ask your friends so many times to help you schlep your stuff from one place to the next and pay them with beer and pizza. That's where professional movers come in and if you're lucky enough to find the right movers, they are worth every penny and then some. Enter Karson's Movers. BACKGROUND: I coordinated moving my grandmother-in-law's belongings from PA to NC. Due to the distance, we needed movers who were willing and able to provide a FULL SERVICE move including packing, transporting, and unpacking. I obtained 3 quotes and Karson's came it the lowest. Now, with movers, the least expensive isn't always the best, but after talking with Karson on the phone, I just had a feeling that he was going to take good care of us. So, considering this and all the positive YELP reviews, I took the plunge and chose Karson's with fingers crossed and bated breath. COMMUNICATION: Karson made the entire process easy, from the initial contact and estimate to communicating all the relevant details of the move. The estimate was clear, and when I had a questions, he addressed them promptly and clearly. The estimate was "non-binding" which in moving parlance means "not fixed." That is, the final amount can change based on unplanned or unforeseen circumstances. This is where sketchy movers can stick you by tacking on exorbitant extra fees when you're most vulnerable...i.e. when YOUR stuff is in THEIR truck. Karson's estimate, however, was extremely close to what we ended up paying with no surprise or unexpected charges. Furthermore, while I don't make a regular practice of interstate moving, the price we paid seemed more than reasonable for the high quality of service we received. THE MOVE: (Disclaimer: Since I'm in NC, I was NOT in PA to meet with the movers when they arrived to pack grandma's belongings. I was only on the receiving end in NC. However, I'm told by the folks who met with them in PA that they were great to work with.) The truck arrived in NC well within the time window Karson estimated. Our situation was unique in that 3 stops were required to unload all the belongings. All items were packed in the truck in reverse order making it very easy and efficient to unload everything at the respective destinations. All this occurred without a hitch. THE PACKING: Karson's deployed two men to conduct the move who took great care in packing all of grandma's belongings. While mostly consisting of large furniture pieces, most of the furniture was antique, with some pieces well over 100 years old. Each piece was meticulously wrapped in blankets and plastic wrap. Any furniture that had to be disassembled was reassembled upon arrival by the movers. There were also many pieces of small and valuable china, and each piece -- this bears repeating -- EACH PIECE, no matter the size, was individually wrapped in packing paper and packed like a giant puzzle in boxes. Not one piece broke. All arrived in pristine condition. They may have gone a little overboard on the amount of paper used, but better this than broken china! CONCLUSION: Karson's did right by us. They instilled confidence that there are reputable and honest movers out there. I cannot recommend them highly enough for any kind of move you need, be it local or interstate.

John and Tommy were his movers and they did an amazing job. They wrapped his furniture beautifully (it was raining on and off that morning) and they took great care with moving his items through a narrow staircase on the way out. Luckily, the move into his new place was less labor intensive! The price quote was fair, and they arrived on time. They made this situation very comfortable and smooth for my dad. They put him at ease and ensured that he was happy with the placement of his furniture in his new digs. I also learned that College Hunks Hauling Junk has a warehouse of unwanted furniture that is up for the taking. I absolutely love that they try to find a home for extra items rather than bringing them to the dump. This helps our environment SO MUCH. I honestly cannot praise John and Tommy enough! It was such a pleasure to meet them. Thanks for taking good care of my dad!

We used this business for a whole house move a couple months ago…read more They were somewhat reckless with our belongings. Many boxes were ripped , some pieces of furniture/bulky items were damaged or broken. And one of the door frames of the new home had a large chunk of wood taken out , i imagine from a piece of furniture moving in. We had boxes clearly labeled with what room to be placed in, and many ended up in the wrong rooms. Same applied to the furniture. I appreciated them being able to move a piano (extra cost, but still! Not everyone does it.) and I appreciated them being able to accommodate the moving time shift, however the price significantly jumped from the initial estimate when we had pushed the time from late morning to afternoon. They started off as the cheapest estimate we got, out of 5 estimates, but ended up being the second highest cost. We would have booked with a more reputable company if I had known the price would jump so high. (It was a few thousand dollar jump.)

When I finally went to move my things from their unit to a different one, my boxes were just tossed in what looked like a junk heap with ZERO care and I found out I was being ridiculously overcharged for literally a square spot in a garage. As my family and I were moving my items from their unit warehouse to our own truck we rented because the owner was going to charge us too much money for his employees to do it, EVERY BOX or piece we moved had broken, missing or damaged sections/items. the owner watched us as we took each box literally blaming us because we "touched it". the owner of this company is FOUL and nothing I owned was packed with care. I'm now finally unpacking, and I have THOUSANDS of dollars of damaged and missing items. I will one hundred percent be reporting them to the BBB and I hope they get stripped of all of their awards. THIS IS ADDED AFTER THE COMMENT FROM THE OWNER- MASSIMO- you are an absolute jerk I still have threatening and disgusting text messages from you after I called to say things were damaged. LITERALLY AT THE FACILITY YOU SAW ME TAKE ONE BOX AT A TIME and saw my face as I heard broken contents and you did NOTHING. I did not pack my boxes on moving day your team did and they did it TERRIBLY I even bought them lunch and tipped. Your team threw things in boxes and unloaded into a literal heap of a mess in your garage. And then you charge $300-500 a month for nothing. PUBLIC PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY A GREEDY MAN WHO TREATS CUSTOMERS WITH DISRESPECT. I hope the public does understand your company is a disgrace and I will send ANYONE who asks to see pictures and the bill and messages what I have. Massimo you are the biggest liar ever.
