Emails were responded to quickly, but I did not have luck connecting via phone or leaving a voice mail with Alex. I was a little worried that maybe I was making the wrong a mistake after being bombarded by calls and emails from other Yelp moving vendors, but I know it was the right choice! The job estimate was 5-6 hours based on the my inventory and the job finished in 5. Eugene called the night before with an estimated start time, sent a text the morning of with a 30 minute warning, and arrived on time. My crew consisted on Eugene, Serge & Nazar. I did a walk through with Eugene upon arrival of the rooms and items that would be moved and to where at the new location. Upon arrival at my new home, we again walked through to ensure the team understood the labeling on the boxes and home layout. When in doubt, the team asked instead of just dumping boxes in the wrong place. Prior to leaving Eugene asked if I wanted anything moved to different rooms,and straightened out my area rug after the furniture was already placed on it. They carefully wrapped furniture and mattresses with their supplies at no additional charge prior to moving, and removed the wrap and trash from the new home. Bonus: Nothing broken, damaged or lost! These guys were polite, professional, and very easy to work with. I highly recommend and would hire them again.

John and Tommy were his movers and they did an amazing job. They wrapped his furniture beautifully (it was raining on and off that morning) and they took great care with moving his items through a narrow staircase on the way out. Luckily, the move into his new place was less labor intensive! The price quote was fair, and they arrived on time. They made this situation very comfortable and smooth for my dad. They put him at ease and ensured that he was happy with the placement of his furniture in his new digs. I also learned that College Hunks Hauling Junk has a warehouse of unwanted furniture that is up for the taking. Many boxes were ripped , some pieces of furniture/bulky items were damaged or broken. And one of the door frames of the new home had a large chunk of wood taken out , i imagine from a piece of furniture moving in. We had boxes clearly labeled with what room to be placed in, and many ended up in the wrong rooms. Same applied to the furniture. I appreciated them being able to move a piano (extra cost, but still! Not everyone does it.) and I appreciated them being able to accommodate the moving time shift, however the price significantly jumped from the initial estimate when we had pushed the time from late morning to afternoon. They started off as the cheapest estimate we got, out of 5 estimates, but ended up being the second highest cost. We would have booked with a more reputable company if I had known the price would jump so high. (It was a few thousand dollar jump.)

When they arrived at the new home one of the movers lovingly insisted I stopped helping bc I am 9months pregnant and joked with me about how hard it must be to not be able to really help. They were great with my almost five year old who of course was obsessed with the truck and just the new faces and all of our family there complimented on their professionalism. We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense
