Continuation of piece- Done! Worked with Chrissy to coverup some bulky leaves and added some beautiful fuschias from my mom's garden, tulips, hummingbird, and ladybug. Part 2 was done in 2 different sessions approx 2 1/2 hours each with line work in first session and the addition of color in the second session. Again Chrissy was fantastic- professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. The new shop isn't much further from its previous location. Chrissy has a large space with curtains in the back of the shop away from the door, so felt more private and comfortable. Thank you! Highly recommend. read more

She was great about giving suggestions and drew all over me with her colored markers which helped give me a visual and be able to make a better decision. I have been getting tattooed by David "Butter" De La O since 2010. I've sat for a couple hundreds of hours of "ink therapy" since we met. Now I have to travel to get my sessions in. Yesterday I flew in from Colorado and today I'm at Flesh Electric Tattoo spending time with one of my favorite men on earth. David has been more like family to me than a lot of my actual family. There are very few people I can sit with for 8-12 hours at a time. Truly a great artist and beautiful soul. I'm really impressed with the shop and the staff. So, I'm 71 and got my first Tattoo and thought I'd treat my Granddaughter, 19, to one, as well. They were simple Tattoos. I wanted "Family" in Greek and she wanted "Miracle", also in Greek. When she was 10, she suffered a ruptured Arterio Venous Malformation (similar to aneurysm) while doing gymnastics. She was airlifted to University Hospital, whose fantastic staff, miraculously saved her life. But I digress. Back to the review. I really liked all the staff at Flesh Electric Tattoo. They are courteous, very patient and real. Carlos and David were our artists. While our tattoos were not elaborate, they were very deliberate and advised my granddaughter to alter her choice to one word, instead of marrying two. The business decorum itself is funky, eclectic cool. Oh, BTW, neither of us experienced pain. Finally, the staff was clear regarding care of the tattoo for the next two weeks, even providing written instructions. I highly recommend this Tattoo establishment. read more

I had work done by Lex on Friday night. I have never experienced a gentler touch with the needle. Three days later and mostly healed. The artwork is exquisite. The shop manager is super friendly and checked in with me during my session. Having been in the military and having gotten tats in 5 states, I have to say the price is crazy low. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I had a face to face consultation with Jake 2 months in advance and was assured by him that he would be able to create the design I wanted for my cover up I had waited so long to get. My appointment was scheduled a few months out due to his schedule, but I sent in photos of my current tattoo, as well as pictures of what I wanted a month in advance as requested. I called to make sure the photos were received and was reassured that everything was good to go. FAST FORWARD to the day of my appointment.... I traveled across town just to be informed that Jake wanted to reschedule me to come back in another 2 months. The receptionist said they called me and left a voicemail earlier in the day, however, due to me being at work I did not notice the missed call until later, not to mention the call was from an out of state number. When I asked the receptionist the reason, my appointment was being rescheduled they said Jake was "uncomfortable" with doing the type of work I request. This is something that should have been stated when I emailed the photos, or better yet when we met face to face! To make matters worse, when I arrived at the shop to get my refund I was greeted with a monotoned, non-empathetic "sorry" from the girl at the desk. What a way to ruin an experience I'd look forward to for so long. Maybe I would feel better if I didn't see countless examples of the exact type of work I wanted all over Jake's social media pages; maybe my skin is not the shade needed to make one feel "comfortable". Walked in to get a quote on a forearm tattoo I've been wanting to do for years. Lex gave me a good price which I was happy with. I asked if it was possible to do it now? He told me no problem. He knocked it out in less than an hour. I'm really happy with his work. The shop had a very cool and laid back atmosphere. Review is a little late, but better late than never. My friend and I went in back in September of 2014 at their old location. We were imminently greeted with a warm welcome. Since I had never been their I was told to look through the portfolio books and see which artist I liked best. I was in awe with the first portfolio I look at. I ended up getting a tattoo that day with Kep Foe. He was so nice and caring, made sure I was comfortable, offered me breaks if I needed it, but I really liked how he took the time to place the stencil on correctly and made sure it looked right before he started tattooing me. Needless to say, 2 years later and my tattoo is holding up beautifully and looks amazing. Will be going back soon. read more
