If you are not down for a really god rough deep tissue massage this is not and I repeat not your cup of tea. If you have horrendous god awful knots no one can help this place is a god sent. I have had multiple spine injuries and get severe Charlie horse type knots in my shoulders kind of like rocks the size of jawbreakers. I was a little nervous at first about the legitimacy of this place due to the cost, however I had the best 30 minute massage ever an older man with hot stones got rid of knots that no one at massage envy have even been able to break during a 90 min rub. I am on the computer all day I got the rub 3 days ago and still feel amazing. Before this run I have been in constant pain for an entire month. I used to go here about once a month to see Davy (I think that was his name) in - I think - 2018. He was awesome! I moved out of state for a short while and came back a few months ago. I made an appointment and what a mistake that was! Firstly, the dude spent way too much time on my butt - I was just getting ready to tell him to please move on - and he probably felt the vibe and moved on. It was one of the worst massages I've ever had! I had to tell him three times not to touch the base of my spine because I have a herniated disc that, if you touch it - it feels like a very bad bruise. I know there was a language barrier so I showed him where, and told him NO. I also had to tell him three times "not so hard" & "softer" on my feet - The lady finally told him (i'm assuming since he stopped). I was not happy, so when he walked away I threw $5 on the table & left. I really didn't want to leave him anything because it was a horrible massage, (& he was clearly just going through the motions) but I did anyway. So I'm getting in my car and he runs out the door saying "tip, tip" I gave him a dirty look and said "it's on the table" - he didn't even say "thank you" - he just went back inside. I don't care how desperate I am for a massage (i'm really bad at making appointments, and I use this place primarily because you don't have to make an appointment) - I will never ever ever ever ever go here again! EVER! By the way, I have this gift of knowing when a business is going to go under (when Blockbuster video started getting greedy & shady, I told them over the phone "you will be out of business in under three years" and they were out of business in two years and 11 months ). We went to get the couple massage which was good but the bad thing was you have to pay upfront so it's like ok no biggie but the part that made me feel uncomfortable was they force you to pay tip the total was 80 and the lady wanted us to pay 100 total she said said 10 per person tip I was like well let's see how the massage is first and then we decide how much to give boy was I wrong the lady at the end was very very insisted be on us paying 20 In tip haha I felt bullied by this kind of crap. Don't recommend this place at all . First we walk and ask for 35 min massage with hot stones . We waited in the room for about 15 min , didn't have a sheet so I got up and got it myself . They came in and didn't ask anything at all . She massaged me for about 20 min and was talking the whole time so I didn't even get too enjoy the massage or even relax . I didn't get the hot stone I asked for , never once did she ask how much pressure I wanted like they have in other places . My husband needed a massage for a painful shoulder, and came here. First and last time. He asked for and was charged for a 1 hr massage only to have the therapist do a 90 minute massage so he paid the difference even though he didn't want it to last that long. Then after doing a 20% tip for a mediocre massage. The lady was standing there telling him it wasn't enough of a tip, and kept asking him for more money. He felt really uncomfortable with the whole situation, but gave her more money anyway. She kept saying it wasn't enough and shaking her head. I get that they rely almost exclusively on tips, but they were so incredibly rude about it. The whole situation left us both pissed off. I LOVE this place so much. I have a highly stressful job and am very physically active so I try to come once a week to decompress and relax. I need someone with strong hands, and every single person here has got those! However, my number one person is Hunter. He is very attentive and inquires about any areas that need extra work before the massage begins. He has also come up with a plan that has been helping to alleviate pain from an old arm injury. The pricing is also a great bonus. I usually do the #8 (foot/body combo for an hour), but I have also treated myself to the hot rocks full body massage, which is just heavenly. We had to pay first before leading us to this open area room with curtains around us, the towels they provided were pretty much beat up ones, luckily I brought my own. I have the man give me the massage, he took me behind the curtains and immediately demanded I pay him then. Massage was great, the only reason I am giving 1 star is because after the massage the staff practically cornered us for tips. I didn't even have a chance to reach for my wallet after I left the room before they asked. My friend who also received a massage was blocked in the massage room and was immediately asked for a tip following massage. The only reason I did not give five stars is because they talk to each other while massaging you in the communal room. They should give all their attention to the massage because you want tranquility while you are getting a massage. They are walking back and forth into the room and making conversation. So I have been here twice now, the first time was amazing and the second wasn't so great. The first time I went it was on a weekend and wasn't busy, I bought the 1 hour for $40 and was immediately taken back to a room. The guy that did the massage was amazing he know just how to work out all the muscles. Based off of my first great massage me and a friend decided to go get one tonight. They asked if we wanted a room together and we both didn't care so they put us in the same room. That wasn't an issue at all and was an nice offering. We both elected for the 1 hour $40 and paid with card which they charge an extra $2 for well we left our 15% tip on the card slip and went back for the massage. This time the massage was not as good. I had a different guy and he used his forearms most of the time and didn't really get too deep in the muscle. But what really sucked massage wise was that they didn't even do our feet which was part of the full body! After the massage was over and we were leaving the female that did my friends massage ran after us asking for a tip. We told her we wrote it on the slip and based off of the massage I wasn't really wanting to give them any time at all let alone more but she just kept shouting tip at us so we both reluctantly wrote $5 more on the slip. This has got to be my worst review regarding ANY business. I don't know why I haven't done this earlier but I would first like to say that I am a regular customer and I have had over 25 massages here. #1 this place does not consider SAFETY. One day I was getting a massage and a lady who was leaving was so hurt that she couldn't walk! The commotion was so so loud and disturbing that my massage was constantly being interrupted and my masseuse left me unattended to the point that a one hour massage turned into a two hour session.#2 most massage parlors use a punch card system where your 11th visit is free. I received a text message from this place that I am ready to recieve my free massage. When I called to redeem it, the owner denied that he ever sent me a message! The proof is in my phone. I will try to include a screen shot of my message. I am suspect of identity theft now. They ask you for your date of birth on the clipboard too. My wife went there today for a massage. The 45 minute full body massage costs $32 which is very reasonable. The issue was at the end when the massage was completed the therapist requested a tip. The lady turned down a $3 tip and exclusively requested a $10 tip. There should never be an expectation from your clients for a tip and for a specific amount. Providing exceptional service and being paid for it should be sufficient. There are plenty of spas available and we are certainly NOT returning to fletcher spa. read more
