Everything was carefully explained ahead of time and then afterward to make sure I knew what had happened, what they found, and what the warranty covered. I brought my motor home to Fletchers as this is where my rv insurance recommended to replace the drivers side front windshield. It has been a disaster!! Within a couple of months, the glass cracked and it started whistling in the corner. They blamed it on a defective fiberglass cap. Had it in 4 more times within 8 months of the repair. Two months ago, the glad popped out first the drivers side then passenger. Insurance sent me to Bear RV and Truck Specialists in Hayward who specialize in this. They found no structural damage/defect! Zero problem except the glass was installed wrong and on top of that, Fletchers used urethane epoxy to try and fix it which destroyed the window gasket. On top of that, someone backed in to the rear of our motorhome while parked at Fletchers, causing almost $4000 damage. They claimed it did not happen there. I would never use them or recommend them. read more

TL;DR These guys are professional, kind, honorable and straight shooters. Great followup, immediate service, painless billing to my insurer to fix my windshield, and by happenstance Chris gave my phenomenal and detailed advice on my car insurance that ultimately lead to me halving my insane rate, knowing my risk/coverage better than ever, and being MUCH happier as a result. ================ I was ignorant that Geico would cover the chips in my windshield for free until I was informed by a friend. Selected Fletcher's right from the Geico app on a Friday night and Chris promptly called me when they opened after the weekend to arrange the fix. When I returned the call a couple days later I was immediately able to drive over and have the chips repaired instantly. Chris and his team were kind and professional, and great conversationalists to boot. I talked Chris' ear off about my unique car (BMW i3) and he listened enthusiastically and conversed about what brought me back this way from the east coast. In the end he wound up also giving me phenomenal advice on my car insurance (after I expressed I had just updated it when I moved back to CA two weeks earlier and was disappointed to find out my costs increased 30% even though I reduced ALL my coverages to random much-worse values). Sure enough I followed up with my insurer, lowered my comprehensive deductible from a wild $2500 back to $100, actually learned about the difference between comprehensive and collision optional coverages, talked to my insurer (at Chris' advice), then I ran the numbers and made a much much more informed decision. Long story short I improved my coverage where I needed it, understand my risk/coverage better than ever and cut my rate by a ton A non-sequiter I'll mention - in these days of extreme partisanship there a number of flags displayed prominently (and some not-prominently indoors) that may possibly be offputting to some. I'm being vague, but to be clear nothing displayed was SUPER divisive, just these are very divisive times. Regardless in my experience these guys are very professional, a local small business, do great work and treat their customers very well. read more

I asked the folks in the local "Grass Valley Peeps" group on Facebook (12,000+ members) for recommendations on auto glass shops, and Fletcher's definitely got the bulk of the recommendations. Great service; they found me an OEM-standard windshield and had the safety sensors and cameras recalibrated with 100% accuracy. Took them about 2 1/2 hours as promised. 100% recommend these guys, especially since they're locally owned and operated. read more

I was given a quote for my windshield for $252 but after a body shop fixed the rust around my windshield, the bill came in at over $400!! When I returned to talk to the owner, he refused to believe me that his employee had given me a quote. I told him that I had confirmed it several times with him....but to no avail. I told him that I had a quote for $290 at Reliable Glass a mile away but he told me I was dead wrong!!! To move along since I am very busy, I compromised and asked for 1/2 back of the extra $150 or so, or $75. I had to make my case and he somewhat resentfully complied. I then went to Reliable Glass to confirm their quote which was, INDEED! $290, much less for a fully installed windshield including labor. Had his employee not given me the wrong quote, I would have gone to Reliable. I returned to mention this to the owner and he saw me come in and told me he had already called Reliable to confirm their price. He gave no apology and seemed particularly angry over losing $75. WOW!!! I believe Reliable is, as they say, reliable and that he should check back with his employee about providing false info since he thinks I was lying or making up the quote of $252. I would say that there may be other windshield replacement businesses that provide better quotes in this region. I should have got his employee to write down the quote!!!! But worst of all is the owner's attitude and unprofessionalism. I found it VERY disturbing esp. after he had confirmed the much lower price at Reliable.!!! read more

These guys are incredible. Had a leak in my windshield, and the rains were here. They got me in promptly, and did a great job. In addition, as I was checking out they noticed that my sunroof was slightly mis-aligned and might also cause a leak. They opened it up, cleared out all of the drains, and re- aligned it, at no additional charge!
