What first caught my attention was the music -- it's by my favorite band -- but what sold me was the message that they'll come to your home or office to replace the windshield. I went online right then, booked an appointment for them to come to my house, and that was it. I didn't have to lift a finger afterward. The technician showed up right on time during the scheduled window. You honestly wouldn't have even known he was there unless you were looking for him. I stepped outside when he first arrived, and the whole process was smooth, professional, and incredibly convenient. I want to be fully transparent, the entire reason for me to take the time to write this review is with the goal that at least two people read this and go elsewhere for their auto glass needs. I will feel like I did something for the community and I will feel like I got my money back. I had a windshield replaced 2/13. Service was OK, although my appointment was scheduled for 2/12 and when I got there on the 12th, they realized they ordered the wrong glass for my car and I had to come back for service the 13th. That happens, no problems. On 2/27, I was sitting at a stop sign when I noticed a straight line, about one inch, on the edge of the glass, in the black. I couldn't tell what it was. I tried wiping it off from the inside of my car and I tried to clean it off with the wipers. Within 15 minutes, that one inch turned into 4, into 6. Still, confused by what it was. I stopped and saw from the outside that the windshield was cracked! I called right away and let them know. They told me a manger would call me on Monday. I work nights and was nearby the shop on Monday morning, I called and asked if I could bring it in now. They agreed. I brought it in and did not get the guy's name but he introduced himself as a "foreman". He looked at the crack and told me that it was caused by something hitting it. I did not believe that at all. The next few minutes shocked me and the second I knew, for sure, that this was not a reputable shop is when I asked him for a second opinion, and suggested it was a stress fracture from the installation two weeks ago. He told me, again, he was a foreman and that there was no one else who could give a second opinion. I told him OK, but that I absolutely could not get it replaced there again. He understood and let me leave. Then, I started doing actual research! If you are reading this and need auto glass, do NOT go here. Drive 43 minutes down the hill to Tigris auto glass (916) 476-3052. It will be a lot cheaper (from $470 to $250) in my case and I've had it now 7 weeks with no fracture. I understand things happen and I understand bad luck. Maybe my experience was both of those but the two things that I can't quite get over are 1) not honoring a customers request for a second opinion--that is free and ANY reputable or even reasonable person would gladly set up a second opinion and 2) I haven't mentioned this yet....but the installation, I was about to leave and the receptionist said, "oh and they told you no car washes and keep the tape on right?" No, I had zero instructions and was planning to go straight to the car wash! I didn't because she told me at the last second. At Tigris, I had a hand out with special care and instructions for the first two weeks. Knowing what I know now, absolute should have never installed my windshield when they did---as a major storm and temperature changes were brewing and those conditions alone make the glass setting and installation more vulnerable. Jeana, the office manager was rude and is ruining this business. I was finally able to get her to send me the quote which is generated by their QuickBooks software which goes straight into my junk mail - unbeknownst to me because the problem is they weren't telling me they were sending me the quote. Then she claims she called me (my desk phone) many times but she didn't leave me any voicemails. I sent them yet another e-mail asking in an extremely nice way for the quote. This time she informed me that she sent me the quote but replied in what seemed an indignant manner - she seemed offended (and I now know she was) that I asked her to send me the quote directly rather than have it generated from software that was ending up in my spam folder which she effectively claimed was impossible (she could have generated the quote to herself and then forwarded it to me - easy) so I checked my spam file and of course it was there and I said: got the quote - see how easy that was - after which I get an e-mail from the same e-mail address, claiming that it's Curtis (the really nice gentleman who came out and did the proposal) stating that they will decline to do services for us.

Water started leaking down the interior passenger‑side vertical panel, and my moisture‑sensing feature no longer worked. When I climbed up (the truck sits high) to inspect the windshield, I discovered that the weatherstripping along the entire lower edge had been destroyed. I contacted Safelite customer care and was directed to take the truck back to the shop. Prior to picking the truck back up, I called to complain about the poor work quality and was referred to Shawn Scobee, the manager at the Rocklin location. Instead of addressing the workmanship issues, he dismissed my concerns and claimed that "all Ford trucks have this problem" and that Safelite would not cover any portion of the replacement cost. Yes, these trucks have delicate lower cowlings -- which is exactly why a competent technician should handle them with care. Mine clearly didn't. The windshield wasn't sealed correctly, the moisture sensor wasn't connected, and the cowling was treated like it was being removed and reinstalled by a gorilla (with all due respect to a wonderful animal). I'm not claiming that every Safelite location is terrible, but the Rocklin branch won't see me again. The management is dismissive and the workmanship was far below what anyone should expect from a specialized service provider.
