Service was good. I was very well attended to, the inside is spacious and comfortable, and it's a fine place to stop in for a quick lunch or something running errands. The food, in my times dropping in over the years has always been pretty unremarkable. Not terrible, but not overly flavorsome. Look for specials (Which they do frequently) to not overspend and it's a an alright spot. read more

Really disappointing. It's been several years since I've been here but wow! This place has really gone downhill. Excited for the Bluegill plate but unfortunately, the fried fish had a metallic taste, it seemed unfresh and just not very good. Flatbread was on thick bready crust that was dry, bland and fairly tasteless. Reminded us more like chewing on thick cardboard really. Goulash was basically elbow macaroni and spaghetti sauce. It looked unappetizing as you can get. Cmon, can't you do better than that? Shrimp bangers appetizer was actually good. Portion was a bit small but it was hot, tasty and fresh. Garlic Parmesan appetizer was basically just deep fried pizza dough. Flavorless and missing any kind of substance. Dipping it in pizza sauce helped but the sauce wasn't very flavorful either! The staff were friendly and had positive energy about them. The menu has a wide variety of items but I really love their burger and fries. I know it seems simple, but when I order a medium rare burger it's cooked properly. And it's so delicious! The fries are actually good. Crispy and delightful. The place has a pub/sports vibe and there are TVs over the bar. We went on a Friday around 6 and it was just starting to get busy. So it did start to get loud but mostly I enjoyed the atmosphere. Not a bad place to grab a burger or salad, wings in my case tonight. The wings were teriyaki flavored and they had a good coating of flavoring on them. I wouldn't say they were the best wings I've had, but they were pretty good. The fries from the kids meals were very good- extra crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The chicken fingers were pretty tasty, chicken cooked right. The service was good, food tasted good, and kids eat free Sunday- Monday with the price of an adult meal. My friend was in town visiting and we were at the bookstore next door and wanted to get lunch. I had never heard of the place but I was excited to try something new. We walked in and it looks very much like a pub/bar and has that atmosphere which was kind of nice since it's been a long time since I was able to go in one. I would definitely like to go try the drinks and appetizers (when things are a bit different). Our server was nice. I ordered the Venetian Flatbread. It was okay. The middle pieces were the best because all the stuff was on it. But the out pieces had nothing on it. We also got the pretzel bites which I really liked. I would try this place again. WHY DO I KEEP COMING BACK? The last time we were there, the experience was horrible. I ordered the bubbler, came out cold. Had to send it back, the pita was stale, then I ordered chicken and waffles. I laughed so hard when it came out. The waffles were Meijer frozen waffles. I asked how is this homemade Belgium waffles? I sent it back. This place needs to be completely redone. From the decor to the kitchen staff. It's sad that this place is owned by the houzer group, I think it has been forgotten. The food was excellent!! You know the food is good if the staff gets excited when the food is delivered to their table. I ordered the shrimp bangers. Lightly breaded and a smidgen spicey with a side of garlic toast. And it was fresh and hot. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The pub felt clean and the staff liked each other and enjoyed their food. I highly recommend this place. I also added the a cup of the sweet pepper crab (spc) soup. We stopped in for a quick dinner. Some prices are moderate, some are high. My sandwich was about $10 and my husband's burrito was about $13. The food was good and our waiter, Kurt, was efficient. The wet burrito was very good, a little pricier than you'd pay elsewhere and it did NOT come with sour cream, but it was good. The grilled Mac and Cheese sandwich was a cool concept consisting of a huge mac and cheese fritter with thick-cut bacon. The fritter was good, but the bacon was sparse. The bread had a cheap oil taste to it. I'm glad I tried it, but I wouldn't get it again. Word to the wise if you do get the mac and cheese sandwich: it holds in crazy heat -let it rest or you'll end up with a gnarly lip burn (ouch, party of one). read more

Tonight it was two star We went to eat at Fletchers pub. My husband ordered a dry martini on the rocks. The server brought a gin tonic then brought a martini no rocks then got it right but not in a martini glass We ordered corn beef and cabbage.The waitress brought corn beef and potatoes and some shady looking corn beef. I sent it back. She brought back corn beef and cabbage but no potatoes. My husband asked for cabbage. The server brought cabbage and charged us for it!! She gave us the bill half way through the meal. She took my drink half finished! It's March! We spoke to the manager. She charged us full price for everything then took off a bit even though we didn't get what the menu said came with the special ! We have eaten at this restaurant before and they were short staffed ! I don't mean to complain but it was 2 only Perhaps it was the servers first night on the job. Pretty expensive for not getting what was on the menu. The manager was trying to make it right but it was expensive for what we got or didn't get!! The corn beef was good. The cabbage not bad. Our meal was a mixed bag. The good: My husband's burger was as good as they get -- the only challenge was getting that whole gigantic sandwich in his mouth. His buddy's mushroom and swiss burger also looked fantastic and the order was so ample that he took a half burger and about half the fries home. Awesome food for pub fare, and easy on the wallet prices. The bad: It took quite awhile for our food to come out despite the restaurant not seeming busy on a Sunday afternoon, and our server seemed a bit huffy about us asking to have the artichoke dip taken off the bill. Typically artichoke dips are a blend of mayo and parmesan cheese and she said there's doesn't have any cheese in it. Yuck. Our chicken fingers were perfectly fine. Drinks and food are both priced right here. Had we not encountered the mayo-tastic artichoke dip I'd probably give it a 4 star. read more

Came here for a weekday lunch with my Dad, who lives in the area and had heard good things about Fletcher's. His neighbors may be hearing some different things soon. When we walked in a sign informed us to wait to be seated. Though the pub was less than half full, it took a few minutes for a server to arrive and seat us. Our waitress came by shortly, gave us our waters and was ready to take our order, though we needed some time to look over the menu. And we got it! It took her more than five minutes to get back. I got a cobb salad, my father ordered an olive burger, and they were OK. The burger was quite large, though my salad was a bit smaller than most entree salads I've ordered. What chicken it had on it was nicely grilled, and the vegetables were fresh. When we were ready to go, our server had gone MIA. We waited close to ten minutes, then my dad decided to go pay at the bar. The moment he got there, of course, our server returned. Food certainly wasn't bad, though the service didn't incline me to go back for more. read more

All signs lead to 3. Our meals weren't culinary masterpieces, but they were okay, our server wasn't spectacular, but she wasn't horrible, the place wasn't dirty, nor was it remarkably clean. This could easily be a very forgettable dining excursion, which is kind of what happened. I forgot to write a review for a while. I'm not a fan of canned vegetables, it is my pet peeve at a restaurant, actually in life in general, but it seems like an even graver sin when I'm going somewhere for an experience. It watered down other elements on the plate, muddying flavors that might have merited higher marks had it not been on the plate in the first place. A few years ago I feel like this place was a lot better than it was at this visit. There are a lot of fantastic eateries in this area so I hope the try to up their game a bit more! read more

Had the absolute worst experience i've had in a long time here! My s/o and I were seated and served by Iris and I picked up the drink menu to take a look at their cocktails and was immediately met with "um we have pepsi products..." i was like alrighty then guess i'm not going to get to order a drink. Ordered a pepsi. My s/o ordered a long island and she asked for MY ID? I wasn't planning on drinking after the initial comment assuming I was underage. I then go on to order the pot roast and based off the menu description it comes with mashed potatoes, FRESH VEGETABLES, and texas toast. It was a slab of fatty meat on top of mashed potatoes and a slice of soggy bread. Asked Iris if there were any veggies that came with it and she said she didn't know and walked away. When she brought the check I saw my item was never even rang in as what I ordered to begin with! Definitely will not plan on coming back here after the atrocious service we received. read more

A good place to stop when I'm in the mood for quick lunch. Friday I was out and had an hour to kill before an appointment. I swung into Fletcher's Pub on Oakland Drive to grab a bite to eat. I sat at the bar, which is actually quiet nice. It wasn't crowded so it was me at one end and a couple of guys at the opposite end. The bartender was friendly and very nice. I ordered a drink and a cup of their sweet pepper crab soup. My drink arrived quickly and my soup followed shortly thereafter. The soup was very good. Nice pieces of crab, a wonderful creamy broth and just enough hotness in the soup to give it a good kick for the taste buds. In and out within 45 minutes. read more

Fred Farkle We usually hit up Main Street on West Main for our lunch and it is always very "OK". So to shake it up a tad we thought let's go to Fletchers Pub. Last week it was a meatloaf sandwich and a boatload of fries not to mention excellent and friendly service. That prompted a return visit to test the Nachos (with pulled pork) which was excellent. This place is right by my house so I go a fair bit. Sometimes it's better than others. Thus the 3 star rating. This last trip was a bad one. Dry burger, sprinkle of fries. It was an olive burger that was doused in a thin liquid ranch sauce and a handful of olives :( gross. It's always pretty loud, even when not busy. The staff is really nice. My husband and I have been eating at Fletcher's Pub for years and up until recently we had never had a bad meal. The past two visits my husband ordered the battered cod and it left a lot to be desired! On one visit it tasted like it had "freezer burn" and for both visits there were only 2 tiny pieces of fish the size of Gortons fish sticks. For less than the $13 we paid, we could have had 3 huge pieces of fried fish at Long John Silvers. Also both times there were questions with our bill. We get the bill and it has one total, then when they swipe the card there is a higher total. We point this out and it is corrected. But how many people will notice and/or complain? Some will simply pay and not give it a second thought. Is this what they are counting on? The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the staff is friendly. But I don't think we won't be going back. read more

The fried chicken club is the saving grace of this meal: nice, crispy chicken that is juicy and tender with bacon, mayo, and arugula. It was tasty. However, there are just too many other issues. The fries would have been great had they not been tossed in Mexican seasoning which included sugar. I brought up to the waitress that I did not like them, she said "oh yea we season them like that they are delicious" rolled her eyes and walked away. She should have replaced my fries. I did not eat them. On top of that, my wife had a Mexican salad that looked more like a nacho with tons of un-melted cheese. The lettuce is shredded iceberg like you might have on top of a taco. There was so little of it she asked for a side of lettuce. Add to this that she said the chips where stale and you get one bad restaurant if you want to eat healthy and delicious. We choose to come Fletcher's instead of the bistro a few doors down because we thought it would be cheaper. Really, it is not and the quality is way lower. The salad cost about $10 and for the same price next door we could have had romaine or masculine mix, fresh cooked chicken, beets, and chevre cheese. Now I am conflicted on whether to give 2 or 3 stars. I think if the service had been more attentive or the dance music a little lower or the back of the seat in our booth didn't move back and forth when the people in the adjoined booth leaned back the chicken sandwich could have made this a three. I come here occasionally to hang out with a friend who lives close by and have tried a few different things from the menu. On my last visit I gave the enchiladas a shot. In a word, bland. It came with re-fried beans and rice and the "whole enchilada" left me thinking there's something more they can be doing here to give this thing some flavor. Granted, my stints in San Diego introduce me to ridiculously good Mexican cuisine but even some kind of seasoning or spice would created a bit of flavor. The waitress Megan was very nice and attentive. She did a great job and probably belongs in a better restaurant. This is a local pub and I'd assume the focus is more on coming in and having some beers. There are TV monitors everywhere if you're there to catch a game. There is a decent variety of beers and if you have enough of them maybe you won't notice how the food tastes. Beyond the bar food type menu I'd also suggest a general update to the menu itself. Several other bar restaurants like Main St. Pub have morphed their menus with more healthy choices and have had a great deal of success in the process. This could be a better than average restaurant with a little more attentiveness to food quality and a greater diversity of menu items. But right now it only rates a two. read more

A solid choice near the neighborhood. Our service has always been friendly and prompt. The waitstaff are accommodating and really nice. The food has always been as expected or better. I am a fan of the parmesan bites and pretzel bites for appetizers. The specials are usually really good too. They don't have an overwhelming draft selection, but do tend to offer at least one choice of the styles of beer most people seem to prefer these days, in addition to the standard macro offerings. My experience at Fletcher's was mediocre. I met some friends there for dinner and drinks the other night. Our server was lovely, our food was not. I ordered the California Turkey Burger and was presented with what looked like a coleslaw sandwich on toasted wonder bread. I thought maybe there had been a miscommunication with the server and asked, "Is this the turkey burger?" And she replied, "Yup, it's in there!" She was right. Buried under that mountain of over-sauced cabbage I found a burger about the size and thickness of a cafeteria sausage patty. My friends were a little disappointed in what they had ordered as well. When a man came over and asked us how our meal maybe we should've said fine, but one of my friends answered honestly, "Enh, it's nothing to write home about." The man stared at her a moment, looked at her plate, and then sneered, "well, you ordered potato skins..." and then walked away without another word. So... I guess don't get the potato skins? As we later found out from our server, that man was the owner of the restaurant. At any rate, we probably won't be back for some time, but the service from our server was very good. Let me start by saying that I love the food at Fletcher's, sadly, no my one star isn't a mistake, let me explain. My friend and I stopped at Fletcher's last night around 11:20pm for a bite to eat, we ordered our drinks successfully and perused the menu. I started to notice a cold shoulder from our waitress (who I'm pretty sure is also the "cash me outside, how bout dat" girl) when we placed our food order. We had yet to receive anything close to a smile or even a welcoming glance. As always our food arrived quickly and was excellent, unfortunately the tone of the waitress really started rubbing me the wrong way. Not one time did we get checked on during our meal. Our waitress would walk right by and ignore us. We finally had to stop her and ask for our bill and I asked at that time for an order of chicken tenders to go. I was given a dirty look and told the kitchen was closed. At this point I don't even know if this was true or if she simply just wanted us to leave. We got our bill and for the first time in my life I gave zero tip. I just don't like to do that as these jobs suck and everyone has a bad day every now and again - but the overly cold tone, lack of all attention and general rudeness forced my hand. I also don't practice writing poor reviews unless the situation truly warrants it. I think I only have one other review on this site and it's a glowing one for Anna's House (seriously go there for breakfast). So, this one star rating is due to one waitress that left such a bad taste in my mouth that I will thinks twice before entering the doors of Fletcher's for a hot minute. You my dear were anything but a treat and if this is how you treat customers everyday you may want to consider going into another non-service related industry. Sorry Fletcher's for the rating but your waitstaff is your front line to your consumers, at the end of the day you own the experience not just the food. The one thing I appreciate about Fletchers is that is was close to my work, so I was always able to order ahead on the phone and could go there, sit down, and the food would be brought right out so I wouldn't be late getting back to work. Once complaint I have was the last time I went there. The previous person sitting in our booth had spilled an entire cup of water under the table. So when my friends and I sat down our feet were immediately soaked. The waitress said she would hurry and get a mop, but she forgot and we had to remind her when she finally came back to the table. Then she tried soaking up the water with a wet mop, which didn't work. So we had to ask to move to another table. As far as pub food goes, it is pretty good. I enjoy the buffalo chicken dip and parmesan bites as appetizers. Watch out though, the parm bites are pretty addictive. I would not recommend any of the entrees.
