A little back story - We moved into our house about three years ago and had a baby shortly after. Due to sheer exhaustion from having a child who was a poor sleeper, we let some home maintenance slip. Recently, we realized we had never had our windows or gutters cleaned since moving in! ICK! I am an officer of an HOA in the West Hills District. Flour-De-Lis has been cleaning our roof gutters for quite a while now and has always done a good job. This last time heavy rain flushed some leaves into our downspouts after cleaning, causing backup. I called the company and within fifteen minutes the crew was back out correcting the problem. I had scheduled this company for washing windows inside and out. Let me first say that I have used them before and was satisfied the first time. ( our windows sills were probably pretty clean as we normally clean them ourselves regularly) Today, When they started cleaning I went in and asked what magic tool do they use to clean the tracks? As a homeowner I'm always looking for the best ways to do something and figured they were the experts. The worker/owner replied we use a sponge to wipe them out but that's all we do, we don't use any brushes. I was surprised "cleaning the tracks" meant not getting the corners. He showed me the sill he just did, and He said "just to clarify, do you want me to continue?" I said yes as we have an event next week, but I'll have to wait to see what I think about next time. I wasn't mad, just surprised. Maybe I shouldn't have said that although I think seeing the work done at the end is an obvious point of decision if I use them again. But I left the room, and then came back and thought I better just clarify that washing the windows would mean washing them streak free just to be sure that we were on the same page. He got huffy, said "I need to call my office I don't think I want to continue. ". He went outside and called the other worker on the phone and then the worker left. He was offended that I might use someone else next time and wasn't going to complete the job he was hired to do this time. He was very hot and bothered that I was trying to clarify so that we would be on the same page. Instead of trying to come to an agreement , He was arrogant and easily offended. I certainly did not want him in my house after that. read more

I hired this company to clean gutters and roof. They rescheduled the morning of they were to show on a Thursday, and then to come back on Monday. They were late on Monday and walked off the job and left a mess on my property. I had to call the company and they said they would come out the next morning with a new crew to do the job. They were a half hour late and left a message on my door with out knocking stating that they will not be doing the job. I do not recommend the company for lack of professionalism and customer service. They still did not clean up my property from the mess they left. read more
