My biggest issue with Flex Spas Atlanta is that they have an outside area that is not covered which leads to the pig pen area . During the winter months this is still uncovered and there are NO heat lamps or anything. This is also an issue when it rains . We want to be able to enjoy all parts of the facility . This would not be an issue if they had an alternate route to get to that side of the facility but they do not . read more

I just wrote them a complaint email. I was just there a few days ago. The hot tub jets were not working, and the staff never informed you when you entered if something was not working or unavailable. Steam Room jets are not spitting out scalding hot water. Broken light fixture hanging, and bright white light. The vending machines have never worked properly for the last year. I have lost money in the machine. Then you have to bother the staff to get your money or the product. Still using Cash Machines. All (3) need to be replaced with a machine that takes cards. I ussally vist every year for pride. The spa has nice set up but back room (pig pen is too damm bright stop that big screen in back from Playing. It makes that back room bright and uncomfortable thats why everyone has to hide in back corner away from screen to do anything I would say second option to play without room is wet sauna where u cant play to long or hot sauna ether way not comfortable for long period of time. So my first time in Atlanta wanted to try this place out. This pace was much smaller than other spas I've been to- If you are a size queen this is the place to visit. But the atmosphere seemed a little dull we went at 1am on a Friday night. One big sauna and a huge swimming area. I have called on several occasions and have not been able to reach anyone to explain my expulsion. During my visit to Atlanta , I wanted to try a new adventure. And Flex Spa Atlanta did not disappoint. The customer service was amazing and the facility was very clean. They take precautions at the door with temperature checks. Flex Spa offers several options to securing your personal items ( which I love ). You can rent a locker , a small room , a small room with a TV or larger room with a bed and a TV. Netflix and other apps are available on the TVs. The front entrance is Equipped with three vending machines , TV and seating area. Adjacent to that is a large hot pool. The downstairs area has a decent size pool and 2 saunas ( wet and dry) and several shower areas. This facility is equipped with two full-size bathrooms. One upstairs and one downstairs. The crowd is mixed from different ages and body types. As well as cultures and colors......so come with an open mind. Or you will lose the experience all together. Side Note: all rooms come with fresh linens that you apply yourself. I only have one recommendation brighter lighting in the private rooms. read more

My visit to FLEX Spas Atlanta was my first trip to a male sauna. As the LGBTQ+ community has gained more visibility and legal rights in the United States, queer saunas such as FLEX Spas Atlanta have been dwindling throughout the country. I am three hours away from Atlanta by car and decided to make the drive so that I could experience a gay sauna for the first time. Atlanta was closest; the second closest was around ten hours away. First, whereas some locations mandate shoes, this sauna does not require patrons to wear flip-flops. No shoes are provided or for sale, and most men walked throughout the facility barefoot. Second, condoms are widely available throughout the sauna and can be located in the bathrooms. Personal lubricant is not provided. A few men brought personal lubricant from home. I am unsure whether personal lubricant is for sale, but I would suspect it is given the nature of the establishment. My major criticism of the establishment is the lack of signs directing patrons to the spa. After purchasing a one day membership and showing my driver's license, a sauna associate buzzes me into the building. Stepping inside, I'm struck by the darkness. Red lights faintly illuminate the locker room. I stumble my way to my locker, fully undress while no one's looking, quickly wrap a toilet around my waist, and shove my belongings into the locker. Then I don't know where to go. Where's the sauna? The entry was shrouded in darkness, so I meander about trying to find a door to the actual spa. I feel incredibly embarrassed as I stumbled about the place. I eventually decide to try a door, thinking it leads to the pool, but I accidentally barge in on someone using the restroom. Bewildered, they bark that I get out. Finally, I did manage to discover the spa. I don't know how I managed to find it, and I would struggle to find it again. The entrance was a labyrinth! However, once I was in the spa, I was able to easily navigate my way and locate everything, like the pool, showers, and pig pen. I visited at 1:00 am on a Friday, so only twenty or so people were there. (Not a Friday night, but a Thursday night that bled into Friday morning.) I found a guy who was really cute, and we decided to chat and engage in sexual acts. I would highly recommend the spa to anyone curious to attend. My only lingering question about the place is whether trans men are permitted to attend. I would like to think so, but no materials I came across specified whether they could. All the men in the spa appeared to be cisgender. (Some men walked throughout the spa naked or participated in sexual acts. They all had penises.) As the pandemic is surging, it is a hope that the owner will rethink the importance of creating a mandate to wear the mask unless showering, swimming or in ones private room. In a sauna where its easy to get distracted, (particularly if there is a lot of foot traffic), it may be impossible to keep six feet apart. If a handful of clients are unmasked it makes them more vulnerable to contract Covid. Because we, in the GLBT community, have endured so much, through health issues like AIDS, Discrimination in multiple ways, it seems we are wisest when we take a stand, to protect one another. I hope that mask wearing, will be required at Flex. I am sure it will bring controversy, yet in the end, all we have is our own life and when we live it with pragmatism, integrity, wisdom and concern for our friends well being, we gain emotional satisfaction with our life and for our neighbors. I've always had a really good time during my visits to FLEX Atlanta. i love the outdoor showers and the garden areas by the pool alike. The steam room could be kept cleaner, though -- it always seems to have a dank, mildewy smell to it. (What's odd is that this place is otherwise immaculate, at least in my experience. It may well be one of the cleanest gay bathhouses/health clubs I've visited.) You'll find guys of all shapes, sizes, colors, and types here, so don't go in expecting to meet one universal muscle god, bear, twink, silver daddy, etc. Reasonable fees. Decent gym equipment. Easy to find if you're familiar with downtown Atlanta. (Me? I always just grab a cab.) read more

January 31. 2021 (see initial review in October 2020 below) Don't get me wrong on this review, I've been to Flex MANY times over the past few years and my experience has always been awesome, but things have really changed. Arrived around 11am on Sunday morning to a full parking lot; I'm thinking heck yeah! I begin walking towards the front door and quickly realize the front door has been moved closer to the parking lot - interesting. I pay my fees and enter, get my temp checked, all is well. The front door is also the exit door, all of this at the corner of hot tub closest to the parking lot - okay, no problem. Then, as I enter I notice lockers on the wall to my left. No biggy right? So as I go to enter the main area, I'm totally disoriented. Why? Well there is a small sign indicating entering the Red Light District. Okay awesome! No, you now pretty much enter the complex through what was once the glory hole playroom area. What is left is 1 glory hole and the swing - the rest of the area is not accessible. But wait, the whole section of rooms/lockers normally to your left is WALLED OFF with concrete blocks. Then I remembered a sign at check in that the steam room was down until Monday (but you could use it as is). After playing around, decided to take a shower; the water got warm at best, not hot like normal (steam room related? Not sure). There are very few rooms available for rent, think about the main hall, executive suites then around to the door to the bottom part of the club. I heard that they lost their lease to the other half of the building - maybe they are doing the best they can with what they have. I did have fun as usual but my favorite places are the Glory Hole playroom and the steam room which were both severely impacted by the change. Not sure when I will be back, was extremely disappointed. October of 2020 review: Not sure what to expect during this pandemic, waited until Oct 2020 to visit again. Having experienced this place several times, I knew it could be somewhat crowded to almost empty. Parking lot was somewhat full. As of this visit, you are required to wear a mask to enter but masks inside are not a requirement. The place seemed to be clean all over and they did close the play area down for a bit to clean it. Got a room with TV as always. Met a a couple of great guys, bottomed for both of them. All in all, a great experience even though it started out slow (on a Saturday). Place was never great though the facility has many amenities - pool, saunas, etc. Seems like they have SOLD OUT to local developers as they are getting squeezed out if their prime location. On my last visit - about two months ago the place was at least half the size it used to be. Their new in room "video" system sucks. It's hard to navigate and the selections are few. Each time I go I stay to myself, well that was a waste of $30. Well this last time was the last time. I have had fun times in the place years ago. There were fun places to cruise and play. You used to even get a pillow if you got a room. That "feature" vanished a while ago too. Seems like the public play places are almost non-existent now. Sorry to see a place like this slowly fade into oblivion. No more visits from me at least. read more

Remember. A place like Flex and your experience there depends upon who is there when you are there. One is not guaranteed and good time or a bad time when you walk in. I've had both at Flex and it all depends on the guys who are there. If there's guys who are attracted to you and you to them, then you're probably going to have a good time. Full parking lot, empty inside. Sauna was not much hotter than room temperature, over illuminated. Steam room barely hot enough and people kept holding the door open to see who was in side, letting in further cold air.... Staff is disinterested at best, unhelpful and more interested in their own business than their customers' well-being. If it's your first time and you have a few questions (like where is this or that?) don't expect more than a grunt from these fellows. Might be better if there were more people, but this is not up to the standards of bathhouses in other gay cities like Vancouver, Chicago and Melbourne (AUS) that I have been to. read more

Last weekend was my 3rd time at Flex. What bugs me is there are few people my age 20s. Iv only gone on Sat. And the parking lot is full but dosnt seem to reflect it in the building. Im not saying everyone is ugly,fat and old. Im saying you might need to relax and wait a min. to find what you are looking for. They have an amazing facility though rooms with tvs in it suites heated indoor pool where people swim naked a wet and a additional dry sauna and showers and a really huge hot tube. they provide condoms but you have to buy lube. This was my first time at a bath house. I only went to see what it was like. Surprisingly it was very clean, even for someone who had no expectations. The Staff was constantly cleaning while I was there. I did see a mouse by the vending machine, which was working, but whatever. On the down side the place was too dark for my liking as a first timer and the crowd was very to themselves and no one talked the whole time I was there. Most of them just stood in front of their rooms. I thought it would be more friendly or social atmosphere. The Jacuzzi was very comfortable aside from the fact that the seat and flooring of it is glass so it's impossible for you to just sit there since the streams just cause you to slide around in there lol. Maybe that was just because I'm so skinny. The pool was big and the sauna was nice also. The steam room however, smelled like piss when I walked in there so I immediately turned back around and left the steam room. All of the rooms are incredibly small and the crowd was between 28 and up which I didn't mind, but it's definitely not the place for young folk :) and you do have to strip to at least your underwear. pretty much a "normal" bathhouse for the US (in Europe many saunas are much more fancy and well decorated). There is everything: cabins, steam room, large swimming pool, outdoor area, gym (extra charge), jacuzzi, rooms, glory holes and cubicles for those who have just a locker. Staff runs around cleaning. Racially quite mixed. Also mixed ages. Again, not a luxury place, decoration could be better (for instance there are loose cables hanging around). The dry sauna is not heated properly, the steam is also not too hot so you can have fun. After dark the steam room gets also darker and more fun. Other reviewers stated that there is not a lot of socializing which I found to be true; people come to cruise. And you also need to be patient. Not to crowded at daytime on weekdays. On WE also busy around midnight. Staff quite friendly, has improved in recent years. There is also a 'luxury' wing with better decorated rooms , for a charge. Recommended. IMHO, the other "dramatic" reviews here are greatly exaggerated, remember this is not Germany or Switzerland with their luxury bathhouses. read more

I've been having a little trouble with a bum knee for a few days...my best friend decided to take us to Flex, so he could "pop my cherry," seeing as how I've never been. I've had some pretty gross thoughts about "bathhouses" going through my mind since someone told me last year about Flex. This first visit blew my misconceptions out of the water! LOL. The entire staff is friendly and attentive. What struck me about this place is how absolutely gorgeous and clean the entire property is. Huge sauna, relaxing steam room, showers, private rooms of many accommodating levels, personal lockers, heated indoor swimming pool, huge area for laying out to get rid of tan lines...and did I mention that I came on Sunday after 2pm, so they also fed us for free! All of these, and the men walking around wearing only towels to cover their dangly bits, have convinced me to purchase a 6-month membership next time I come in! read more
