Everything I had was SOOO delicious, great seasoning and texture! The pork belly tapa may have been the best pork belly I've ever had in my life, was so tender, juicy, and also crispy in the right parts. Paired with a delicious chimichurri sauce. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy with a lovely sauce. The potatoes bravas were well cooked and the creamy sauce helped finish the experience. The chef personally came over to talk about one of the dishes I ordered and went out of his way to make the dish happen. The service is also top notch, would def come here again!! read more

After finishing up with some evening plans a bit early, I decided to take in a bit of solo time before heading home. As I was visiting on a weekday evening, I didn't expect it to be too crowded but boy, was I wrong. The crowd was out and about! Even so, I was quickly seated at a table on the patio so that I could take in the great weather during my visit. The vibes were perfect for a little drink! I was warmly greeted by the team with a glass of water and the necessary menus. I decided to go with a glass of Syrah to start off and it was so smooth, I decided to go for another glass. I wasn't too hungry but knew I wanted a bite so I decided to go for the mussels. You can never go wrong with mussels! They came out hot, buttery and paired with a crusty piece of bread. They were delicious! And the bread was perfect for soaking up the broth. I ended my meal with the olive oil cake, although I was so bummed that they didn't have anymore ice cream to pair it with. This place has a fantastic concept. Shared plates, a plethora of wines to order, a romantic/ intimate ambiance and friendly staff. My cousin and I came to yap and catch up so we ordered the Dates, Brussels, Cauliflower, Patas Bravas, Empanadas, and hummus to share and ended up downing two bottles of wine, the Petit Manseng Viognier and the Monte Quieto Alegre. Im sure we were here over 2 hours. All items highly recommended. I definitely think I found my newest wine bar in the city to dine! Pros The vibes are given at this establishment. Nice set up, dim lights, and light music. The food is tapas style. It was delicious. The shrimp was hot and fresh and the salad was refreshing. The service was perfect. Manager was on the floor, talking to tables, and helping wherever they could. A1 service. Cons This is a tapas so the portion sizes are small. Visited here for the first time with some friends and I enjoyed the ambiance. The music and lighting were perfect. Our waitress was very bubbly and welcoming. All of our Tapas dishes were amazing. We order the Brussels, potato tortilla, and whipped sheep's cheese. I ordered the Parrillada Barcelona for my main dish, and this is the reason I'm rating them a 4 vs 5. This dish was not good at all. The waitress didn't ask me how i wanted my steak. It came out medium rare. I prefer medium. None of the meat was seasoned except for the sausage. Everything tasted like it was just cooked as is and placed on the plate. I try not to complain and send dishes back so I ate the sausage and took the rest to go and essentially threw it away. I was very disappointed in this dish. Our waitress was very nice and the experience overall was great but I will never order that dish again. read more

I came here for a group dinner (party of 8), and it was awesome. They have a great patio tucked back between a few buildings, so it's a great spot when the weather is nice. The atmosphere is very laid back, so don't expect this to be a quick dining experience. This is the type of place you have a few drinks and hang out for a few hours. We got a ton of food - some of my favorites were: whipped sheeps cheese, mussels, asparagus, and the paella. Barcelona is always a great time. Tonight was girls night catching up and I totally forgot to take pictures of a lot of the food that we ordered because I was just so in the conversation. What I love about Barcelona it's that it's tapas style and to know me is to know that I love ordering half of the menu and just sharing it lol I also really enjoy that everything comes out at random and just in time for the next dish. We got the gambas al ajillo had a little kick but was just as good as I remember it to be. Brussels sprouts were a little tooo char for my liking but still had a great flavor. The patatas bravas are always a must just get them you won't regret it! Today I tried the sweet potato (which I forgot to take a picture of) it came with a sauce and it all paired well together. As well as the albondigas very tender and flavorful. The entire staff is just always so attentive without be overbearing. 10/10 love this place read more

Barcelona is one of my go-to's! They have a great wine selection! So many tasty options and good cocktails as well. I enjoyed a night out with friends. We sat on the patio and it was perfect with the nice weather. They have $5 valet, which is great. I can't remember out waiters name (he was nice roo but his assistant was "Eddie like spaghetti" and he really left and impression! He was so personable and nice. I only give this 4 stars because to me the food is just decent. They're mainly tapas and small plates. The large plates take about 45 mins and they tell you that up front. Enjoyed a nice night out with friends at Barcelona Wine Bar. We ordered Patatas brava and Brussels for the table. The Brussels are a bit on the spicy side due to the red chili flakes just fyi. The arugula salad is tossed in this yummy lemony vinaigrette, I added chicken to mine for it to be more filling and I recommend doing the same, they also offered sautéd shrimp as an option as well. They have a very vast selection of wines to choose from as well, you can order by the bottle, glass or ask for a flight of half poured glasses. This place was great. A few years ago they served me a paella but it looked like fried rice. Today it was legit. Very tasty and flavorful. I had some friends with me and we had the charcuterie and it was delicious! The service was great and very efficient. My only concern was that the can of beer that I ordered had a long black hair on it but by the time the waitress showed up, the hair was gone. The ambiance is open and very spacious with lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Other than that, it was a great experience. read more

Service here is not good. Every time I hope it is better and it's not. We sit at the bar and come for happy hour but never get any attention or our drinks get ordered and we have to remind them. Beef tartar is on the happy hour menu it was divine! If you like tartar this is the one to get Potato's could've been cooked 30 seconds more but the sauce was nice Calamari can never go wrong with! The sauce they serve with it was also lovely Happy hour is great but you get basically a shot size cocktail and that's why you are paying less. Doesn't seem much of a happy hour since it's half price for half the size. Rather pay full price for a normal sized cocktail. read more

Barcelona is one of those rare spots in Atlanta that hits every single time. The food is consistently great, no surprises, no off nights, just reliable quality that keeps you coming back. I find myself there about once every two months because it's one of the few places with a kitchen running strong until midnight, and when you need a late bite that still tastes like someone actually cared, this is the move. Barcelona is a gorgeously lively seaside city in Spain that is synonymous with one thing: tapas. And while the experience of Barcelona in West Midtown may not quite transport guests to that sunny moment, it is nonetheless a great spot. The original location in Inman Park is somewhat of an Atlanta institution as it was one of the first successful Spanish restaurants in the city, alongside Iberian Pig. The special of wines here on Mondays is phenomenal, as there are plenty cool bottles to try for half price. The tapas at Barcelona are always incredibly solid and the kitchen has excelled every time across dozens of visits. Papas Bravas, Albondigas and Garlic Mishrooms are always consistent favorites. Service can be a bit hit or miss, but generally good, while interior maintains to the industrial theme present across much of West Midtown. The patio also has some great seating near the fireplace, yet the other side of the patio and parts of the interior face the parking lot, thus creating a somewhat unsightly space. Why Oku and Barcelona owners have not gotten together to convert this ugly parking lot into a park is an oddity. It would be one of the best patios in the city! And now with plentiful parking decks in the area, this could be a wonderful opportunity for the business. Nobody wants to sit surrounded by refurbished warehouses and concrete, which is sadly the reality of West Midtown today. Regardless of the potential, Barcelona is a solid spot with reliable food and consistent quality where many locals return to over and over. read more

Great tapas place in west midtown. This is a very classy date/double date spot. Plenty of valet parking g (only $5). We had made a reservation, we heard it's impossible to get a walk in on the weekends. We had the option to choose between a table and a booth. We did the table. It was fabulous, we got a bunch of tapas , everything tasted amazing. I got the rose, Cabernet. It paired well. My favorite item on the table was the grilled lamb. The service was good. I came to Barcelona Wine Bar to celebrate a birthday and unfortunately it turned into a really disappointing experience. We had a reservation for 8:15 PM and arrived around 8:50 PM. Our table was #44 and our waitress was Khalia. The service was extremely slow and unorganized. The biggest issue was that I ordered three plates but only received one. Everyone else at the table had their food while I was still waiting, and the other two plates I ordered never came. There was no real explanation given. For a birthday dinner, that was really frustrating and honestly embarrassing. A night that was supposed to be special ended up being disappointing. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

4.5 stars for the food and service. 0.5 extra for being less than 20min walk from Georgia Tech! I have been visiting this spot regularly since I found it this year. The restaurant had very similar menu and vibe to the one in Inman Park. I have been to both restaurants for 5 times. In this review I would like to focus on the difference between them. First thing is the food. While they share the same entree, the taps are different -- in Inman Park you get the trout, while in West Midtown you get salmon; in Inman park you get the mussels with salsa Diablo, while in West Midtown you get the mussles with sofrito. Because of these unique, delicious dishes, sometimes it is really difficult for me to decide which branch to go to. Second thing is the service. I feel like the service there is better than the one in Inman Park. Not only did my food came out in reasonable amount of time, but the servers were also more attentive and friendly. The paella only took less than 40min to make, while it took me an hour to get my paella in the Inman Park branch. I met the manager once and he remembered me next time I visited there. The restaurant is perfect for self-dining. I will definitely return to try their new seasonal dishes -- or those "classical ones" like chicken thigh with Aji Amarillo. read more

Keeping it simple, this Barcelona location is okay. It's in West Midtown, so you know the grid there is a nightmare. Uber drivers can't even reach the front door because it's tucked back in "Iron Works." Worth mentioning, but not a huge deal. The restaurant was really packed and it's not that big. I wasn't much of a fan of the menu either. I'm more of an Eclipse Di Luna guy. Every time I've been to Barcelona before, I've left unpleased and still hungry. I am just not pleased with their tapas selection! Same goes for another tapas restaurant named Bulla, which really misses the mark, but I'd still put Barcelona ahead of Bulla. My bill ended up being $140, and honestly, the spread felt like a glorified Lunchable. It didn't really feel worth the price. The staff was friendly and attentive, giving A+ service. We were referred to Barcelona for food by the margarita bar across the way. And we were so glad we did! We love vegetarian food, and there was an abundant amount of choices of tapas. Our favorite was the eggplant dish. It was savory and we ate it with the bread, the veggie frittata, crisps from the hummus plate - it went with everything! Coming in second is the beef empanadas. The beef was tasty and flavorful and the sauce enhanced the flavor. The frittata with the crema was moist and delicious. We also ordered arugula salad, calamari, and goat cheese board. We also ordered mimosas and wine flight, all of which were delicious. We had a lot of dishes and it was incredibly reasonable at $100, including drinks. I'm from the west coast and no doubt this would have cost twice as much at home. We had excellent service, from the person who seated us, to the servers who checked in to see if we needed anything throughout the meal, along with our main server, Jaylah, who was attentive and provided prompt service. I first want to state the only reason I am giving this rescue any a two is because of the food. The waitress Sheri was a disaster. She totally ruined my friend's birthday dinner. She purposely did not inform our table that the restaurant had their own birthday celebration at all. It wasn't until my friend (the birthday girl) was explaining to the manager about her service that we saw that the restaurant had a great bday celebration. Not only did she not tell my friend happy birthday, she purposely slipped to the back during the birthday celebration THAT WE HAD TO ASK FOR. Also, when myself another guest at the table asked for another tapa, she instantly got irritated while typing in our order. It was if we were a burden because we anted to order more food. Lastly , when everyone at the table ordered a medium well , she came to me last with an attitude and stated "oh you want your steak medium well too". I stated no, I wanted medium. This was a small little pizza place in a strip center near Kroger's. I really like the pizza. It was very thin crusted and the flavor was very good especially the sauce really made the difference in the taste of the pizza and one thing I didn't notice. Is that Uber drivers Were in and out of that place every five seconds and even lining up to pick pizzas up in pasta and different types of Italian meals that's definitely a good indicator that this place is a good place to eat pizza and I really enjoyed it given a five stars. read more

I have tried other tapas restaurants before and I had always wanted to try Barcelona since my friends have spoken about it. I felt the portions were very small and it didn't taste that good. I ordered the steak and it was very dry, I was disappointed. I also ordered the grilled lamb, which was also dry. The potatoes and carrots were good though. The paella was also good as well. Calamari was okay. The service here was horrible. Once the server took our orders, we rarely saw her after that. We received our food and if we needed something, we weren't able to catch our server. We ended up having to get the manager to help us. We also wanted to order desserts and waited for about 30 minutes and our server never came by. We had to get the manager again to put in our order of desserts. Again, it happened with the bill. We waited, never saw our server and asked the manager for our bill. Overall, I would just go somewhere else to get tapas. I heard the drinks were good here and it's a great place to socialize and maybe that's all this place is good for..
