    Flying Dirty pizza

Service was good, you have to order at the rail and the staff is friendly. The beer was pretty solid too. But the pizza was sad. This is a classic case of the menu description not living up to what it says. Two personal pans and very little toppings and very little flavor. They have a nice setup back there and with a little more care or actually executing what the description states could go far to make it good. Conclusion: come for beer and vibes.

I've heard about this place for at least 8 years and finally was able to go. I loved the general aeronautical/military theme inside. The beer was good, I really enjoyed Wings.

Despite having visited Flight Deck during their first year in operation in 2017 I never have wrote a review. They have come a long way and look different in 2025 while still having a good amount of charm and uniqueness it had back then. As you could imagine by the name and the fact they opened in a former Naval Air Station they go heavy on the plane theme. Beer names especially and they offer a good variety of beer styles and have non-beer options for those not interested as well. I have enjoyed every visit including my many visits over the years here. The best time to visit is during the summer or at least nicer weather to fully enjoy their outside space. Arguably the best addition since their opening has been their food program. Think wood fire pizza and some other non-pizza offerings. My wife and I have had their pizza in the past and very much enjoyed it. This time though my wife got their Italian on Focaccia and I got one of their Chicken Bacon Ceasar sandwiches. Instead of typical bread it used a folded pizza dough and both our dishes tasted phenomenal. If you visit trying their food is a must, do not skip on it! Beer wise today we sampled four beers new to us. I got Wings their NEIPA & Vuelo Nocturno Mexican Lager while my wife got their Plane Beer American Lager and the Krösswind Kölsch. We enjoyed all four of them and we were glad to have found so many on tap we had yet to try! Flight Deck may not be an immediate thought when you think of Maine Breweries but they deserve recognition. Offering a well rounded variety of beers and other drinks along with some great food in a unique inviting space! Add it to your brewery bucket list!

Only my second time at The Flight Deck and it was wonderful again! I came in with 4 other people around 4:00pm on Sunday 3/16/25. We all ordered our own beers and the 2 people pouring were great! I was having a hard time deciding which IPA to get - they have 4! And the person helping me was knowledgeable and very helpful. A few of us wanted merch and the person was so kind and patient while we tried a couple things on, asked about other things and kept them from taking orders. We were hurrying, but we never felt rushed. Beer is great, atmosphere is awesome. Small space but so light and bright! Highly recommend!

Great atmosphere, lots of young families! They seem to be very popular. We liked beers that we chose. They have a limited menu but good food. We'd definitely go back!

My daughter was home from grad school for the holidays so I took her here to have a drink to celebrate since we both love their products. I must say I removed a star from my previous review because of the peculiar "cleaning" going on during the height of service. Patrons enter through the brewing area which is generally cool to look at, but this time they were washing down the equipment. I understand that sanitation is important but it made the whole establishment very humid with a smell similar to a janitors mop bucket. Additionally, since the floors are concrete, the water ran out into the main seating area. Not sure why this business would do this while the place was busy with customers. The people seated at tables near us made similar comments as they had to trudge through standing water as well. I hope this was a one off experience because it certainly distracted from their otherwise excellent brews.

Inside tables, but most were sitting outside on picnic tables.

Stopped in, because I noticed all the people coming and going. Neat concept for a brewery, and a fun place to hang out. Seems that a lot of people were stopping here on a Friday night after work, getting together with friends and coworkers. Actually, there were planes parked at nearby hangars. Beer was good and refreshing, but the food menu was pretty limited, mainly serving pizzas with some additional bar snacks. Got the broccomole dip with chips. Also, there was entertainment that night, a singer and guitar accompaniment, playing oldies.

Outside. Loved these little huts to keep us out of the rain.

We needed a spot to stop in on our trek towards Acadia. I saw that Flight Deck had good ratings and we decided to stop in. The location is right near an airport so very on theme with Top Gun vibes. I was a big fan of the fact that you could pay for a veteran's beer. My friend and I are both daugthers of veterans so this was a sweet thing to see. They did not do beer flights (missed opportunity lol). However, they had an option to do half pours. As an indecisive beer drinker, I chose to do two half pours. We walked up to the counter and sampled a few beers before placing our order. The service was very friendly and they answered all our questions. We sat inside to begin with as it was raining, but our party of 5 felt a little cramped so we decided to move outside. There were these cute little huts that had a covering, lights, and a heater over a picnic table. These were perfect for our group to drink and play games. We hung out here for a few hours and had a blast!

    Yummy cheese pizza!

Beer & Pizza....what more could you want? Flight Deck Brewing wood fired pizzas. Dog friendly place. This is in a separate covered area but pizzas can be eaten throughout. Inside brewery, outside, to go. You will receive a text when ready. They now have an estimated wait time color coding chart. Gluten free crust option. Breadstick pizza was my fave. If you have an electric car they have two free charging stations.

Welcomed by the owner and found some yummy beer options. My sister was visiting and she isn't a beer drinker at all but tired (and liked!) the fruity spritz - it is frankly a great option to serve in a brew pub. I had the Oyster Lager - dark but not heavy tasting. Wayne went for their1856 Lager and my brother in law opted for the Champs Lager. All good - and bonus - Dog Haus was the food truck so we enjoyed the following: Wayne had the House Dog with sauerkraut, mustard, grilled onions & celery salt. I had the same but with caramelized onions instead and no sauerkraut. Bill totally enjoyed the OG dog, with maple mustard & curry ketchup, They also allow you to substitute a red snapper (you know, a traditional Maine dog!) for the beef one. All in all it was a great afternoon, sitting in the doors of the brewery, chatting and enjoying hot dogs and beer!

Today marked the first time I have revisited since way back in February of 2019. At that point they had only been open since October 2018. Hard to remember just how much the space had changed but it is still small but not meant in a negative way at all. It's a small but inviting and well decorated space. Plenty of as you would expect Pug pictures and decor, so very cute! I appreciate that they take risks with more unique beer offerings. Including their flagship THAI.P.A that uses ginger and lemongrass and they rotate different flavors into it. Jasmine and hibiscus beers and more. More traditionally they offer a kolsch as well. They also have bottles to go and offer growler (aptly named pug jugs) to go as well. If you can't decide their smaller pours are perfect to sample multiple brews. This visit my wife enjoyed their fruited sour Druidcraft and I got their smoked lager Camp Wood 4 Sale. Both tasty and well made. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders will help find the perfect beer for you and make you feel welcome in their space. Also although we did not partake this particular weekend they were offering Christmas ornament painting, a great little craft activity! A smaller sized brewery that deserves support and is worth checking out!

Service has always been consistently great. Friendly, prompt, detail oriented and caring about our experience. We have never had a bad interaction with any of the staff members. They are hardworking customer focused team. Good with children and elderly folks. The food has been consistently good, temperature, quantity, flavors, textures and presentation. We have tried their burgers, pizza, bowls and appetizers. We really like their brussels sprouts, including our 3 and 6 year old family members. There's a wonderful sweet savory flavor, a nice crisp to the outside and very tender inside. The burgers and fries are very satisfying and flavorful. Most recently I discovered (realized) you can add mac and cheese to a burger. It was yummm!!! The wings, are plentiful, crispy and juicy. Be careful, because the internal temperature is VERY HOT when they first arrive. The past few times we have been the restaurant was very comfortable, not too cold or too hot. They have the ability to accommodate the 6 of us with ease on the times we have gone. This is definitely one of the core options when we are in town. Great for our whole family.
