    Alfredo spinach pizza
    Kathy W.

Met some friends here for pizza. Clearly, this is a restaurant designed for take-out because we were four people and got the only table big enough to seat four in this tiny storefront. We ordered two pizzas. My choice was the meat lovers and it was tasty, with fluffy crust, lots of meat, and a good amount of cheese. Our friends ordered an Alfredo pizza and added spinach and garlic -- and the 14" pizza was almost $40. Pretty steep for a pizza, although it was tasty. We also got some garlic bread and that was the highlight of the meal -- plenty of garlic on crispy, buttery toast. Yum! I don't know if I'll be back soon, but if I am, I'm getting the garlic bread!

Such a great place for a slice or Italian specialties. The pizza is a really really good foldable NY slice. The staff is great, very attentive and kind.

This deep-dish pizza (with sausage) came out great! Delicious crust and red sauce. It comes un-cut so make sure you have a sharp knife or pizza cutter. Also, the Italian Chopped Salad is possibly my favorite in the galaxy!

Picked up some dinner a few nights back and absolutely loved it. The staff was absolutely friendly and eager to help with any questions that we had and the place was super clean. Got the margarita, pizza and the meat lovers pizza, both traditional New York stout thin crust. Crisp and flaky, but soft enough to bend and pick up. Was zesty and fresh. All the ingredients were top-notch. Also got the mozzarella sticks and garlic bread. Huge fans of garlic bread and they did this one. Extra buttery with chunks of garlic. Definitely picking this up again next time we're in the area.

Too Good to Go deal, $6
    Jaime R.

Flintridge Pizza Kitchen in La Cañada offers solid New York-style pizza. I grabbed a great deal from Too Good to Go--3 slices for $6. One slice was Hawaiian with pineapples, which wasn't to my taste, but the rest was good. The staff was friendly and fast, though the small dining area is more designed for takeout than dine-in. They also have daily specials Monday through Thursday, adding even more value. Overall, it's what you'd expect from a pizza place--great value and tasty pizza!

4 stars Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I picked up a house salad, slice of cheese pizza, and a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was good and I will be back to try other pizzas and dishes. Their happy hour and lunch specials look amazing. Service was quick and friendly. Small on-site parking, but be careful, it is easy to miss the driveway in. This is a casual eatery with only a few tables, so it's not the best for large crowds.

I recently went in and ordered a Philly cheesesteak over the counter. I waited patiently, tipped well, and about 20 minutes later an employee looked me directly in the eye, handed me a sandwich, and told me my order was ready. I got home, opened the sandwich, and found a turkey sandwich. Completely different order. I immediately called the store and explained what happened. Instead of an apology, I was told I needed to bring the sandwich back and that the entire sandwich needed to be there. Of course the entire sandwich was there. I hadn't touched it. I was also told they would start making my correct sandwich while I drove back. When I returned, the person I spoke with, who appeared to be a supervisor, manager, or owner, told me, "You must have taken the wrong sandwich." No. Your employee handed me the wrong sandwich and told me it was mine. When I explained that, the response was essentially, "Well, I was on break, so I don't know." That attitude bothered me far more than the original mistake. Mistakes happen. Handing someone the wrong sandwich is an easy mistake to forgive. What isn't so easy to overlook is treating the customer as though the mistake was somehow their fault, requiring them to drive all the way back, and showing virtually no apology or concern for wasting their time. Then came the replacement sandwich. The original cheesesteak I watched them prepare went through the pizza oven. The replacement did not. They also used American cheese instead of the cheese I ordered, and the sandwich was noticeably underbuilt, with very little meat, as shown in my photo. After the interaction I had just experienced, it was difficult not to view the replacement as passive-aggressive. What should have been simple was, "We're sorry. We handed you the wrong sandwich. We'll make this right." Instead, I felt accused, inconvenienced, and then handed a lesser sandwich as though they were doing me a favor. I've been coming here since the previous owners, going back to the late 1980s. Unfortunately, this also isn't the first time recently that I've received substandard service or a substandard product. At some point you have to stop judging a place by what it used to be and judge it by what it is today. For me, this experience did exactly that. I'd keep the photo of the underbuilt cheesesteak attached. It supports the part of the review people might otherwise dismiss as subjective.

We showed up and the infamous elderly woman with a walker was working the cash register. We asked for a bbq roast beef sandwich with chopped pepperoncini (the menu lists available sides and condiments, this was one). The old woman shook her head no and wagged her finger at us. We tried to push back and request the peppers, and it seemed that she wrote down our specification. We the asked for a Reuben with horseradish added (again, available on the menu). The woman made a disgusted face, wagged her finger in our face again, and told us no. At this point a gentleman from the back let us know that they would be able to accommodate our request, and the woman again appeared to write something down. We ordered a pastrami sandwich, add pickles. Again, finger wag. At this point we were told pickles will come on the side. Ok, understandable. Get me out of here. Ordered two more sandwiches with no specifications because we didn't feel like being berated again. Now the credit card transaction: Woman didn't understand how to handle the transaction, again the gentleman from the back had to explain to her that she can tap the card on the machine. After 20 minutes we received our food with absolutely zero modifications and no explanation. I guess she was faking writing down what we would like. Honestly, the worst part was the sandwiches weren't even great. For such a highly rated place, my entire team was disappointed with our orders. We could've made better at home with a normal amount of effort. Not worth the time, hassle, or attitude. Will not return, and left a bad taste in our mouths for the local businesses. For a town recovering from a disaster, you sure aren't friendly.
