Love the food here! always coming during my lunch and I've loved it everytime! Pizza, mozzarella sticks & garlic knots are the best!

I guess I haven't been to old Pas in a while so when I was in the area to do some shopping, I stopped in here to grab a bite. I saw that they have a bunch of pizzas and sandwiches on the menu and while I love pizza, I just had pizza the day before so I decided to try their sandwiches. The person who helped me was pretty no nonsense and efficient, I guess this is what it feels like if you are actually in Brooklyn? lol There are a variety of lunch specials daily from 11 am - 4 pm, and happy hour with $3 draft beers from 3 pm - 7 pm. PIzza options look really good, whole round pies are 18", 8 slices, and are all about $30. Square pizzas are also about $30 for 8 slices. I ordered the Cajun Bridge sandwich (cold) because I like all things spicy, and I love squaw bread, so this one was calling my name. So glad I did because it was so good and hit the spot! There are two entrances into the restaurant. The counter to order, as well as restrooms, requires you to go down a level, but the left entrance has a lift if you need in order to go down. read more

I'm always down to try some new pizza spots and Brooklyn Square satisfied my pizza craving! Huge plus for selling ready made slices. It's always great to see pizza spots offering slices to go or slices to enjoy inside. The location on Fair Oaks in the busy streets of Old Town Pasadena. Parking garages are all nearby or street parking around the building. The location has a number of tables and TVs to enjoy the games. The staff here were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. There were an abundance of ready made slices to select. Per the staff, they have vegan cheese options for whole pizzas, but none for ready made slices. Just as an FYI. They also offer a number of sandwiches as well. The number of items is vast and of great variety. Now for the pizza. The selection was a mix NY slices and square slices. I was looking for some to go. So I decided on the squares cause I love those slices! I went with Pepperoni Grandma and a Pepperoni Honey DeNiro. The staff will heat it up for you on the oven and even cut slices in half to enjoy them. I loved the flavors and the crisp edges. It had a great crunch in each bite and taste was solid. My favorite of the too was the Pepperoni Honey DeNiro. The hot honey on this slice made this option stand out to me. The mix of sweet and savory paired with heat is my kind of combo of flavor. :) I would come back again if I'm craving pizza and would think of the trying a sandwich too in the future because their menu looked good. The place looked cute with its black and white themed design. They have a wide array of options from pizzas and sandwiches. Was craving pizza and tried their Honey De Niro pie. They warmed it up before serving and added drizzle of honey. It was kind of the server to bring me some to-go boxes after I got up to change tables. A slice of one pie was bigger than expected, but well worth the price. Although the flavor was lacking for me not sure what it is with the tomato sauce but it was pretty bland. The dollops of cheese on top though saved the pizza, not sure if it's ricotta or something else. Overall taste of this pizza didn't meet my expectations but do appreciate the size to price ratio. Got their vodka round pie and it was huge and so tasty!! They had accidentally gotten our order wrong so we ended up with half of an eggplant parm pizza as well which i surprisingly liked even though i don't care for eggplant. Would def check out if you're in Pasadena! read more

Came by the other day craving pizza and wanted to try something new. They have a good selection of slices and square pies, plus some sandwiches. I got a square Honey Dinero and a slice of margherita. The square was decent, cheesy with crispy edges, but I couldn't really taste much of the honey and it felt a little dry, could've used more sauce. The margherita slice was the winner for me. Crispy edges, gooey cheese, and a good balance of sauce. Next time I'd probably stick with the slices over the squares. I'm also curious to try their sandwiches since they use Boar's Head meats which is usually good quality. Overall a good spot if you're looking to switch it up. read more

4.5 stars Came last night around 8pm so there wasn't many single slice options available which was unfortunate. Single slice range from $5-6 & were huge! I love the ambiance, they have great music & they play sports on their large tv so it's a good vibe. Our favorite pizzas were the plain cheese pizza & the honey deniro pizza! I ordered the Meat Lovers grandma for pickup. There's not a good place to park just for pickup, you'd have to find adjacent street parking or park in the structure. I was with my bf so he got out while I waited on the street with emergency lights on. It took awhile and when he came out he said there was nobody around working so it took awhile to get service so that wasn't ideal. As for the pizza itself, thankfully it was still pretty hot by the time we got home. The toppings tasted fresh and they didn't skimp on them. I like a thick Detroit style crust or pan so for me it was delicious. Even my bf who prefers a thinner crust still really liked it. We always have to get pizza somewhere when we travel and when we walked by this place we had to check it out. They make pies (both NY & grandma) and sandwiches. This place gets a lot of food delivery orders so it can be a bit of a wait if there's a lot of orders that came before yours. I was looking for a good Italian sub and came across this place on IG. I ordered the Italian Bada Bing, some fried Ravioli, and a slice of spicy pepperoni pizza. The stand out here was the pizza. It was well balanced, had a crisp crust, and pepperoni were bomb. The ravioli were ok. And that sandwich wasn't great. I think the main issue with the sandwich was the cheese. I love cheese, but in this case it overpowered the sandwich. Every bite all you can taste is the cheese, and it made the sandwich not that enjoyable. I'll definitely come back and try some more pizza, and possibly a different sandwich. This place is in Old Town Pasadena, so you know parking is going to be a headache. read more

I don't know what they do differently from their pies, but their slices are excellent here. Sometimes the pies come out a little extra doughy, but these slices are the essence of what an east coast slice is. Crispy and thinner undercarriage, no flop, entire slice holds its integrity--all 3 for a little under $16. Honestly, for prices these days, that ain't too bad in my opinion. This is more of a 3.5 and I may upgrade it after visiting in person, as I've only gotten delivery. I'm from the northeast and have tasted a lot of NYC pizza, and theirs is pretty good! I like their unique combinations like the honey deniro. However, I would actually recommend their sandwiches over the pizza. They have some really tasty combinations and you can also make your own. They are PACKED with fillings so they're a good value for the money, which is rare nowadays! I especially like their honey mustard on anything. The slices are huge, as you can see from my photo which is half a slice. The pizza is a little thicker, but the flavors are something special. I always get extra honey, it just pairs so well with the sauce and cheese. The people who work here are fantastic too. They know our order and how we like it (extra honey) without us having to ask. The ingredients are fresh. I just don't find this to be something that I would crave when thinking about a deli sandwich. I tried the deniro pizza. I think it was misplabled as I thought I was getting pepperoni on it. A previous review mentioned a lot of bread or dough in the pizza. I would have to agree. It is flavorful but too much bread. 4 states for the food, 5 for the service, and maybe 2 for the limited seating inside. Brooklyn Square offers solid Detroit deep dish with generally interesting flavor combinations. The price per slice is about $6, seems high though slices are big. My favorite was the BBQ Chicken Pizza, robust flavor from both the bbq and ranch sauces, and I personally wanted more chicken and onions. Second favorite was the Pepperoni Honey DeNiro, a nice balance of sweet from honey, salty from pepperoni, creaminess from clumps of ricotta, a nice balance but one that does get slightly messy and sticky. Brooklyn Squares in Pasadena is hands down one of the best pizza spots around. The pizza is incredible, perfectly cooked with great flavor and quality ingredients in every bite. Their slice options are stacked, and you really can't go wrong, but the Buffalo + Ranch Chicken and the BBQ Chicken slices are easily the standouts. Both are packed with flavor and cooked just right. And the New York Ruben sandwich deserves its own spotlight. The pastrami is amazing, tender, flavorful, and piled high. It's the kind of sandwich you think about after you leave. DoorDash introduced us to Brooklyn Square and we've become fans, but today was super disappointing. Since we were in the area, we decided to pick up. The app said it would be a 30 minute wait with pick up ready at 7:14pm (no problem). We ordered a build your own square pie, garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, Caesar salad, black & white cookies, and cannolis. We got a call that the cannolis were out, so hopefully we got a refund. The order wasn't ready until 7:45pm and based on warmth, the garlic knots were made last (pizza and mozzarella sticks were cool by pick up). We're reheating food as I write this review. It's making me rethink takeout if they can't manage timing to keep everything warm warm (same experience that we had with DoorDash, but we thought it was the delivery person and not the restaurant). Cookies were a disappointment as well since I thought they were fresh and instead are packaged. The food is good and the restaurant is cute, but be prepared to reheat food for takeout. read more
