Came by to celebrate some birthdays during weekend brunch hours! During brunch the lunch menu is not available. Dog friendly, so we were able to have our well behaved dog sit outside with us. Bathrooms are decorated with dog designs. We shared some brunch items (panini and sausage egg dishes) plus some flat breads. We weren't able to get pasta as they were not on the brunch menu but they were kids pasta dishes available. Meals were filling and tasty.

Service: very nice and welcoming, the gentleman who served us was nice and professional. Very attentive. Food: our group ordered fettuccine pasta, the red and green pasta, steak and then the chicken entrees. We also ordered the appetizer bread with olives, minestrone soup, cheesecake and tiramisu. Our favorites were the bread appetizer with olives and the chicken entrée with the potatoes, and cheesecake if we had to choose one of each.

This review is for the deli and not the restaurant. I really wanted to like The Italian Deli Co, but sadly it missed the mark for me. I actually wanted to try their sandwich because it looked really good. Parking was a breeze (there's plenty of street parking) and since I was going to the deli, there was no wait. I have been really craving a good Italian sandwich, which I ordered, and a porchetta sandwich, which I thought looked good. The employee was super nice and brought out the sandwich pretty quickly. Experience at the restaurant was great so I had high hopes for the sandwich. Unfortunately the sandwich was just average. The sandwich was so dry, there were not enough condiments. I ended up putting some of my own. The deli meat was also slightly dry, making the sandwich not very tasty. Not sure if it's because I ordered the wrong thing? Also, I know restaurants are cutting costs in general because of the economy, but the sandwich was pretty small for what I paid for. Overall, pretty disappointed. I don't think I will be back since there are other sandwich places around.

Overall, I like the atmosphere of the place. It feels like I entered Italy. I think the food and ambiance reflect that as well. Judging by European food standards, the food wasn't overpowering. It felt like the spirit of Italy and its cuisine. Rather, ingredients were fresh and the flavor was not overpowering. The calamari was crisp and tender. The soup was okay, but I'm not sure if it was to my taste. It seems like it was some barley and it had some pieces of meat and a tomato-based soup. Overall, the food was good, but I think it was the total package of the environment and the ambiance of the place. The service was good and the staff was friendly. Definitely a gem in the neighborhood as they have cooking classes for kids and they can teach them some italian. Super cute.

I barely was able to make time before they stopped the parmesan wheel pasta and I'm very glad I was able to make it! It was a very nice dinner. The pasta was really good and definitely from other alfredo/white sauces. The salad was also really good and fresh. My server was amazing and such a nice guy. It was also a very cute place inside and outside too. I will say I do understand how the service can come off weird from the front desk because they had a confusion on their end about my reservation but she was very rude towards me until she realized it was their mistake. After that it was fixed and they were very nice but I get it.

@monicascozycravings for more I love this gem! We're big fans of Italian food, but we don't live close to many authentic spots, so I'm so glad we found this place. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it ended up being such a great experience. We had the carbonara and the Bolognese pasta, and both were absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and tasted really authentic. We also tried one of their desserts and a non-alcoholic beer, which was surprisingly really tasty. The service was great and made the whole experience even better. Overall, such a cozy spot with amazing food. We'll definitely be coming back! -@monicaerikaa TikTok

I finally had the opportunity to come back and try the food. I had reservations on a Saturday night. Our server was a charming young gentleman. They don't have a full bar but wine & beer are available, so I had a Hugo Spritz. It was refreshing & tasty. We were lucky that our reservations were at 6 pm, so we could partake in The Parmigiano Wheel Experience (daily from 5:30 - 7 pm). The dish is prepared at the center of the restaurant so all guests can get a view of the Cacio e Pepe being made to order and the delicious smell that fills the restaurant. At $24 it's a bargain, so we had that along with Linguine al Frutti di Mare ($31) and the Insalata Mista Stagionale $17. The Cacio e Pepe was Chef's Kiss! The Linguine was al dente, the sauce was delish, and the seafood was fresh. The salad was also incredibly good - mixed greens with California yellow peaches, caramelized pecans, crumbled goat cheese, & a pomegranate dressing. It was a special but should be on regular rotation. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu and it did not disappoint. A few weeks later I returned. Our server, Carlos, was fantastic! An absolute delight. This time we ordered: Fritto Misto ($22), Pane e Olio ($8), Insalata Mista Stagionale ($18), Spaghetti Al Limoncello (Special $38), Cacio e Pepe ($24), Chicken Parmigiana ($29), Ricotta Cheesecake Brûlée ($14), & Limoncello Cake. Everything was molto delizioso!

Great Italian food - pasta, pizza, entrees and sandwiches. To go deli area too. Full wine and bar. Street parking in the neighborhood. Gelato and dessert too!

We've now visited this Italian deli four times, and there's so much to love--especially the warm, inviting atmosphere. That said, the noise level inside has become a real drawback. It gets quite loud, and some acoustic paneling on the ceiling would make a big difference in softening the sound and improving the overall dining experience. On this visit, we arrived early and were greeted by (who I believe was) one of the owners. Unfortunately, the welcome felt a bit cold, which was disappointing. Hospitality matters, especially in a place you want to return to. Service was mixed. We had the same waiter we've had before--he's kind and well-meaning, though still a bit inexperienced. After ordering an appetizer and two glasses of wine, we also placed our dinner order. Typically, you expect a bit of pacing so you can enjoy each course--but both the appetizer and entrées arrived at the same time, which took away from the experience. As for the food, there were some highlights. My husband really enjoyed his meatballs and pasta. My chicken parmesan, however, was just okay--nothing special, which is a bit surprising for such a classic dish. Overall, we still appreciate the charm of this spot, but between the noise, service inconsistencies, and pacing, we'll likely take a little break before returning--which is a shame, because it has so much potential.

This restaurant is very cute and cozy, with a warm, welcoming ambiance. The service was great. The indoor and outdoor tables were clean and ready for occupancy. Our server was friendly and accommodating. He answered our questions about the menu and our food was served in a timely fashion. I ordered the calamari and the polpette, which comes with a side salad. The salad was fresh and flavorful, I liked it. The marinara dipping sauce that came with the calamari was watery and bland. I was hoping for a little tangy zest. Although the polpette were a generous size and cooked well, they lacked flavor and the Italian roll was a little tough to chew. The highlight of my dinner was the Panna Cotta for dessert, which was divine! I was excited to eat here, but I think I just ordered the wrong dishes. I love Italian food, and the menu items look promising. I'm open to trying it again.

The pasta and risotto were both delicious, but my favorite dish was the Brussels sprouts, so good and definitely a must-order! The service was excellent and very attentive.

A couple of months ago on a weeknight I made the last minute decision to celebrate my birthday here with my immediate family. I was able to make reservations for 10 the day before with no problems. Upon arrival, parking was easy to find on the street. I was greeted with such warmth and familiarity. They accommodated the kids choice of meals and constantly checked to make sure we were doing well. Carlos was are served and he was amazing! He made some delicious recommendations on meals and we all loved it so much. The food was absolutely flavorful. They presented me with a desert and sang happy birthday to me in Italian. The ambience of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful as well. You can choose to have a nice sit down dinner, visit the bar or just simply order something quick to go. I'll definitely be back and will continue to rave about the food, service and ambiance. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one!

Saw a video promoting The Italian Deli Co and their authentic Italian dishes and went online to make a reservation for Saturday. For a restaurant that recently opened, the staff was friendly but it looks like they are still getting used to the weekend rush. Some things were a bit hit or miss, for example, a few of the Yelp pictures and promotions posted are outdated. The Parmesan cheese wheel event, which was advertised for weekends, is actually only available on weekdays. I was a little disappointed since I had really been looking forward to trying it. Parking: There's free curbside parking available right outside the restaurant, which is super convenient. However, it can get packed during peak hours, so I recommend looking around the residential streets. Food: We started with some coffee, on the menu it seems that they use beans from Italy. The coffee came with a biscuit with refills. We ordered the Brussels Sprouts, which were decent, nothing too special, but it's always nice to have some greens. For our main dishes, we ordered the Pasta Carbonara and the Lasagna. The Carbonara was creamy and flavorful, with thick, al dente pasta. I personally liked the Lasagna, it was rich, hearty, saucy, and generously portioned. I couldn't even finish it so we took it home. For dessert, we tried the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake, which was light, smooth, and not overly sweet. Seeing some reviews, I would love to try the panna cotta next time. Ambiance and Service: The restaurant is bright, clean, and tastefully decorated with plants and warm lighting. The servers were nice and attentive, though really busy keeping up with the crowd. Overall: The Italian Deli Co shows a lot of promise. The food quality, welcoming atmosphere, and charming décor make it worth checking out for a special occasion. I'll definitely be coming back to try that Parmesan cheese wheel pasta!

I knew there was pizza but I wanted to know more about their sandwiches and salads. I found out that they do have daily / weekly specials that are a great value. I decided to order a special small Italian sausage pizza and an order of six nude chicken wings with ranch dip on the side. I sat down and waited for the order to be completed. There were a few people at some tables finishing up their lunch. While I was there the phone was constantly ringing with takeout orders. The walls had simple decorations that created a nice ambiance. When my order was called, I was given instructions on how to carry the bag as to not disturb the toppings and cheese on the pizza. As I walked, the smell of the fresh pizza and wings was enticing. The wings were just as I ordered. I enjoyed that they have not been overcooked. The wings were tender and moist. The ranch dressing dipping sauce was a great choice. If you don't love the Strong seafood flavors that this dish sometimes comes with. - whipped feta and bread: a classic go to appetizer at Italian restaurants, pretty good, but I wouldn't say any better than other restaurants that serve this - calamari: honestly would skip this. They only was nothing special and the calamari itself had standard batter. Nothing crazy. Whipped feta and bread

He always makes us laugh and smile and improves the entire experience. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does as a chef and puts his whole heart and soul into each dish. Jesse also is quick to answer any questions we have regarding the food, especially with how to reheat certain dishes at home later. The staff at Uovo is incredible and you can tell they want you to have the best experience. The environment has always been welcoming and kind. Further, the staff is extremely accommodating with any and all allergies/food restrictions. My mom is vegan and I'm vegetarian, and that has never been an issue at all. We've never left feeling bloated or sick once. If there is a long wait during the rush hours, their staff upfront is prompt and alerts you immediately when your table/seat at the bar is ready. Oftentimes, the wait they tell us is usually longer than what we end up actually waiting, so they're all very efficient.

The pasta was amazing, but what really stood out was how much thought went into each dish and how fun it was to try a variety of things we probably wouldn't have ordered on our own. A huge shoutout to Julianna, who took such great care of us all evening. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable without ever making us feel rushed. Her wine recommendations were spot on and paired perfectly with the food. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does and wants guests to have a great experience. I didn't even think to take pictures because I was too busy enjoying the meal, which probably says a lot! Between the food, the wine, and Julianna's wonderful service, it ended up being one of my favorite dining experiences in Pasadena. Can't wait to come back.

The menu had many delicious options, and we ended up splitting a cinnamon roll, shrimp Louie salad, BLT, and Quiche Pot Pie. First, let's get into the interior. Superduper cute and has many options for seating, including a sidewalk patio, back patio, and interior dining room. We sat in the dining room and it was comfortable... next time I would probably sit outside for a different scenery. Service was great. I have no complaints about that! It was efficient. The guy was polite and was around when we needed him. The food was delicious, but I really didn't think it was that innovative and thought it was a little bit on the expensive side for what it was (except for the cinnamon roll it was priced accordingly and so good hot!). The BLT was very average and I thought the bacon seemed a little old, good fries, but again it's not anything special. I expected more with the quiche pot pie, but it was really delicious and the endive salad was a nice accompaniment. We really enjoyed the shrimp Louie salad--very fresh and appreciated it was not doused in dressing. I had the garden Siesta cocktail and my friend had one of the spritz-- as a lightweight it did not do anything to me hahaha... All in all a nice leisurely meal, but the flavors and execution was not super memorable for the price point. No h8 though--would go again!
