Wow - this place was an unexpected hidden gem. The pizzas we got - Margherita and Buffalo Chicken - were absolutely delicious, thin but flavorful and filling, and just outright phenomenal. I get why they call it gourmet pizza in the restaurant's name now... Also, Eddo was so kind and gave us unsolicited top-notch service for small and big items at our table, and even got us water cups to go when we were packing up. Asides from the amazing pizza itself which I would have come back for, this place just became a neighborhood favorite for many years ahead! I have been ordering pizza and chicken wings from here for my mom for about two years, but I had never tried their pizza myself until today. I really liked the pizza, but the chicken wings were very disappointing. First of all, the menu does not clearly state that a 1/2 lb order of wings is only 4 pieces, not 6. If I had known it was only 4 pieces, I would have ordered 1 lb instead. The delivery was on time, and the delivery driver was very polite. I have tried this place twice and unfortunately I won't be coming back again. Their standard crust is a thin crust which is what we ordered. I will say they are not stingy with their toppings but the quality is not worth the price. They are extremely expensive and to be honest it's not great pizza. If I'm paying $25 or more for a pizza my expectations are high. This did not meet my expectations. Their wings were also underwhelming. Not crispy enough. I was in the mood for some pizza and dropped by today to get their famous chicken bbq pizza. We ended up ordering a small bbq chicken pizza and two slices of pizza (pepperoni, rockys mix) First of all the staff were very friendly. They answered all of our questions and were very helpful. The pizza was made quickly and the full pizza only took like 10 minutes to come out. The area also has a lot of seating so it's very convenient. Now on to the food The bbq chicken pizza has bbq as the sauce AND on top. Literally the best thing iv had in a while. The small size comes deep dish and is 6 slices. The pepperoni was cooked to perfection with a nice undercarriage so no flop or falling off. The rockys mix was also cooked nicely and the small pieces of meat really made it come together If you are in the area and want good food or go to GCC and want something quick and easily accessible with a car, this is the place to try out. I've been to spots in LA and paid $8-10 for mediocre mid pizza I love the area that it's in as well-it's nice to just unwind and sit back and enjoy some pizza. Hidden Gem Alert! A friend brought over two large pizzas from Rocky's and I can't believe I drive by daily without knowing about this place! This is the kind of "fast food" pizza that's rare to find these days--delicious, high-quality, and unforgettable. The dough is the real standout: perfectly flaky and flavorful, with none of that gooey or rubbery texture you get from other spots. It holds up beautifully to the toppings without being too heavy. Rocky's Gourmet (!) Pizza (RGP) is right next door to the Starbucks spin off, Bux fast Pick up. Both are in the Crossroads center across the street from Glendale City College: and as such they get a lot of college students (per Alex who kindly allowed me to snap his photo so i could file it with this review) in for a quick pizza fix. Since it is early in the day (10ish am on a Saturday_ i was able to get the lowdown from the owners son, Alex who personally helped me with my selection: a small Veggie pizza and a (yum) fountain diet Diet coke. As you all know if you have read any reviews of mine of Pizza joints: the crust is the THING. The crust here at RGP is very good not great. And not great because it badly needs salt. That's the negative. The positives: and there are quite a few. The crust is well baked via a Conveyer Oven at about 500 degrees which produces a finely crusty piece of dough with a slight yeasty taste...which is a good thing. RGC just piles on the toppings and did so with my Veggie Pizza: onions, various veggies, tomatoes as well as a good amount of cheese and a oreganoy sauce. The owners here are from Iran and made Pizza there so there is a slight slant towards Iran in their Pizzas. I can go with that especially when it produces such a good product. (though as i noted...salt in the crust is an issue). RGP also has a full menu of Sammies with bread from Porto's: a local bakery known for its primo baked goods. The toppings are impressive as they are plentiful and fresh. The physical plant is super clean as is the bathroom. The floor is so clean you could easily eat off if it. There is a small counter on which to eat plus a slew of tables outside which RGP shares with the other joints in this center. Service-wise: Alex is a nice, personable guy whose knowledge about what this unit produces... is first rate. Oh, by the way: they sell Pizza by the slice which you don't see very often and which is probably a plus when the college students come in looking for a quick meal.
