So, I guess don't go on Sundays because, "Girls just wanna have sun." Shop is closed midday on a Sunday because... no reason, really. Drive in from Ewa Beach. I'll just order online from the vendor.

Gotta say this store has a great selection of flip flops. We came in here to get some Rainbow flip flops and they had a good selection. This post is about the store but more about the customer service. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the different types. He told us what was good and bad about each brand. Coming in to the store we were already set on the rainbow flip flops but it was nice to hear the differences about the brands. Purchased the 2 pairs of Rainbow flip flops Hawaii addition with cash and left the store. Just as we were 3 stores away the salesperson came running out to tell me that I gave him an extra $20 bill by mistake. I thanked him for his honesty because we had just come from the beach and all the bills in my wallet were wet and stuck together because they were in the pocket of my swim trunks. Now a days it's not often you see an honest person give you back money if you overpaid by mistake. I'd like to give kudos to the salesperson and the store for hiring such a good and honest person. I just wish I got his name to post after his good deed.

Came here to get some sandals for my wife but found out that they are closed at 11:30am on a Saturday wit no posted hours.... wtf!!!??? Reading other reviews and this seems like a recurring theme here, might be a good store when open but don't make a special trip or you might just be disappointed!

Great selection! Ask if they have kamaaina discount

Located: International marketplace 2nd floor Parking: validated Selection: lots to choose from Prices: $ to $$$ Customer service: 5 star, Jesse My sons feet keep growing and while he loves his Crocs, he's getting a little too old for that. I like the selection here better than Island Sole across the street and I think their prices are slightly better. We saw some slippers with holes to drain the water, some orthotic-type rubber slippers, Havaiana, Reef, Fitflop, and soon to carry my fave Oofos. This place probably doesn't get much traffic because it's not on the restaurant floor and not on the ground floor...if IMP would validate for longer periods, I bet more people would shop after they eat...just a thought!

If you need Flip Flops, this is a great place for you! Really! How can you walk on the beautiful sand of Waikiki Beach with shoes on? You NEED to wade along the shore with bare feet and it's better to put your flip flops back on... rather than your socks... right? There used to be two Flip Flop Shops - one at Ala Moana and one on Kalakaua Avenue - but they both have closed. Thank goodness for this store on the 2nd level of International Market Place! This new shop has validated parking, is clean, bright, and has every style, color, and brand that you can imagine! The owner, Jesse (Size 8), will gladly assist you! He's so friendly and knowledgeable! I have his business card because I know my friend in California is looking for a certain brand and I think he has it! !!

I needed a new pair of good quality flip flops and found this shop as I browsed the International Market Place directory. Jesse was very helpful and knowledgeable about the various flip flop brands and styles. He suggested we try the OluKai brand. My husband and I bought the lifeguard approved OluKai flip flops, which were comfy with good support and traction for flip flops. They were worth the splurge as we used them during the rest of our vacation and will continue to use them over and over again. We even returned to get my sister-in-law a pair too. With 5 star friendly customer service, this place is great if you want or need flip flops.

Amazing customer service thanks to Jesse! I was looking for Olukai sandals for my sister and he was so helpful and patient. He was very approachable and had just a great personality all around. There's a good variety of slippers here for both men and women. I saw some here that you can't find on the mainland. Jesse knew his products very well and helped me find two great comfortable pairs. I also noticed he really went out of his way for his loyal customers. I'll for sure be back! Now I need to get myself a pair of Olukai slippers! Lol

This review is based solely on my experience with the staff during my visit today…read more I've shopped at Pink Box multiple times in the past and have never had any issues, which is why this experience was disappointing. My mom and I stopped in because she was looking for earrings. She had mentioned before that Pink Box has cute selections at reasonable prices, so we decided to browse. While she was looking at earrings and pointing out styles she liked, I was helping her look through them. For context, I don't even wear earrings since I have large gauges, so I wasn't shopping for myself in that section. Afterward, I moved over to the claw clips and was looking through some butterfly clips to see if they came in matching colors. A sales associate approached us and asked if we needed help. We politely said no thank you and continued browsing. What made us uncomfortable was that after that interaction, the employee remained very close to us and appeared to be watching us the entire time. When we moved to a different area, she followed. Whether intentional or not, it felt as though we were being monitored because she suspected we might steal something. My mom and I both noticed it, and it made the shopping experience uncomfortable. We are paying customers who have visited this store before and have never given anyone a reason to be suspicious of us. I understand that retail employees have a job to do, but there is a difference between being attentive and making customers feel like they're under surveillance. Unfortunately, because of that experience, we didn't feel welcome during our visit.

The whole store is made up of Hawaiian themed merchandise. There were jewelry, cards, body care items and tons of clothes. They have some really cute items. My friend purchased a set of plastic flower beads to string together to make a necklace. What caught my eye that I really wanted was the sunrise shell necklace. I've always wanted one. The shell has the pink and yellow colors on it to mimic the sunrise. I'm contemplating on getting it as I've wanted one for a while.

I went in and out of the dressing rooms a few times while trying on outfits, and none of them had a basket or spot for purses. Each time I had to hang my handbag on a hanger with the clothes, since I refuse to put my handbag on the dirty ground. Finally, the very last dressing room I tried did have a basket at the bottom, which was much better. The clothing and jewelry are adorable -- some even look handmade -- and I did buy a few outfits and a cute pair of earrings. Prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are unique and eye-catching, so if you're looking for something different, it might be worth it. Unfortunately, checkout brought the experience down. Since I didn't need a bag, the sales associate handed me my clothes directly, but forgot my earrings. I didn't notice until I was halfway home. I tried looking everywhere for a phone number -- Yelp, the Ala Moana directory, the internet -- and couldn't find one. The only number I found just rang with no answer. So instead of calling, I had no choice but to drive all the way back through traffic. When I arrived, the sales associate saw me, handed me the earring, and said she was "going to text me." No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience" -- nothing. Considering they have my number from the rewards program sign-up, that was disappointing. Overall, Sugar Sugar is a cute boutique with stylish pieces, but expect boutique pricing and limited dressing room amenities. The service could use improvement, especially when mistakes happen.

Shopping in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. My mom was on the hunt for Year of the Dragon shirts for my sister in Colorado, my nephew, and my nieces. We went to Walmart, Don Quijote, Dillingham Shirt Outlet, and Maunakea Street in Chinatown. She found shirts at Jessica's Jewelryand Gifts, but she didn't get a shirt for my nephew's girlfriend. In a panic, mom called me to go back to Jessica's. They were sold out. Only XL gray shirts were left. I entered Maunakea Marketplace, where I had dropped her off the other day, but she didn't walk far enough in... to get to YaFangShi Fashion. On the day before Lunar New Year, I saw many shirts of various colors and different designs hanging outside a shop! Inside, the clothes were neatly folded, and the dresses were hanging for better viewing. OMG... It was like t-shirt heaven! The shop was called YaFangShi Fashion. The friendly owner introduced herself and said that her name was Lian and that she's been here for 24 years! I had passed by often... and even bought a lavender-colored Cony umbrella, but didn't know the name of the shop. Looking around, Lian even had dresses, tops, jackets, footwear, accessories, and pants! I got a navy blue, medium-sized Year of the Dragon shirt for my nephew's girlfriend and gave it to mom to give to her on Lunar New Year. Everyone was happy! Yay! Happy Lunar New Year of the Wood Dragon!
