I gave him a deposit at the beginning to pay for the more expensive paint in which later I found out that he did not buy the more expensive paint he bought the contractor's grade paint. Then as I was trying to go over what was needing to be done what I noticed that still hadn't been done he kept on telling me don't worry about it that it'll get taken care of. So the day before we're supposed to move in his guys still needed to clean up and there was still some issues and Abiel asked me for the final payment and when I said the work's not completed he said don't worry my guys will be here tomorrow. His guys never showed and after moving into the house that was only 85% done by his company multiple text messages and voicemails I was ghosted by him. He comes off as a good guy but he's a scammer. His guys didn't finish the job and they left a huge mess for us to clean up. And now I had to pay for someone to fix what he didn't fix. Shame on him. He should be in jail for scamming people.

Veronica and Martin were supposed to meet us at 8 AM to begin work and they didn't arrive until after 2 PM. They didn't show up for 2 days after and when they did decide to show up they would work for a few hours and leave. It was excuse after excuse as to why they weren't working. Long story short, work took 2 full weeks to complete after essentially threatening to fire them. The work done is terrible and already starting to crack where repairs were supposed to have been made. They managed to rip off paint on walls that were supposed to have been covered during work and also mud was left all over our walls for us to clean up ourselves. Fixtures were not taken down and were mudded around sloppily. All of our lights are covered in paint and mud, again for us to clean up ourselves. If you want to be ripped off for sub par work at best, these are your guys. Otherwise, steer clear of Franco Drywall.

I have been working with Miel Construction for a little over the past year. After a great…read moreexperience renovating my home's master bathroom, I've had them back to handle a home office renovation as well as a powder room renovation thus far. To share a few thoughts: - My home has an odd layout, mixing open-concept with split-level, so rooms do not begin and end in conventional places. This leads to odd requests on projects (e.g. "paint half of this wall"). Miel has been extremely understanding of the house, which has helped me tackle projects in a way that works with my budget. - Texts during the week always have very timely responses, and work is stood behind in the event of a small goof here and there. - As someone who enjoys DIY projects and is very invested in the materials and design choices I make, Miel has been extremely accomodating to develop quotes where I provide various materials (door hardware, marble, etc.). That allows me to get exactly the look I want, without needing to be my own contactor. Five stars does not suggest that there has never been any mistakes ever. Small things are bound to happen here and there, just as I'm sure they would with any contractor. I do think I have a five star partnership with Miel, and when issues arise, I can count on them to be resolved in a reasonable manner. I look forward to more future projects with Miel.

RECODES completed a full bathroom remodel for us, including converting a tub into a shower and…read moreinstalling all new fixtures. I was told the work came with a two-year warranty. However, about six months later, I began noticing brown water and sludge seeping up from the bottom of the shower curb onto the bathroom floor. I contacted RECODES, and they came out to inspect the issue. They even removed and reinstalled the toilet to rule out a leak. After I had an independent plumber verify that the toilet was not the source of the problem, RECODES returned a second time and simply recaulked the shower with a bluish-tinted caulk. Unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue. More recently, I had two separate remodeling professionals inspect the shower. Both concluded that the shower pan was improperly installed and that the shower floor would need to be completely torn out and replaced at an estimated cost of around $3,000. In addition to the shower issue, the project was somewhat disorganized, with numerous different workers involved throughout the process, and they left a considerable mess along the side of our house. To be fair, the stairs, railing, and balcony they built still look great. However, the bathroom floor is now damaged, and brown sludge continues to seep up through the grout lines and cracks. Given the ongoing issues and the lack of a proper resolution, I unfortunately cannot recommend RECODES.

They worked with insurance company's adjuster and came up with a supplement. Construction contract had been signed and they will begin work shortly. He spent time giving us a thorough inspection and our estimate was in line (and more detailed) than other estimates we had gotten. It was the professionalism that had us choosing him. He took his own time (multiple times) to take me to Floor and Decor/Home Depot/Lowes to help me choose and transport all the materials I needed.
