Tried to help one of his customers get their refunded money back from Ever, and he just shouted at me on the phone: "no man, you put the F#€KING PICTURES UP!" and hung up on me. He subbed out his work to someone who screwed up the job, and then refused to refund the payment of $350, for several months. We needed to level the floor of an exercise room that had long ago been a third bay of the garage. It was significantly sloped and unsafe for lifting heavy weights. Ever was great to work with throughout the project. He wasn't just trying to do the bare minimum job, but was thinking proactively about moisture, longevity, and how to do the project right. After getting 4 bids, I felt like he offered the best quality for a good price. The project went well. Ever would communicate proactively with me about when they would be coming and how the progress was going. It all got done in a timely manner, and he even threw in painting the room for me for no extra towards the end. Overall the project included taking out the old rubber floor, scraping all the glue off the floor, adding the right kind of concrete and getting the floor just right, then sourcing and installing 3/4 in rubber flooring. His team also added protection from rain by the French windows, and installed my husband's gym equipment to the wall, and even thought to paint the 2x4 needed to make it structurally sound. Terrible communication throughout the renovation. We hired this company to do interior painting and was told the estimated time was 4 days. It took them a little over 5 days to complete with some minor touch ups that still needed to be done, which wasn't bad, and we still had good rapport. Then Ever convinced us to redo our floors with them as well with the expected completion time of 5-7 days. It took them 3+ weeks to finish. That means for almost 2 weeks we couldn't even live in our house and the remainder of the time we were tiptoeing around ripped up floor boards and unfinished paint. The workers didn't clean up before they left for the day and left food scraps all throughout the house. Halfway through, the owner went awol and did not reply to texts or calls. He sent one guy to essentially work on the whole flooring and some days he didn't even come at all because they didn't order enough material despite us already paying a deposit for them to buy the material. He promised that we didn't have to pay until the end once everything was complete, but during both the painting and flooring projects he wanted us to pay him half the price in cash before they were done. When we asked for receipts of payments, he kept making excuses to not provide the receipts. Not very professional. One good thing is that they were cheap but otherwise, for the inconvenience they've caused, it was not worth it. read more
