Very disappointing. It's a burger place primarily with more expensive burgers ($14 for just the burger - no sides) than the burgers at their Wheelhouse restaurant. Typically these restaurants have very good burgers that are worth the price. But not in this case. Medium rare wasn't an option, but we both chose pink and asked for as much pink as possible. Sadly, neither burger had any pink at all. They were way over cooked. The bun also fell apart for me, which made it annoying to eat. I opted not to finish the burger and instead eat the toppings and bun as a sandwich for some of my meal, since the burger was way too over cooked. The onion rings were good, so if we ever have to eat there again, we'll avoid the burgers. Perhaps I'd get onion rings and a milkshake instead. I definitely don't recommend the burgers unless you want one that's over cooked. It was also rivet for a restaurant where you order at the counter and don't have full wait service. Perfectly fine. A bit tricky to find in the Casino--where we were getting food before the chocolate, wine and whiskey festival--as there's no signage pointing to it unlike the other meal and drink options, and on the whole it didnt blow me away. Was accompanied to the meal and festival by a friend and she liked her burger. The fries got thumbs up from us and my pulled pork sandwhich was meh. I honeslty feel like they drowned it in whatever the "rivers sauce" is as Ididnt get much barbecue flavor on it. I also think they could've omitted the cheese. An okay burger joint and home of some really good, rich milkshakes. The burgers are average and the patty melt has been quite a dry, dry sandwich the last two times. Within Rivers casino, there is also Wheelhouse Grill and their patty melt is much better - the bread is grilled and crunchy plus the patty is more juicy. The fries are not bad if they are not salted. The thickness is between regular fries and shoestring. I typically request them without salt as I find that if you choose the flavored options (garlic and some other seasoning, I forget), they come out way too salty. If it is late night and a burger is your thing, Flipt is adequate. read more

First, the self-order kiosks are ridiculously unintuitive, and the slot to slide the players card is under the order screen and not visible unless you bend over at look up at the back of the screen. My wife's Flipt burger, Takeout, was burned and inedible. This is the third time we have had problems ordering or disappointed with the food. This is a last resort. If you must eat at the casino, I suggest a hot dog at one of the kiosks, or bring some snacks with you. Unbelievably bad experience, and don't get me started on the prices! I came here twice recently and both times I found the food to be tasty and filling. The first time I had flipt burger meal and the following time it was the fried fish. Both times I found the food to be very good. I also had their shake which I found to be too sweet, but I blame this more on me being notoriously picky with the sugar content in most dessert items. Otherwise their shakes are really good. My main reason for the rating is to give recognition for Zachary, one of the individuals working the previous Saturday night and who was the person who brought out our food. He came across as a very humble, sincere and nice dude, basically a gentleman. Bare in mind that Flipt isn't a 'fine dining' establishment. It is more like a place that, especially on a Saturday night, has a lot of people that just want to eat. This, I'd imagine would make a server's job more demanding since you don't know what mood people will be in. In any case, I just feel that the way he conducted himself and how pleasantly he treated us deserves recognition so I am providing it here in this review. I'm still a little surprised by the treatment I received Friday evening 7.29.2022. I went through the line, and ordered what I thought was a burger/fries/beer combo. The order expediter dropped off just a burger, and it was the wrong kind. I politely said that this wasn't what I ordered, and she immediately snapped back "Yes it is". After some back and forth, she took the burger back to see if there were "two orders with the same number" Eventually she brought back the correct burger, but no fries. When I inquired about the fries she said I didn't order them. When I pointed to the beer as evidence I had indeed ordered the combo, she insisted I needed to show the receipt. I didn't keep the receipt, because I only saw one and I signed that and gave it back. The burgers are OK, but very overpriced for what you get (frozen burger puck). I can't review the fries, because apparently I didn't order any. $25 for a frozen burger and a Miller Lite is a little steep in my opinion. My friend and I ate at Flipt before a concert earlier this week. It was busy for a Monday, but I'm guessing that's because of the concert. It's a small space, but it's light and airy in there and they have a good amount of seating for the size of the space. I grabbed a table while my friend ordered for us. I ordered the nachos, and my friend ordered the flipt burger, fries, and potato soup. Once she ordered, it did not take long for the food to be served. (I was impressed by how quickly orders were coming out- that's a plus!) I really liked my nachos- they were loaded with cheese, sour cream, jalepenos, and green onions. My friend enjoyed her burger and she really liked the soup. She didn't seem to have touched her fries really, so I'm not sure if she liked them or not. It can be difficult giving a fair review to an eatery so early in its life. Usually, recently-trained employees are scrambling to get things right, the kitchen staff can be in disarray, and, understandably, things are still... well, new. I don't think it helps that my past experience with in-casino dining has never been stellar - this is not a complaint limited to the Rivers Casino, but all gambling establishments I've had the misfortune of losing money at over the years. With all that out of the way, I'm excited to give Flipt another try in the future. Their menu is limited with the focus being on the burgers. Fortunately, the burgers are pretty good! Unfortunately, it's the supporting culinary cast that really fails to impress here. Let's start with the positives - Flipt offers a fairly comparable "craft burger" experience to some of the other guys in town. You have the option of several different patties including beef, turkey, and the still-impressive "impossible burger." For a couple of bucks you can add accoutrements such as bacon, grilled onions, and other burger mainstays. All of these options are JUST for their standard burger - they additionally feature "signature burgers" on the menu which range in everything from a patty melt to the Rivers' Pony (a burger served open-face on Texas toast). While they certainly don't offer quite as much variety as some of the other players in town, it's refreshing to see as many options as they do have. It's also worth noting that other sandwiches are present on the menu along with things such as chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks. I can't speak for the slew of non-burger items and signature burgers as I decided to try the flagship offering on my first visit. For the standard beef patty, you have two size options: half-pound and quarter-pound. While I got the larger of the two, someone else in our party got the smaller "Son of a Flipt" quarter-pound burger; with all the fixens in tow, it still seems quite large. The standard flipt burgers all come with something called "Rivers sauce." I thought it worked with the overall flavor of the sandwich, but it wasn't particularly memorable. The patty itself was seasoned very well - make no mistake that this is a step above what you can get with the clown or the king. For better or worse, the burger was the high point of our visit. The less that is said about their fries, the better. To sum them up in three words: wimpy, unseasoned, and greasy. I had a chocolate milkshake which was serviceable - again, better than what the fast food guys can offer, but still nothing amazing. I may be a bit spoiled, but it seems like a self-proclaimed "craft burger" joint in 2018 would offer more adventurous flavors or combinations - Flipt offers vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and one seasonal option. The seasonal option was listed as-such with no further description listed - I asked the gentleman who took our order and it was salted caramel currently, but I have no way of knowing how often they cycle through flavors or what's coming up. Finally, there is the wait. I'm trying to approach this with the fact in mind that Flipt only a few days before my visit, but wow, burgers and fries that take almost twenty minutes...?! My group actually arrived just before a large crowd when the restaurant was quite empty. I would hate to see how long the food took for those poor souls. I know each burger is cooked to order, but the wait seemed far to long given the final product we received. It may sound as if I'm being harsh, but as mentioned, I will be back for another taste. I'm well-aware of the chaos that can be present this early in a restaurants life-cycle. All in all, Flipt may not give the other local craft burger joints a run for their money, but it's a nice addition to the Rivers' Casino's dining options. read more

We visited the casino before a Steelers game when it was cold and rainy and decided to get food inside rather than trying to eat in the cold. We settled on Flipt because it was brand new and we wanted to try it out. The line was super long (1. Because of the Steelers game 2. Because it was a brand new place) I'd say the food was worth the wait. I had the blue burger with a turkey burger instead of beef. My dad had the breakfast burger and we split onion rings. The turkey was actually moist and very good and the onion rings were fried fresh and came out hot and crispy. I'd recommend this place, but expect a wait if you come on a busy day. read more

I ordered a burger at Flipt tonight, and it was inedible. The burger went to the trash after one bite. It was cooked to a level that no burger should ever get to. I would have rather eaten a piece of charcoal. Nevermind the extremely low quality, mass produced, unseasoned, frozen meat - which I was expecting - but at least put some level of effort into preparation. To make matters worse, it was certainly not freshly cooked, and likely sat in a warmer to remove any semblance of moisture. As a customer of Rivers since the beginning, the quality of food has fallen further and further down hill over the years. The 2 star rating that Flipt has on yelp is very generous. It's disrespectful to food and disrespectful to casino patrons to serve such an atrocity. Leave the hockey pucks to the sportsbook.
