This was our first time here but not our first time floating. We actually had the opportunity to float as a couple which was an AMAZING bonding experience. My fiancé planned this as part of our date night this week. We went on a Thursday afternoon (around 3:30) and it was pretty quiet. The aesthetic is beautiful and the staff friendly. I had a really good wellness day at Floatus. The attendant was very kind and mannerly. I did the sound bed which was amazing, wish I got the 60 minute session I felt my third eye vibrating and briefly fell asleep. I did a 60 minute float, facility was nice, clean and quiet. Then I did the robotic massage which was relaxing. I like that you can control the pressure. The robotic massage was way better than I anticipated. I had a relaxing day. read more

After a mess up with our first schedule, they called and stated hours had change and apologized for the mistake. They also rescheduled our float and gave complimentary sauna and cold plunge. The experience at the spa was great. Clean with access to plenty of towels, shampoo, soap, and lotion. They also have water/coffee/tea. Phil who helped us was friendly and excellent. After fixing the scheduling problem and getting to experience the spa I would definitely recommend for anyone or a couple looking to relax to give it a try. read more

This was a new and different way to relax. This place thinks of it all. They have a private relaxing soaking tub with lights and music. It cuts off after 15 mins so I started a Peloton meditation instead of the music but turned the lights in the tub on. When you get out they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The towels and robe make it easy to get dressed and undressed. I wore my swim suit because it was more comfortable and the receptionist didn't mind, though the website said naked. After I was done they have a room for tea, drinks, and snacks before you hit the road. Will definitely try this place again. read more

This was a really cool experience! I really felt relaxed and at peace when I was floating. My session was an hour and it was nice and quiet. There are buttons in the chamber where you can turn on music and lights and apparently later on, there will be bluetooth connectivity so that you can choose your own music. I brought my own swim cap and they provided ear plugs. I don't think I properly put on my cap because my hair ended up getting wet and definitely went home after that so that I could wash out the salt water. I am not claustrophobic but I thought once I closed the door to the chamber that I would feel weird but it's actually really spacious, so I felt comfortable. The owners were also really nice and provided me with a lot of information. Definitely want to come back once they have body sculpting to try it. read more

Surreal experience! I recommend everyone trying Floatus out. I walked in and was greeted by Ari. She didn't ask my name but I'm not mentioning that because I thought it was rude. It was actually super professional. She was really friendly and informative about the how they do things in floatus. 9.75/10 on the customer service. Let's start with the experience, we were given a surplus of robes, towels, and a really nice bag. (No, you can't keep any of it.) Ari gave us an extra time to get ready for the sauna so we booked it for 45 minutes but she gave us 10 or 15 to get ready for the sauna. You can use the sauna either completely naked or with a swimsuit on. The sauna had YouTube and other programs and we enjoyed some nice relaxing amapiano music. The sauna went up to 145 degrees. I think some gym saunas go up to 165 but I wasn't complaining because I still sweat like a pig. PLUS we were in there for 45 minutes. There was a shower right outside the sauna for when we were done. They had shampoo, soap and conditioner which seemed really high quality. They smelled good too. After the shower, we robed up and met with Ari who led us to the floating pools. Super cool experience honestly. You're given these kind of head cushions and you just lean back and float. So the floating pools are kind of in a hole in a wall. There's lights in the water and also star looking lights in the ceiling. There's also relaxing music. Now the way you float is because it's salt water which Ari told us. Now I know this might be common sense but it stings so bad if the water gets in your eyes. I was in the floating pool, blind looking for the door to get out and find a towel. Lol! You can control all the lights and music. One gripe that I do have with that specific room is that I can clearly hear either someone getting phone calls and emails and also someone talking while we were in the pool. I don't think it was floatus employees but wow, those walls must be paper thin. The persons voice was so clear, I thought Ari was talking to us. When entering the pool, youre given 15 minutes to get acclimated, kinda like the sauna. Once the 15 minutes is up, all the lights and music stop so it feels like you're floating in space. You do have buttons on the wall that will turn the lights back on though. The water was the perfect temperature. Ten minutes before your time is up, the music will start back up...now I wish I could kinda know how much time I have left because I just like being in the know but that's apart of the experience. It's comforting but no, you won't fall asleep. Once you leave, you'll shower again to wash all the salt water off. Again, they have good shampoo, soap and conditioner. They also had body lotion which was good. Also once your time is up, the pool will go through a big filtering process to clean out whatever. There's a powdering room if you need it after the second shower. They also had free snacks and beverages available. 9/10 experience. Can't really blame floatus for the paper thin walls to another establishment but I have to take a point off because the saltwater got in my eye. I wouldn't recommend goggles because with might be unlikely but it was fun all in all. read more

My girlfriends and I visited for a post Mother's day celebration and reconnect with each other. Overall I thought the experience was great the atmosphere was very relaxing. The sauna was amazing and the floatation was good. I was expecting a locker room for my belongings and more room to dress and do makeup. Also, while in the floating room I could still hear voices. So it was kinda hard to really relax. I would definitely come again but with less carry items now that I know what to expect. read more

Didn't know what to expect. I had never done float therapy before. Phil was great and made me feel right at home. I was excited about the experience but apprehensive, too. Floatus was easy to find at the Laurel Town Center, next door to the European Wax Center. The lobby is light, bright, and well-appointed. The spa is modern and very clean. The pod was more like a super-pod because it was tucked inside a sizable restroom that you have all to yourself. The pod was spacious vertically and horizontally. The water looks a lot deeper than it is, which resolved my fears about being in deep water in total darkness. It took a few minutes for me to relax because I live an over-stimulated life. But once I settled down and surrendered to the experience, I was able to relax. I opted for the aroma therapy float. The water temperature was perfect; I couldn't hear anything, which was a different experience, and when the lights descended, I was in total darkness. I could not remember ever having been in an environment where I could not see or hear anything. This was a truly unique experience that I think would be beneficial to everyone. I will be adding it to my self-care repertoire. read more
