The length of the repair/service was less than 45-minutes. While I appreciated the same-day service, 1-year warranty, and customer courtesy of the technician, the corporate overhead charges for under an hour of labor and less than $50 in retail parts are predatory and equate to an astronomical hourly rate. Even the technician told me I could fix this problem on my own and demonstrated how to fix it in the future. I have been a loyal customer with Robinson Plumbing and wanted to use them as a reputable local brand. I trusted the technician's expertise in a stressful moment, but looking into standard plumbing rates following the estimate, it is clear they have thrived on a lack of transparency with customers and overcharged people for 40 years (a reputable plumber the manager told me). The manager offered me a 5% discount for my troubles, which would have amounted to $40 off my $800 bill. I appreciated the gesture, but felt it was insulting and did not fairly resolve my concerns as a loyal customer. Robinson's secretive bundled pricing, extremely high inflation, and stubborn manager make it impossible for me to recommend their company to neighbors, friends, colleagues, or my family.

I was told they could send a service guy in SEVEN DAYS!! We had no heat and even with that information she was unmoved. I then called Air Anderson. They were able to send Mark to our rescue. He came that same morning and was able to do a temporary fix so we could have heat. Once the cold snap was over Air Anderson sent Jose to do a permanent fix. He was able to reroute a PVC pipe so that very few inches of the pipe were exposed to the outside (thus subject to freezing). When Dana's did the original install there was many feet of exposed pipe which did freeze and caused the furnace to fail. I've had them do quite a lot to my home over the last few months. they installed A/C, some…read moreelectrical outlets in my garage and then a 50A 220V circuit. I'd like to say it all went perfectly smooth but, that would be wrong. there were some hiccups along the way. the A/C didn't play nice with our furnace. they did get it working correctly but, it took an extra day or maybe 2... I don't really recall. communication was excellent through the process and in the end, we were very happy with the work. fast forward a month or so and I officially decided I had enough of not enough outlets in the garage. I got a quote for several things at once (my bad... got serious sticker shock) but, my wife when she guessed at the price was dead on the spot. we had some (not all) of that work done and it was excellent. seriously happy with all of it. next, we got a call from some kind of scheduler so we could get a few things done as part of the [free] contract that was given to us since we had the A/C put in. they came out, flushed the water heater, inspected under the house, faucets, toilets (fixed how one flushes because he was there) and made some recommendations. most of what he was suggesting was serious upsell and I wanted none of that. there were 2 things that I would have agreed to but, we haven't had that done yet. the first item was some leaking outdoor faucets. should be simple and straight forward repair. the other, our dishwasher can create a stinky drain as it is not properly vented. this is where it got weird. we've got custom ONE PIECE counter tops and the part of it that has the sink is L-shaped and pushing 30 Feet long. he wanted to drill it to add the baffle to the drain for the dishwasher. I wasn't comfortable with that really expensive counter top being drilled and asked for some kind of alternative. he refused stating that code stated it HAS to go through the countertop. hum... I need to look into it and see if that's accurate. there were some other little things along that adventure that I didn't appreciate but, not important enough to write it out in this really long review. lastly and most importantly is why they still got a 5-star review from me in spite of that [what felt to me like a disastrous] plumbing adventure. when the 220V circuit was added to my garage I wasn't happy in the least. I called them up, expressed my concern and they made time to come out and look and also to talk to me about it. Need to be really clear that the work was not done in any way that could be even remotely unsafe, that wasn't the problem. they listened to what I had to say, understood my position and then they took care of it right on the spot even though it required removing and redoing the whole job. I can seriously get behind a company that will stand behind their work in this fashion. you could say it was kind of the same thing when the A/C didn't initially work. they didn't give up, and now we've got good A/C.

Shady price artists. They charge wildly different prices depending on which "technician" comes to…read morevisit. I had the same 10min water filter swap done 3 separate times by Harts. One was $300, one $450, the next was $650. Their reasoning? The $650 guy had 5 more years "experience" than the technician who did it last time. And if he doesn't charge $650, he won't get paid or make money. Take that issue up with your boss, not the customer. Those new trucks, buildings, etc won't pay for themselves - hence their awfully inconsistent prices. If they're going to charge based on employee, not the job, then I'd rather take their lower experiences technicians. Their "membership" offers little to no value, you only get someone checking your systems and talking your ear off for 2 hours and you have to be available most of the time while they do it. Some of us have work to do. They're friendly but can you just do the checks and report back once it's all complete? I don't want to be pulled constantly and intermittently for 2 hours.

I gave him the option of picking the date and time, so as to fit his calendar and 7/25 in the mid to late morning was HIS choice...Perfect! Support local business. My Tuesday morning appointment came and went but without Kurt's. No phone call, message , nothing! Straight up NO SHOW! Early afternoon came and progressed into late afternoon and then, just before 4PM and 6 hours late, he did call to say "he wasn't coming. I'll try and re-schedule you in a couple of weeks." Kurt further said "I couldn't come out for your service today anyway since he had to empty my truck before 3PM. Kurt could have called earlier with "Sorry, this afternoon for sure, maybe later, just really backed up" or how about just a simple "cant' make it," but instead he simply pissed away my entire day, knowing he was overbooked and would not be keeping his own appointment A simple phone call early in the day would have saved all this grief...certainly NOT my definition of a Prompt, Reliable or Premier service. Kurt is a busy man and he clearly has far more business than he can handle. I do wish him success and a bright future but keep all this in mind if you're really looking for a reliable Septic Pumping/Service.
