Then she was sent to the AI voicemail- clearly dodging our calls. I finally had to call from a 3rd phone and they said they would overnight the part. Didn't happen. Two weeks and 3 calls later, they got the part, but charged us $532 where the part should have been under warranty. He said it was because he had to pay for the part that should have been free. If they had ordered the part to them in the first place that wouldn't have happened. I would have just gone with someone else, but the part had to be ordered by the company that ordered it apparently. They are having me send the payment to someone's home instead of an office. Clearly that's because they don't have one and why they didn't have the parts sent to them. Be wary!

Since it was the only restroom, when that happened, we would need assistance quickly. I came across Approved Plumbing using a Google search after all the other plumbers I called one day couldn't come and help us. Adam came over quickly and fixed the issue immediately, and in the several instances after that. He was always super quick and helpful. Then, after the pattern emerged of the toilet being the issue, he researched different types for us to replace it with so we could avoid having to call him to unclog it. With his help and working with our landlord, the old toilet was replaced and we haven't needed to call a plumber for it since. We'll make sure to keep calling Approved Plumbing for other plumbing needs as they arise, but it was wonderful to have someone who not only fixed the short term problem, but also worked with us on a long term solution that would ultimate save us money.

When I inquired about the price, the lady on the phone informed me that the reason was that even just the "replacement part itself usually costs in the $300 - $400 range". My heater is of a major brand and later I noticed that home depot sells the brand replacement part for my heater for about $10, which make me wonder whether we were taken advantage of.

Brian has saved us a few times from house leaks…read more The first time the main was cracked somewhere, pouring water into our driveway. Brian responded to our call for help very quickly, came out the same day and gave us a very reasonable bid (unlike the few other companies we called which asked for large emergency fees before coming out and didn't even have time to come out immediately - 24 - 48 hours out for a main leak!). Brian found where the leak was coming from after digging for a few hours, patched the main line, and installed a new main shut off (previously a wrench was required to toggle the water to the house), all for much less than other companies quoted over the phone. The second and most recent time Brian came out was to assess and fix a downstairs can light leaking water. Brian responded quickly and came out the same day we called. He quickly found the upstairs toilet seal was no longer viable, resealed the toilet, and cleaned out the leaky can light, again for a very reasonable price. Brian is a great plumber and I highly recommend him and his team. Thanks so much, Brian!

I…read moreread the other Yelp reviews about his many problems, but I thought, a leaky toilet is a relatively small job, (fixing a leaking toilet is like Plumbing 101 right?). Sam seems so friendly at first--and he convinced me he knew what he was doing. But, $350 later, my toilets were not fixed at all. Sam agreed to come over to re-fix and actually did stop by again to state that he knew what he needed to do, and that he would order more parts and fix the toilets. But, since then, I have not been able to reach him. I have called and emailed him at least once a day for a month. I even used different phone numbers--but he did not answer his phone or emails--ever. It is also important to know that Sam is not verified by the state to do plumbing work. Like TM said, this can be verified by going to the state website (https://secure.lni.wa.gov/verify/) and typing in "Green T." I have also posted a screenshot from the website.

Many business don't care about that stuff, but he obviously wants to better his business by being upfront and owning up to dropping the ball.
