Had such a positive experience here. My husband and I went in to purchase tiles for our backsplash. First we had to return some tiles, and the gentleman at the counter handled it with courtesy and a smile. When we went to purchase our new tiles, Amry took great care of us. She told us how much we needed and put it right in our cart, then helped us pick out accessories. When we noticed a discrepancy in the price, she called a manager who came right over to help us. Chuck was able to resolve our problem right on the spot! Amry then proceeded to help us through checkout and even helped us out to our car. Definitely a great place to shop! read more

I came about an hour and half to this location to get the rest of the pieces I needed more my back splash. I called ahead of time to ensure they had it in stock and they had it waiting for me. Super helpful associates and an overall great store. Every type of tile you can imagine. A home renovators paradise! I am a contractor and deal with this store quite a bit, My trailer was loaded with around $3000 worth of tile by mistake and as a nice guy I noticed this the next day and called to say we are returning this tile. One would think the manager would have at least had the common curtesy to say thank you! But no nothing. They also tried to load 30 extra boxes of tile a few weeks prior and was stopped. Everyone there are helpful and nice. The GM manager on the other hand needs a lesson in management. read more

Great selection of all types of flooring. Awesome prices, you'd have a hard time beating them. Staff is helpful, and certainly not pushy. Only thing that is a drag is it may be a little bit far depending on if you live in Clearwater/Tampa, but definitely worth the trip if you're doing some flooring purchases. read more

This is a great flooring store. This place is sort of like home depot if home depot sold nothing but flooring. The selection is amazing. And their prices are good. Long story short, bought a house, 1 week later the refrigerator leaked damaging 600 square feet of brand new wood floor. There was tile in a laundry room that attached to the damaged area of the floor so we decided to tile everything that was damaged instead of putting down more wood. Floor decor was actually able to match up the laundry room tile from photos on my phone, and we are very happy with the new floor. Later we removed a tub to install a walk in shower, and again from photos on my phone, they were able to match the existing travertine tiles in the bathroom with an exact match. It looks great. Another thing about this place that I liked was what my tile guy says about it. He says that you can a lot of the same stuff from home depot or lowes, but he's convinced that they get the rejects from the manufactures. He says this because when ever he gets a customer that bought their tiles from the big guys, he finds that there are a lot of miss sized tiles making it very difficult to keep grout lines straight, especially when doing small grout lines. I have another tile project coming up, I'll definitely be going to floor decor. read more

I have done my share of remodeling projects. F&D Clearwater gave me the most accommodating and professional experience ever. Their display of the various selection options are second to none. Chuck at their Pro Services Desk worked with me to insure my order was complete and tracked it thru delivery. I went with luxury vinyl planking for the floor. It was recommended that I use matching vinyl stair treads for my steps which was far superior to using stair noses. Being a new product, Chuck went the extra mile, checking with the manufacturer to ensure all was in order. All in all, my job is complete and F&D made it a successful and enjoyable experience. read more

We bought 2 pallets for tile that looked light grey in the store. We got them home, hired a contractor to install it, and it turns out the tile is a light beige. It was too late to return the tile since it was installed. So we ran with it. We decided to redo the fireplace, so we went and bought light grey stone. Hired a contractor and it looked horrible next to the floor. Went to return it, but can't because it was past 90 days. Call the 1855 number and it was a nightmare to get someone on the phone. When you FINALLY get someone on the phone, it's a call service. They really don't care what your problem is. I'll NEVER spend another penny at Floor and Decor!! read more

Meh, and that's about it! We went in hoping to bandaid a shower leak. I really didn't want to commit to re-doing an entire shower on Sunday morning, just trying to get me through another few weeks until I'm ready to tackle the project. The one thing I've noticed about the store is that it's impossible to a.) find staff to help you and b.) if you do find the staff and get an answer, the next staff you talk to says something completely different. Frustrating, much! We were pointed in the direction of their "lead designer." No where in that phrase says, "functional bandaid!" I have no idea what prompted a "designer" to get in on a project like this, but nonetheless, she did and she had us strung all over the store trying to select different products based on look and not on function. Complete waste of time! We ended up at a competitor only to find out that Floor & Decor indeed had what we needed, but they hiked the price up 25%....Not impressed, folks! read more

I went there to pick out floor and wall tile for a bathroom. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the choices and matching the right floor to wall tile. Colleen saw my confusion and immediately jumped in to assist. She explained its easier to start with floor and end with wall and it only took about 30 minutes to make the perfect choice. Victor also came over to lift some extremely heavy boxes of floor tile planks to ensure I got boxes from the same batch. Great teamwork and customer service! read more

Great prices and huge selection of tile. I picked up really nice slate and porcelain tile for my tub surround and floor, respectively, and paid less than I would have at home depot just for the slate around the tub. The employees also were very helpful and friendly, but they have sort of a Wal-Mart mentality, so don't expect them to seek out people to help. But they are knowledgeable when you ask. I will return here for ALL of my flooring needs. read more

I have used Floor and Decor multiple times for working on my home and a Home I have a couple hours north of Clearwater. This store always amazes me with the type of employee they have willing to help and very knowledgeable. Today was no different when looking at wood flooring to do an accent wall for the house a gentleman named Rick took his time showing us around giving us ideas along with just being a nice friendly person. While looking for the backsplash a woman named Chris spent time not only helping us pick out what we wanted but then spent a tremendous amount of time finding enough of the right dye lot. I patronized Floor & Decor recently to purchase tile for a new home I am currently renovating. I've dealt with many companies for flooring, and I have to say the service at the Clearwater location was outstanding! I was in-and-out in a reasonable amount of time due to Coop and Damian's efforts. They were eager to help and assisted me with every step. I had to come back for a return and for a re-order. Both Ed and Rob were very understanding and accommodating. Their main goal was to address my issue, and find a quick resolution- which they both did in a friendly and professional manner. My experience with F&D in the past has not been ideal, so with this project, I felt like their service deserved acknowledgment. So, a HUGE thank you to Ed, Rob, Damian, and Coop. Too bad I can not give negative starts. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR PRODUCTS. They do not stand behind them or the process they want you to follow is definitely not consumer friendly. I bought some FairOaks Silver Dollar Oak Laminate on Nov 16, 2019 and had it installed by a contractor 4 or 5 days later. During the time the flooring was installed until July 11, 2020 the property has been vacant and no one has been inside except for showings by the realtors and their clients. It had been mentioned recently that there were one or two spots the laminate showed some places where it looked like the ends had lifted slightly but then during the inspection there were several places that definitely looked like it had bubbled some. Of course the buyer insisted that I replace the entire floor in the main living area or they would cancel the contract because they were concerned that if I replaced only the bad sections it might happen again. I sent a request to Floor and Decor customer service on Jul 21, 2020 and never heard a word from them until I called on Mar 17, 2021 at which time they said they did not know anything about it. First they tried to blame it on an email server issue then finally said I sent it to the wrong email address. Well I received the email address from the Floor and Decor store. When I finally did get to talk to a claim rep they basically said since I already removed the floor and replaced it because that is what the buyer wanted that the claim would be denied. Do you really think that a buyer is going to wait 8 months for Floor and Decor to just look at the floor. Below was their response: When issues arise in flooring projects, it could be a problem with the product, a problem with the site itself, or a problem with how the installer installed the product. There are a number of variables that effect these projects. To narrow down the cause of an issue, Floor & Decor has a claims process for the customer to provide pictures, background information and details on the alleged product issues so that Floor & Decor can present the issue to the flooring manufacturer, if appropriate. Manufacturers also require an inspection from a third-party inspector who is certified as having experience in that product type. Given that we are unable to inspect the flooring in this instance, and thus move forward in our claims process, Floor & Decor must deny your claim at this time. Again make sure you are ready for the run around before purchasing from this company. read more

We have only been into this store once as we have been looking for a new floor for our dining room. After wandering around the flooring area for a few minutes on our own, we were approached by John who was immediately friendly to us and our three kids. He helped us find the type of flooring we want and helped us with some samples. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. Great people skills and customer service from him. I only rated 4 stars so far because we have not yet made any purchases or had any other experience with this store. read more

What they don't tell you when you purchase from here is that they do not have any policy on stocking flooring that very likely will be discontinued in the future as they tend to contract with companies that are not as financially stable as the name brands. Flooring manufacturers come and go and Floor and Decor seem to find the ones that will be going. I find this irresponsible to their customers. I purchased $8,000 worth of flooring from them and then needed a few pieces to replace some damage 3 years later as the flooring was not quite as water resistant as they lead me to believe. They discontinued it and could not provide any information about the manufacturer. Given the situation I asked if they could apply any type of discount if I decided to just replace all the flooring and the answer was no. So I am blessed with having to replace all the flooring, instead of a few pieces. I will be purchasing my new flooring some where else. I hate leaving bad reviews but feel it is worth warning people to question this with the sales rep when purchasing from this company. read more

Our contractor sent us here to pick up tiles, grout, etc. Beautiful items but terrible staff. We could not find anyone to help us and the one person who was looking for our tile was very grumpy and seemed sleepy. We found the tile ourself, and had no luck with the grout and supplies. We left the store and asked our contractor to pick up the items and we would pay him. Next time I will go too Lowes, they are definitely more helpful. read more

She helped me order my wood and made sure I got the correct transitions pieces and everything else I needed. Also, when I went to check out I was assisted by Nisha. Although this store has had a somewhat rocky start, they are starting to show some great improvements and commitments to customer service. Recently, I was somewhat frustrated as I was buying tile for a new constructed home and was having trouble obtaining enough inventory without 2-3 week delays, which for a few bathrooms, required me to pick some alternative tile combinations that weren't necessarily my first choices. Then, as a final straw, after picking out coordinating floor tile, wall tile and shower base tile for the master bath, I could only find 2 pieces of the bullnose tile that I needed to complete that bath, But Chris Pastor, a store associate, came to my rescue and went through heroic efforts to trace down what looked to be some inventory that existed in the store electronic inventory, but wasn't on the shelf. She escalated the discrepancy to the store manager, Ed, and he went all out to resolve the issue. He found it was received the night before and hadn't yet been put on the shelf. So he rapidly assigned one of his staff to locate it in the shipment, and supply it to me in short order. Then, after purchasing several thousands of tile over a two week period, I notice a pricing discrepancy when I was going through receipts from what I was advertised on a box, and what was actually charged when I bought the tile on a busy weekend day. But, Chris again came to my rescue, made the store manger Ed aware of the price discrepancy and he proceeded to issue me a store credit that day!! I love the inventory that the Floor & Decor stores carry. It is modern and fresh, but they still maintain a good supply of traditional travertine and carrara marbles. I know that the the Clearwater store is one of the busier stores, so hopefully they will continue to attract and retain dedicated staff like Chris who makes you feel like she is part of your project and take personal responsibility to go the extra mile!! read more

I am so thankful to Danielle in design. I was able to design both my bathrooms with no problem. But when it came to my kitchen backsplash I was at a dead end. I had a tile for the trim and no clue for the rest. Within an hour she had me out the door smiling ear to ear because she listened to me heard the under line of what I needed and fulfilled my idea that I could not figure out. She is a genius! At 3 weeks we were told this was on a truck but the truck was overweight and turned back at a weigh station. 2 weeks and 1 week ago got more BS. I had an awesome experience recently at Floor and Decor in Clearwater. I found a flooring that I just loved and went in three weeks later to get it and it was all gone. I was heartbroken and spent the next day looking at flooring at other competitors. I went back to Floor and Decor and was helped by three employees in finding more of the flooring that I wanted and having it shipped to me within a reasonable time so that I could still move into my new home. Manager Robert D, Jahari from the returns desk and Chris from design all went above and beyond to help me. The manager even called the next day to follow up when he found a better option for me in getting the product faster. I was owed a refund that happened without me having to do a thing. I highly recommend this store and these people! read more

Terrible customer service and horrible delivery service. I found tile I liked at the new store in Tampa the guys Don and Tom were awesome that I worked with. That store did not have enough tile (2000sf) $8000, so the Clearwater store had to send it. The delivery guy was rude and nasty. He broke several tiles and could care less. I called Clearwater store waited forever to speak with store manager. After 10 minutes on hold a man got on phone and was like what ever that is a third party company that delivers. He gave me a number to call and of course voice mail. I left message no one ever called back. I called Atlanta and they weren't much help either. I would definitely not use this store or delivery service again. They treat ya great until they get your money, then your on your own. read more

A store is only as good as management and employees. If not for Mike Dorr I would give one star. He straightened out a mess that other managers created. On a 2000 sq. feet of tiles we were given 4 different lots and the manager assured us they all matched. They did not. After 5 days of phone calls and talking to a second manager I had enough and wanted to cancel the order and let them pick up their tiles. I was shuffled to Mike Dorr who immediately took charge and straightened everything out. Why can't all managers be like that! Yeah for Mike and Boo for the other two. read more

My husband and I got all of our flooring from Floor and Decor Outlet. They have the best prices around and trust me we shopped around about 15 different flooring places and they were by far the best quality for your dollar. There are hundreds of different choices of laminate, hardwood, tile, travertine and granite plus all kinds of backsplash and remodeling material and padding for underneath laminate and hardwood. The staff is really knowledgeable and they didn't hover when we were trying to decide what we wanted. Only downside is that is IS an outlet, so if for some reason you didn't buy enough material there is no promise that the flooring you bought will be there the next day, so make sure you buy some extra just in case!!!!!!! read more
