Today's five star rating goes to three outstanding professionals! Randy, Todd, and Erica. I found out through a home renovation project that my shower had to unexpectedly be redone. Having very limited time I had to go and select what was necessary so the project could continue and not held up any longer. Stressed well, that's an understatement however I first had the privilege of working with Randy who invoked Todd's opinion and ended with Erica @ check out. They truly made this stressful situation a Joy and I even left with a smile on my face because of them. Randy was extremely patient, I asked him if he was busy and if he could help. He spent the next 20 minutes walking up and down the aisles repetitively (at least four times) before I could finally decide on the tile. As we were looking for the shower flooring to match the fantastic tile- the only thing I knew - I wanted pebbles. This is where Todd came to help, the two of them tag team and got various samples. (I got one which got voted out very quickly for the right reason). Todd had an eye for this as does Randy and that truly made a difference because from what I said earlier, being extremely stressful now suddenly became exciting because of the tile and pebble flooring that Randy and Todd helped select. Upon leaving, I had the privilege of working with Erica who is so kind and patient as I asked many questions about how the contractor will come get everything the following morning. She maintained a smile and when I told her how great Randy and Todd were she handed me a card so I could do a yelp review. Little does she know I've been an elite yelper for Eight years Overall, I'm very happy with what I got, the prices were very reasonable and I got a good value for my money. I was actually surprised at how inexpensive the pebble flooring and tile were as I really thought it was gonna cost a lot more. I bought 1400 sq ft NuCore LVP flooring, had professionally installed & looks terrible. There is a haze across entire surface all planks. I had a professional cleaning company come in, no success in removing the haze. At this point I am treating the floors with Quick Shine products to clean & provide some consistency in finish. I would never buy this product, $5K later and it looks old worn out floor. read more

I was a little confused entering into the store- with Covid precautions they direct you to the far right side of the building, which is also a pick up counter with a narrow pass through into the store of to the left.... but I wasn't sure if I was allowed in (yes- I know, I'm slow sometimes). It honestly appeared like maybe they were only doing online orders with pick up. There were no signs directing you and the couple of people behind the counters were busy on the phone and didn't even acknowledge me. I finally asked some employees who were around the corner- looking like they were on break- yes, come on in. Ugh- wasted 5 minutes wondering if the store was open to the public- lol. Once inside I found my way over to the tile. I was actually there to pick up some plain white tile for a new art medium I am playing with- and I was looking at various shapes and sizes trying to figure out what I could make and how to apply the tiles as a functional art. I was also loving all the fancy and artisan tiles~ we all have those dream house ideas or renovation ideas. Just depends if you are a hire someone type or a DIY type. I would love to be hands on and pick out flooring, backsplash and bathroom tiles! I've watched enough makeover home shows too! My pictures show my taste- lots of blues, greens and earth tones. Remodeling can be fun but stressful. Floor and decor has so much selection whether it be flooring or interior bathroom and kitchen countertop designs. When you walk in, everything is organized and clean. The layout of the store is easy to navigate so you can have a less stressful time finding things and relax and enjoy. Location - 10595 Brightman Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32246. Close to Top Golf around the town center area. Inside- When you walk in everything is bright and you see all the aisles with specific labels as well as samples of each item plastered near the description. The aisle with wooden flooring will have panels of wood on the outside with descriptions stating warranty, material and pet friendly, water resistant. etc. Same with the tiles for bathroom and kitchen a sample is plastered with material description. In the middle between the aisles which i thought was cool and convenient they had all the clearance items on sale. It was nice because as you were going through the halls you can also look through the clearance easily. Also there was enough space so there was no blocking or anything like that. Service - Okay.....here is where it goes down. Staff can see that you are clearly needing help in looking for something but they seem not to be too helpful. We had to call out to the front check out several times so that they can call someone to help us. Usually you will see staff walking around questioning in other places being persistent in trying to help you out. This however was not the case. Floor and Decor needs to step up their customer service more. Have employees assigned to aisles and ask customers if any help is needed. Employees just seemed to be doing there own thing. read more

The new floor and decor...thanks for coming closer to my house! My husband is a pro contractor, but we recently had a flood and need the entire house of flooring. I recommend you buy the full size samples before purchasing and lay them on your floor at home. Issue ....the lighting in the store makes the flooring totally different colored. I brought home 3 samples that I loved in store and didnt like any in my home!! Ugh!! Back to work!! Could you also get a snack and coffee bar...I feel like I spend hours there!! Haha!! They sell a product called NuCore LVP and it is absolutely terrible. Planks started to come apart at the seams and is dented everywhere. Professionally installed. Less than a year old. Will not honor warranty. Do not waste your money on this product. Made in China. Lots of people with the same issue as me. Wish I would have read the reviews online first elsewhere as they do not let you review their products on their website. Um I wonder why‍. Poor customer service as well. Boxes were ripped open in between of other boxes on the pallet, only to discover after arriving home. Stay away from Floor&Decor and go with a local small business. read more

We have been here twice and both times no one to help us. We found one employee to ask about stock, he checked and left!!! This time they are all in huddles of two either chatting on on phones or just hanging. We waited on a manager to finish ringing up someone to help us order. I believe he was going at a snails pace on purpose... seriously. No patience for this as he not the lazy cashier had no intention of helping us. We left and won't be back. The stars are not for the employees helping on the floor. We purchased almost $2,000 worth of flooring... and would possibly go back. The two stars are for the pick up area... if I would have known we would have to wait over and hour for 25 boxes... we would have pulled them ourselves. Not to mention... there were six of us waiting... each over an hour. It would be very nice if when you "checked in" they would notify you ... oh it will be about twenty minutes...thirty minutes.... oh and hour and 25 minute wait... Please work out a better system to notify those who need to wait for the flooring they just purchased. If you can... load it yourself into a cart. Came in on 3 different occasions and the experience was awful. Young staff are dismissive and Unwilling to help. Very rude and condescending. Had 2 workers carry on a conversation while waiting patiently at the register for 5 minutes. Could not get any help for samples and waited 30 minutes for half of my order to then be told we have to load ourselves while they helped the people parked right next to us load theirs when they arrived after. We're replacing the floors for our whole house and purchased approximately 3,000 sq ft of LVP flooring. When our installer started putting it down they noticed significant gaps in the planks. When measured the planks were up to 1/8" different. While the quality control of the manufacturer isn't their fault, the way they handled it was completely unsatisfactory. Their first reaction was "it can't be, we've never seen this before." Then at our insistence they made us drive up to the location with the material in question and show them the issue. Finally they said they'd take it back back but we'd have to get it up there ourselves. They refused to refund what they charged us for delivering it! So now we're out over $300 and a massive time investment due to their substandard product and horrible customer service. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

My contractor sent me in there for tiles and flooring in order to pick what I like. While I found the guys on the floor asleep and unhelpful, on my second trip I went to the pro desk and met Nicole Walker and she was a gem. She was helpful, attentive and offered some excellent design input. Nicole was just fabulous and salvaged the deal, where I spent $15,000.00 with her in short order. My suggestion, if going to that store, go right to the pro desk and ask for Nicole. She is the best! read more

Chase in the natural stone department has been consistently helpful and friendly on each visit I've made to his department over that past couple of months--from selection to loading my truck. The ladies in the pro department (Nicole, Amanda and their department manager, Stephanie) were amazing; although TERRIBLY busy, they were very friendly and professional as they tried to assist me in sourcing some difficult to find materials. The store manager, Alex, who I meet during this particular visit, models the attitude that is apparent in his employees. He clearly has high standards because the store is neat and all of the employees that I observed were working diligently or interacting with customers. To be fair, the manager Rod was fair and did his job. However, we bought close to $1000 worth of flooring, tried to return what we didn't use, in boxes. The boxes we returned had never been opened or used, but the flaps were exposed. Several of the boxes we purchased were already like that, one never left the trunk of my car. The manager said one couldn't be returned as it was discontinued... how would I know? No mention, nothing on my receipt, was told there was a sign in front of the product, manager and I walked back, no sign. BUYER BEWARE, we will go elsewhere in the future. read more

Finding the store location via cellphone GPS was interesting because it kept telling me to park and walk LOL. You can see the store from the interstate so I knew to keep driving until I entered their parking lot. The store itself is organized, clean and well laid out. There are dozens of tile and wood flooring sample displays including several full scale bathroom mock-ups. They also carry trade specialty tools for those do-it-yourselfers or the experienced craftsman/contractor. Floor & Decor is the place to go to get ideas and purchase the raw materials to get your project done. The prices are very competitive and the staff is very helpful. If you have never been to a Floor & Decor, it is HUGE and will take at least an hour to fully take in the seemingly ever expansive warehouse style showroom! read more

I am a contractor and work very hard to make sure my clients are taken care of. I recommended my clients and I meet at floor and decor today to pick out their flooring for two rooms and their complete bathroom renovations. Yes two. We went in and spent about 30 minutes looking at some tile and going over some of their wants and needs. We came to the point where I wanted to get them in a booth to draw up their bathrooms and start putting it together. I asked for help and was told to wait a moment. After a few minutes a man came over with a mask. He said I'm requiring you to wear a mask to interact with the staff. I said I have a medical condition and even a card excusing me from this. He did not care and told me "they" would escort me out. I walked to my clients and let them know I wasn't able to stay. The employee came over holding a mask with his bare hands "no sanitation" telling me to put it in. I said I'll leave. The point is this. Their are at least 20 people in the store not wearing masks and I was singled out. I asked why they don't have to wear one and no response was given. The end result is I was a PRO member and have sent at least 40+ clients to this store in the past two months. It will never happen again. Plenty of businesses would be more than happy to work with myself and my exceptional clients. Bye bye floor and decor. Ps. The worst customer service I have ever seen. We went in after finding what we wanted online and that it was in stock in the store. The guy would not help us locate what we needed. He said if we couldn't find it ourselves, we need to order it online for store pickup. We came home and placed the order for pick up and it's not even being fulfilled. We picked out LVP for our floors here. Slightly disappointed that after spending almost an hour in the store, not one employee approached us to ask if we needed help or to offer to explain the ordering process/ materials we might need to complete our project. We spent over $3k here, and then found out that the stairnose pieces had to be special ordered. They are also dealing with significant delivery delays, as the pieces we ordered still have not been shipped to the store. I will say that Beth and Brandon have been incredibly helpful in trying to help us source the materials we need over the last few days (they get 5 stars). I waited a few days for a confirmation email for an online order same day pickup on friday. I called on Tuesday and the employee just told me to come in and pick up. I get there and the order is not complete which I was not told that when I called to confirm. I got what I could and was told I will get a call the next day to see if I can pick up missing items from another store or get a refund. I waited til 4pm before calling to find out what is going on. Came back 5 days later for pick up to be told by the gentlemen in the pick up area that they didn't have it and it would take 21 business days to get. Have shopped at this Floor & Decor a number of times and have installed tile on floors and multiple backsplashes over the years. I love the selection and always seem to find just what I need. I've even come from out of state to this particular store because I know I'll find just the right thing in stock. This last time was awesome. Having selected a specific tile, I had some additional questions and the one sales person I was with got Robert for me when my questions got detailed. Talk about incredibly knowledgeable! Not only did Robert answer all my questions, he ended up taking me to the grout and mortar area to make sure I got set up right. Although I've done multiple projects I learned SO much more than I thought I knew and even came back later in the day to see and participate in Robert's demonstration. I learned a few more things there which I subsequently incorporated on this latest job. This is a great store and Robert was fantastic! If I could give 0 stars I would without hesitation. The customer service is absolutely horrible at this location. I went in, spent about 40 minutes in the store, came in close proximity with at least 5 employee sand not one asked if I needed help, was finding everything ok, or a simple hello. I will now be looking for another company to purchase my flooring for my home. Covid or not there is no excuse for the service or lack there of provided. read more
