They also refinished hardwood floors on two floors of our house and repainted all the rooms on those floors. In addition, they replaced all the old, yellowed electrical sockets and light switches and added LED lights to most of the rooms. We are very happy with how it all turned out. Matt, as designer/project manager, was excellent to work with and kept things moving on schedule. From start to finish, the renovation took two months, which we felt was extremely reasonable given the extent of the work that needed to be done. The price was $80,000 less than the highest estimate I received, but the quality was still excellent. I would highly recommend Bull Run to anyone who needs work done on their home.

We converted two rooms plus a hallway into a master suite as well as split two large upstairs rooms into three. We had structural concerns and lots of logistics to work out and I wouldn't trust anyone other than Mike to draw up the plans to make sure everything is safe and up to code. Al oversaw the projects and was in constant communication with us and regularly was on site to make sure everything was going smoothly. If anything wasn't 100% correct or what we had discussed, he would make sure it was remedied. Big shout out to Franz who even showed up to work the day after his wife had a baby! The M3 team worked late days and on weekends (with our consent) to meet their deadlines, even when the county held them up with permitting issues they still worked hard to finish within our timeframe. We even made major changes to our plans after construction had begun and they were able to pivot and help us get more square footage for the upstairs bedrooms. There were also numerous curveballs that they handled with ease (ya never know what you'll get with an old house). This was our first time doing any sort of large project and the team at M3 gave us plenty of guidance and support to make sure the finished product exceeded our expectations. Sent the same contractor back out -- who didn't reinstall anything. He tried to pound the seam flat with a hammer. A hammer. On carpet. For a 89-year-old woman who just wanted what she paid for. Considering the recent excellent water heater installation, we decided to buy and have blinds installed by Lowe's. This time we had extreme frustration. We made several phone calls and the store manager responsible refused to call us back. We paid Manassas Lowe's over $1800 to measure and install blinds in our house. We had problems including not cutting the blinds, delivering the blinds to the wrong location, and leaving the blinds on my driveway. When the installer went to pick up the blinds, the Manassas store called me, they did not know about the order, and didn't even know their own phone number. She told me to call back on the phone number recorded on my cell phone. When I attempted, multiple times to call back, the answering system would not transfer me to customer service, or management. At least last time when I called Lowe's, the answering system sent me to a helpful person at a Midwest store, several hundreds of miles away. Fortunately, the installer called me on his phone, and was able to pick up the blinds. I requested a call back from the Manassas store manager from the assistant manager on duty. I wanted to report the problems. I called the Lowe's Installation team and was first sent to the Manassas store's floor team. When I called back, I was told it was the Manassas store's problem and they needed to fix the problem. I requested to talk to her manager, who understood my frustration, offered me a reasonable compensation (I believe based on some calculation) and said they would ask the Manassas store manager to call me. The store manager never called. I told the Lowe's installation manager, I wanted to post a review. She told me I could, until I read the waiver I must sign to receive compensation. There are words in the release that states "Releasor agrees to immediately cease communication with media, including social media, if any, and destroy any video and photographs taken regarding the construction project relating to the contract numbers listed above," I asked for clarity and even offered to send her what I would post. Her response was "Please understand that I am not an attorney or acting as an attorney for Lowe's." Even though Lowe's is willing to compensate me with hundreds of dollars, I believe it is important to make others aware of the frustration about purchasing and installing blinds by Lowe's. I did not sign the waiver. There are too many organizations with different people involved with the installation of the blinds. There is no one person to talk with and take responsibility to have a problem free installation. Not to mention the difficulties with using the answering system.
