We purchased new flooring from Floor & Décor in Reno, NV, in October and November of 2016. We had an installer put in the floors for us in November of 2016. We noticed the flooring pieces shrunk, and it is still shrinking, resulting in gaps between the components. The cracks are becoming more prominent and more significant to the point that our feet can get caught and trip. We filed a claim with Floor & Décor on July 9, 2020, and they sent out an inspector Richard King on June 30. 2021 to inspect our floor. Richard King concluded that our floors are repairable, and therefore the floor pieces are not defective. However, three different flooring experts told us we had to redo the flooring with new materials because the parts will not unshrink, and once the pieces are detached, they will not fit together. We tried to contact Richard King and ask for his opinion on the repair, but he did not answer my messages. And Floor&Décor is telling us they closed my claim based on Richard's opinion. It is unfair to spend $8000 on the flooring when it was only suitable for a few years. I put my trust in Floor & Décor and purchased materials, but they ABUSED THE CUSTOMER'S TRUST BY SELLING DEFECTIVE ITEMS, and they are refusing to take responsibility for it. read more

I recently had my flooring done by Floor and Decor; Augustine and Rohalio (check spelling...) were on time and did a great job. I was so impressed with these installers that I went back to the Reno store to talk about a bathroom remodel. I was met at the door by "Jared" who was exceedingly polite and knowledgeable. I then met Brooke, the salesperson. She was more knowledgably than almost any sales person I met; she knew it all. On top of that she was quick and knew right where to go. Finally the measure person and overall manager was "Alex". He did everything right and always answered the phone (highly unusual these days...). Pathetic. First, I purchased baseboards from them several years ago. After a couple years, the finish began to peel away. I called just to see how I could rectify the issue. They said they had no record I purchased them from the Reno store. Unreal. That should never be possible. No help on that issue. Late last year, I purchase interlocking Vinyl Plank Flooring for a room in our home. Unfortunately, I was unable to lay it immediately because of family issues which arose. When I opened the box (I actually opened two) they were brittle and did not lock correctly. Of course, I can't take it back (some idiot on the phone confirmed that piece of insane news) so I am left with 7 worthless boxes of planks. Don't shop here. They only want your money and will come up with any excuse to negate a refund. Floor and Decor is a joke. read more

Zach was extremely helpful in getting the correct mortar and the necessary tools required for our tile project. He was extremely knowledgeable about the product and knew how to sell the item. Then there was Jared, our cashier, not the best person to sell a rewards membership as he could not tell us the perks for having one, so we didn't get one. He also asked us if we remember him ringing up an item as he doesn't think he did after we already paid, so we just ended up not getting the product as we didn't want to go through that process with him again. read more

Run, don't walk to your nearest Home Depot or Lowe's. This was my second whole house remodel I came here for flooring to purchase. I made the purchase online with the help of their customer service team. Her calculations were a little different than mine on what I needed but she assured me that I could return what we did not use. She specifically told me we should order extra floor tile since it would be coming from Rocklin to make sure we did not run out mid project. Sounded like a good idea to me. Fast forward and now the whole house remodel is done and we go to return the overage. Among other items, there were 17 boxes of tile. Apparently these weren't in stock in Reno because this is discontinued. At no point was this mentioned. Not that it would be a big deal, except for their arbitrary policy to not accept discontinued items after 90 days (91 from when the order was in stock for pick up and 96 from purchase date). First the Tile Manager said not possible. Then said it would be possible if they had a truck going to Rocklin. Then I heard they had 2 trucks going to Rocklin. Great! Then somewhere between him walking back to the back to check and returning he spoke to Ashley the Store Manager who said they could not eat the shipping (on a truck already going) and to give me store credit. Store credit in such a specific store does nothing for me. My entire house is remodeled and done. To make matters worse he tried to return all of the returns to store credit for $700+! I melted down. End result, still walked out with $332 in store credit to a store I will likely never return to. They fall back on the ole "did you read the bottom of your receipt" garbage while at the same time telling me that the only reason it matters is because it's a discontinued product which was never disclosed to me. Totally shameful and ridiculous. Home Depot is maybe a smidge more expensive but worth the superior customer service. read more

My review is as a homeowner... not as a contractor: They have the BEST selection in town on tile & flooring products. Make sure you go here before you purchase at the big home improvement stores. You will find a HUGE selection and really GREAT prices. We, unfortunately, stumbled across Floor & Decor after we bought almost everything at a home improvement store. I don't know why they don't advertise more so people know they are in town. We especially liked the decorative, glass tile and granite tiles. We didn't really look at the granite slabs (but they do have them); however, they appear to have limited quantity and very basic patterns. Employees are around if you need help, but they don't necessarily offer assistance. They seem to be chatting more than paying attention to customers. We did have one particular employee who offered to help us pick out granite trim and he was great. The cashiers are also really patient and helpful. Customer service is A+++++ I had to return an item and I lost the receipt. They took the opened item back and gave me a 100% refund in the form of cash. No questions asked and no problem at all. I would highly recommend Floor & Decor for anyone who is doing a small repair or a major remodel. Like I said, they have a huge selection and great prices. read more

If you want flooring to provide you with gaps, brittle locking systems and hollow spots, buy Aqua Guard flooring from Floors and Decor. As a GC who builds new construction, we have never used such an inferior product. The corners pop up after it's laid, gaps appear, it feels hollow on a completely new subfloor. You can't find any reviews for a reason. Try Houzz, 500 people will tell you how bad these products are. The only way to get warranty on this product is to pay a private inspector 700$ to verify that their product is faulty. Buyer beware of Aqua Guard. If it's too late and you already have to reckon with it's faults, roofing felt underneath will help with the hollow feeling. read more

So, after a lot of time on the phone, the store came through preventing a third delay. The operations manager offered to have her pro-desk manager deliver items that were at the store free of charge. Further, she and the store manager tracked down the outstanding truck, and the store manager personally delivered the outstanding tile to my home along with a card apologizing for the delays as well as a receipt reflecting that she had refunded the original delivery charge. The store and staff went above and beyond to compensate for the logistical problems. read more

I would highly recommend this store to meet your flooring needs. First off, it would be good to make an appointment first with a designer online if you have no idea what you are looking for in terms of flooring. Then they can really have someone take time with you to help you figure out what you want. Also, it would be a good idea to measure your room(s), hallways, etc. so you have that information ready to go. They appreciated that we were prepared and it saved us time as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and the staff was extremely helpful. We have received many compliments on the floors and people who visit always think we have hardwood floors. We didn't pick hardwood because we do not want to deal with scratching and this new tech water resistant vinyl plank flooring and laminate is amazing! We were recommended by our contractor to come here and pick out tile for a very large remodel of our 2600 sq ft. Home. Almost 60% of our flooring will be tile. We went there, and I purchased samples of tiles I loved and wanted to use. When our contractor went back to actually purchase the tiles, this place became a joke. First, when they pulled up my phone number he was told when they saw my samples they didn't know anything about them. In other words, they have never seen those tiles. WTF??? They are on my invoice idiots!!! Second, they were out of some small tiles, and wanted $400, shipping from another store for 50 sheets. Again, WTF??? There were other issues as well with this terrible store. We are taking our business to both Dal Tile, and Bedrosians. Stay away from floor and Decor. They are unprofessional, were rude to our contractor, and have hidden fees for ordering. I will never set foot in this store again. Terrible customer service. read more

We set up an appointment for the next day and when we arrived it wasn't in system. From that point forward all went downhill. Not one employee would help us and instead they all acted like we were the problem of the day. Bought hundreds worth of tile only to find out in the pick up that they didn't have in stock. I recenly had the opportunity to shop here for a renovation that I'm doing at home. Since I am on a budget, I stayed with ceramic tile. I did entertain using a natural stone, like marble or traverine, but the cost was a bit above what I wanted to spend. Not only that, but as a previous reviewer mentioned, the variation in the coloration, thickness, and quality of the natural stone here was very inconsistent. Some of you might say "well duh it's natural". But the variations I found within each box we're so extreme that I would have to sort through an entire pallet to find enough matching tile for my project. Outside of that, they do have everything you need to finish your project under one roof. They carry a huge selection of color grout. Some of the spacers and tools can be hard to find in other places so I recommend Floor and Decor for that. I have never had a problem exchanging anything yet, but I do have some returns and will update you if I find out different. A lot of variety and stock so it is definitely worth a visit for a look-see. read more

I have now purchased over $5000 in merchandise but my last visit was insulting and I lost trust in the company and staff. On a previous shopping trip I wanted to purchase $2,800 in new tile but was unsure of the quantity needed but I confirmed the pricing, the delivery cost, and delivery that would meet my needs. When I returned 5 days later the Store Manger, Ashley would not accept my word that the Sales Manager had already confirmed and committed to my delivery needs, She had to call the delivery company to confirm that my need could be meet and she would not honor the delivery cost that had been quoted. She did not out right call me a liar but she may as well have. She said she would only honor the commitment if I had it in writing. I didn't think that I needed it in writing since I believed they could be trusted. Obviously I was wrong. To anyone who knows they are going to make a substantial purchase at the Floor & Decor (store 144) on Kietzke Ln. Please work with front end supervisor : NATHAN GOFF. I had to call this store today for them to look up an invoice in their system from my purchase in 2018' for plank flooring. Nathan is so professional, speaks articulate, listens to the customer and went beyond my expectations of trying to locate exactly what I needed. He did not want me to have to be placed on hold for any extended amount of time so he 'politely' asked for my email address so he could get the copy of the invoice to me as soon as possible. He said that he would stay after work (off the clock) to research. If he could not locate it, he would contact me immediately. Talk about customer service at its finest! At the time he said he would get me the info I requested, he delivered!!!! Yeah NATHAN GOFF. This was a huge weight off my shoulders because it was an accounting issue. If I had a business, Nathan would be a top employee. I'm telling you out there to ' scoop him up' because if you want sincere professionalism, he is your man. If you are looking for a decent deal you can find it here from time to time. We came in to buy stone for the front of our house. Every employee from the moment we walked in was friendly and helpful. Once we made a selection Michael Stipech ( I was impressed enough with his expert advice and high level of service that I asked for his card) in less than 10 minutes he had our cart loaded up, walked us up to the front, cashed us out, and loaded our entire (very heavy) purchase onto our trailer. This company has been a joke in getting us the product we ordered but has had no problems charging us $10,000 for it. The original flooring they tried to give us was damaged and we have spoken to numerous people about reordering the product to make it right. They promised us multiple times that it was on the way but they have no idea where it is, when it will arrive, or anything else. They never even offered to discount anything for having to live in total chaos with plywood floors for weeks. Luckily we've been using Juan from around the house flooring who has been the most amazing flooring contractor and continues to support us through this whole process. Floor and Decor has a great selection but absolutely awful customer service. Still waiting on my laminate two weeks later. Don't worry they won't let me know when it's in and I'll continue to call and get some new person telling us hmmm not real sure. Ughhh go elsewhere read more

This is a massive store and could be quite intimidating if you don't know what you want. Fortunately we did... After a recent purchase of an older home in need of massive upgrading, I found myself along with my boyfriend, who is a finish carpenter, there simply to buy unfinished hardwood flooring for a bedroom we converted to an office. We found what we needed quickly and needed a few bundles of the stuff but noticed that the top bundle was missing one or two boards. The department assistant manager was nearby and we asked him if he could move that bundle out of the way so we could get to the full bundles. To our surprise he offered us a great discount off that bundle if we would just take that one with our stack. The store didn't have normal things one would need to go with the wood though like wood filler etc. Overall Service was great, selection was huge but we had to go to another store before we could actually go home to do the work. read more

Met with Renee the designer who was a tremendous help with our laminate selection making sure we had the right product for what our needs were. Then she helped out with our ledger stone (and associated materials). When we were selecting our materials and we had some installation questions she brought in Ricky for additional suggestions and validation of her suggestions.
