I went to the Floor & Decor Mesa they did not have Enough tile in matching dye lots to fill my order. They called the Tempe store in Tempe said they had enough to fill the water. The Mesa store made me pay in advance in order to pull the order. I said at the Tempe store for over an hour in the back parking lot waiting for the title to come out the lady comes out and says oh I'm sorry we didn't count right we only have five boxes but we can give you five of another color and five of another color??? I wasted almost 5 hours on my Sunday trying to get these materials together and ended up with nothing.. I made them take back all the other stuff that goes with installing tile back and I will never come to the store again. I would name Names but I spoke to so many people to day and they're all incompetent and worthless. The manager Shane is the only one that knows how to do anything right, but for some reason didn't believe what he was telling me. read more

Every single time I stepped into this store, I spent over an hour there looking at the huge selection of choices they have for flooring, tile and trim pieces. I did spend a lot of time there! One time I even worked with a designer (Kristin?), who was very helpful. Every single person I came into contact with, either in person or on the phone was knowledgeable and friendly. To be honest I received pretty lackluster customer service when I called in looking for a tile their Glendale location said they had in stock. Couldn't find it they said. I just really had my heart set on this tile for an accent in my kids bathroom so I emailed the store manager Stephen to see if he could help. F&D is fantastic! All the information on the materials is posted clearly at the location - type, rating, price and availability of the pattern in other sizes, etc. Have not seen this at any other place that I shopped, including Lowes, Home Depot, and two specialty tile shops. The tile selection is great - at least equal to any of the other places I went. The staff is exceptional - plenty of offers to help you, plenty of staff available, and they know the products very well. Thank you Brian and Ryan for your help. You can purchase a sample and return it later for a full refund. This is my first choice for purchasing tile for a big remodeling project. We bought hundreds of sq feet on several separate purchases and could not be happier with those. Note, I think the location at Camelback may have a bigger selection of showroom models (ie, more tile laid down), so you might want to check both locations if you want to see what a particular model looks like on a floor or bath. However, I did not buy anything except samples from that location. read more

Great selection in tile but DON'T use "Installation Made Easy. Their contractors are terrible. FloorOne came out an took measurements on Tuesday. Said he would get back to me that night with a quote to install.....or Wednesday morning. I left 2 messages with FoorOne this week and no one has EVER returned my call. Never heard from them again. Got an Email THIS morning (Saturday) from you (Installation Made Easy) saying we had an appointment last night (Friday). Not sure what you guys are doing but it isn't installing my tile. Looking to pull all the old laminate out of my first floor and replace with tile. I was directed to the design desk and both women were super helpful and gave me some advice. Went to the register to discuss setting up an account and ended up not doing anything bc i was interrupted by a young man standing in the register area, wearing a different shirt from the employees, asking if I needed a contractor or an estimate. Was immediately put off by the interaction. Store overall was great tho, the woman at the register was helpful. I'll be back next week to pick what kind of tile I want to use. read more

What Really made this a GREAT Experience for us was a sales assistant they have on staff named Joe. He was SO helpful and with a smile on his face. My Fiance and I picked out the tile. Then we went back to Joe. Joe took care of all the details for our do it yourself project. He helped us pick out the right trim, the right grout, grout additive and proper mortar. He even got us the right trowel and tile spacers. Very knowledgeable and Very helpful... Can't say enough good things about Joe.....Five stars for Joe! read more

Just replaced a large part of my flooring with laminate that I purchased thru Floor and Decor. Staff was very helpful and friendly, answering all my questions on the different types of wood flooring and padding we would require. Delivery was quick and easy. Did have a slight problem with some special order items, but store was quick to fix the issue. Found the pricing too be very fair. read more

If I could give less of a rating I would. Do not Ever Buy Equipment from Floor and Decore. They will sell you junk and then tell you its your problem. I bought a QEP Tile Saw...It did not work. The blade could not be used to cut tile without it cutting into the metal Track. After speaking with Floor and Decore they fully acknowledged they knew this was a problem when they sold me the defective saw. As of the date of this posting...the saw is still for sale. Then I purchased a Rubi Tile Saw thinking this one, costing almost 3 times as much as the QEP saw, would be a much better purchase. In fact, it was recommended by the sales manager, Peter. After buying the saw and taking it to a job, almost 50 miles away, I found that the saw did not work. I spent hours trying desperately to get it to work. A full day of work was wasted. After speaking to Floor and Decore they again acknowledge that they knew this saw was defective as well and gave me a new power supply cord. This saw is still for sale as of the date of this posting. There was no note, there is no mark-down for a defective product. All the time and expense and especially the lost income from not completing jobs - has been terrible. When asking them about the saw, they told me I had to deal with the manufacturer and they could not help me. I spoke to Jay in case anyone wanted to know who told me that. The moral of this story is, if they knowingly sell defective saws and tell you, Sorry that is your problem, just think what other junk they are selling you..... There are better places to buy material and equipment. Cheap is not always better and may end up costing you more in the long run, as this situation did me. read more

If you want a truly painful customer experience when shopping for your flooring materials, this is your place to shop. They have an antiquated point of sale system that sucks your time while you wait for them to find your account and robs them of any level of efficiency. You will stand in line forever waiting for their cashiers to complete a simple transaction. Ironically, they often have several people standing around at the cashiers station chatting and doing anything other than serving the customer. For each transaction, they will ask you for your phone number. However, they can never apparently get it entered correctly. I have purchased a couple thousand dollars worth of items, yet few can be retrieved for review. Try returning something without that record (unopened and un-used - anything else is not accepted) and they'll look at you like you're a criminal drug addict trying to rip them off. By contrast, return something at Home Depot or Lowes by simply providing your credit card that was used for the purchase. Avoid this place. read more

Scott is the man! After numerous visits to this store, he is the only employee that was actually helpful. He really knows his stuff and really cares about educating the customers and making sure they get what they want. Still, this store has so many choices it can be very overwhelming. I highly recommend doing some research online first (remodeling our master bath is the first time I have really experienced pinterest to its fullest potential) to figure out what kind of look you want. Then visit the store's website because you can more easily compare prices and sizes, etc on there. Then take your measurements and head into the store with your list of options and make your final decisions and place your order. The nice thing is that they will hold your stuff for up to two weeks after you pay for it so that you or your contractor can come pick it up later. You can also return unused pieces up to 30 days. read more

Went to this store on April 5th 2014, their prices are wonderful & the selection was incredible ! I rated the store with 3 stars because trying to find some help was miserable & when I finally found a sales person, he knew very little about the products, I had more questions but couldn't find another employee to talk to, when we decided to leave all of the sales staff was all gathered together talking to each other. This store needs to have a staff meeting to train their employees how to deal with their customers & know the products ! read more

The prices are low but if you look up "operational excellence" in the dictionary it will say "definition = not floor and decor". This is the Frys electronics of flooring. "If its in stock they've got it!" My goodness they can screw up post toasties. I called to see if they had some more to finish off a job we were working on. I had everything - SKU numbers, the bar codes same thing on the Tmoulding and quarter round. I called first to ask if they could check on inventory before I got there so I did not waste time driving out for nothing. I should have just driven there because they answered the phone and when I asked if they had it Jessica takes the numbers down and puts me on hold. Well I could have driven because they put me on hold and... I donno smoked a cigarette - went on break.. Im half way to the store by now and they say yes we have all of them. In a normally well run place they type it in the computer and they can tell you in 1 min if they have it or not. So she comes back on the line (on hold I get the how wonderful we are blather on hold one of the services is they will hold your order for pickup- now remember this for later). I tell Jessica great - I need this much get it ready I will be there in 10 min. Oh no no no... we cant do that. Unless you have your credit card on file. Well Jessica, I have bought from you before so look it up. You will have to buy it... OK Jessica I want to buy it and Im on the way to pick it up.... no no we cant do that - for liability, your security, safety - to save the whales and dolphins whatever we just cant, dont wont...no no no.. So apparently common sense tips Jessica over so she transfers me to a manager - he tells me the same thing. So I say OK whatever Im about to pull into the parking lot anyway now that we wasted all that time. You guessed it I walk in and we start all over from square 1 - Jessica does not remember talking to me, nobody knows which manager I spoke with. I give them the BAR CODES and SKU numbers from everything I want and the desk staff goes into brain freeze - well whats your phone number? Really you cant tell me if you have stock on that stuff even though you just confirmed you did on the phone but of course if you had done what I suggested I would be paying for it now and on my way out the door... long story short I wasted 45 min with them running all over and getting this and that while being interrupted for one thing or another and finally got it paid for and on my way... There was one box that looked damaged and it had been opened so I insisted that they replace it because I just did not want to deal with Bevis and Butt-head again. Its a sweat shop to work at and I imagine some distant management has created some idiot rules that they have to follow (or hide behind) so as not to give good service - they might not be able to if they wanted to. The prices are low but they make absolutely no sense and its inefficient beyond belief and chaos and disorganization galore. This explains why there is a tile and flooring store on every street corner in the Phoenix area... its a hot mess but low prices. Thankfully I dont have to shop for this stuff often or I would send someone else to arm wrestle with them. read more

Workers are not friendly at all or helpful (well not to me). If negative stars were an option...there are no negative stars so I had to give 1 star. I've been here 3 days in a row. The first day, I browsed to see if the establishment had what I was looking for. I found the tile I wanted and I was interested. But I got no help so I left thinking they were busy because of course it was the first time I'd been there (they were not busy). The next day, still no help and I noticed there are far less customers this day. I had to find someone who worked there and when I did, I asked for their expertise in Motar and grout, tile cutters, etc. And they just had no idea because they started reading almost every motar and grout mix they had. I could have done that myself. I even showed them pictures of what I was working with AND measurements. But before they decided to help me they left me to talk to their group of coworkers, not to help me, but to socialize. They didn't know, they didn't care and most of all THEY DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO HELP ME WITH A SIMPLE BACKSPLASH FOR A VERY SMALL KITCHEN. Or maybe they did know and choose not to help me. The next and final day I went in to buy the tile still no help. But by this time I knew I had to know my shit. Because obviously the workers here are selective or just don't care. We are doing a huge addition/remodel project. Visited some local tile stores but found Floor and Decor was the best by far for selection. I was able to purchase tiles (not just a 4" x 4" sample) to see how they would look in the room. If I didn't like it, just brought them back for a refund. For those like me, who can't make up their mind, it was a great experience. They would even open a new box if they didn't have any loose tiles available. Since my husband actually installed the tile, can't speak of their installation. But, I love my tile project! I highly recommend Floor and Decor. When we continue with the rest of the house, I will return. read more

Great experience bought $1,000 worth of tile and had to return it. Some of the boxes were wet and even some of the stuff was chipped and they took it all back no questions asked. I had a fireplace built on our back patio about a year ago. I looked at several tile stores and didn't find the contemporary tile I wanted without paying a fortune. I walked in to Floor Decor, was met with a very pleasant employee. I told him what I wanted. He walked me right over to the most beautiful bronze tile embedded with metallic lines with a glass type finish. Wow. The price was unbelievable. We bought more than we needed and they gladly refunded our money when we returned the excess. A year later, the tile has held up perfectly and looks so beautiful. I'm now renovating an investment property and Floor Decor will be my first stop. Helpful employees, great prices, easy parking and easy returns. They do it right. read more

I have had the worst time dealing with this company. I bought 1500 square feet of rough sawed ceramic wood look alike tile. I have had problems with it ever since it was installed. The sheen is not the same from tile to tile, the floor goes from real shinny to looking like it is dirty. Following Kay's advise after showing he the pictures I had the tile inspected and the inspector said it was defective tile and the only fix for it is to tear it out. 10 weeks later all they can tell me is we are waiting to here back from the manufacture, very poor customer service. read more

So this was my second time picking something up at this place. I was there 2 week ago to pick up tiles for my house. Waited and waited and nothing. The older lady at the counter, not very nice by the way, only said "they are looking for it" and disappeared. Complain to the manager but it was obvious she did not care. Went back again and the same the older lady would only say :"the warehouse is packed" when asked where is my order and this was 20 mins later. Continue to wait and they brought someone else order that was there after me and got nothing from the employees. They have a lot that just stand around doing nothing. Again at the older lady at the counter all she could say was 'warehouse packed" must be a line they teach them. now I am 1/2 hour still waiting. So they have this African American guy waving an orange flag, probably went to college for this, laughing at the customer (me) because I was not happy. Nice this has to one of the nastiest I have been to do business will go to a quarry next time buy anything. Prices are high and personnel there very nasty and uneducated. My dog has better customer service skills than these people do. read more

Another woman there was also getting rude treatment because she had an accent and wasn't speaking English well. Furious. All we were trying to do was pick up our orders and ask simple questions. Just purchased a home in Chandler and have been looking for flooring and backsplash for two months. I have been to a bunch of other flooring stores and have to say that Floor and Decor is the best! This place is huge and has hundreds of flooring options IN STOCK, and their prices beat everyone in town. I went in for the first time on Saturday after being underwhelmed by their competitor across the street. The parking lot was packed and they were very busy. When I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly cashier and immediately overwhelmed by the size of this place, I really didn't know where to start. As I browsed through their marble mosaics I was greeted by their designer Bilal who was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. I could see there were other people waiting to be helped so I told him I would browse on my own so he could help other people. As I walked around the mosaic section for another 20 minutes Bilal as well as two other associates kept checking on me to see if I needed any more help. As I started walking the rest of the store I was greeted by several other associates and was helped by Jay who was extremely helpful and friendly. I had some questions about the PEI and print quality mentioned on their signs and Jay explained everything to me. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I purchased several samples and will be back within the next week to purchase 1,800 feet of tile plus backsplash! I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends! read more

I recently visited the Tempe, AZ store to purchase an additional box of laminate flooring as I was just 4 pieces short of completing a major project (my measuring error). I learned that the laminate had been discontinued and there were no boxes in the Phoenix area. One of the employees, Justin, conducted a computer search of the western region and found none. He went above and beyond my expectations by searching the central and eastern regions as well and found 5 boxes in Savannah, Georgia. He even called the store in Savannah to confirm they still had the 5 boxes and told them to hold at least 2 boxes (I wanted a spare box) for me and found an associate that could place an out of region order for me. The laminate was delivered to the Tempe store and I was able to complete my project. That is what I call superior customer service.
