This review is well overdue and it's going to be a long one. So if you don't feel like reading the whole thing, I am going to sum up my experience with Korkmaz in 3 words: Easy, pleasant and professional. Now, here is a more detailed review: 4.5 years ago I hired Korkmaz to remodel our bathroom from scratch. Gutting everything and redoing the tiles, floors, walls, finishes - the works. Working directly with the owner, Deniz, was extremely easy. He is super friendly, approachable and always makes himself available. He was able to find the gorgeous Emperador Dark marble tile that I had picked on a very short notice. (I believe that we placed the order on a Thursday and received it the following Tuesday.) We had the 300 lbs. cast iron bathtub and toilet that I had ordered delivered straight to Korkmaz who took care of transporting it to our building and everything else. Deniz had recommended a plumber. Unfortunately that plumber ended up refusing to drill our newly-installed marble tile in order to hang a shower body. So Korkmaz's workers stepped in to complete the job for us (free of charge.) Once our bathroom was done, we were beyond happy with the finished result. So we hired Korkmaz to install manufactured maple hardwood floors throughout our apartment as well. That job was completed within 2 days along with new baseboard installation. (Mind you, our apartment was full of furniture and personal belongings. So the workers had to move everything room-to-room in order to work.) I am writing this review now, because we recently had to upgrade a few things in our office. That included the following: painting 1,600 sq. ft. in two tones, installing and painting textured 3D wall panels, new carpet installation, taking down a wall and repairing the drywall/ceiling around it, some plumbing. We stopped at Deniz' store and he was happy to do a free in-office estimate for us immediately. Just as before, his workers did an outstanding job and we are very pleased with the final results. They even put together a bunch of office furniture for us - a large reception area desk, some cabinets, shelves, office chairs, etc. PROS: - The owner himself is really easy to work with and reach via text messages. He would always respond to me almost immediately. I appreciate dealing directly with the company owner. He is also a very likable guy. - The rest of his staff members are also very professional and pleasant. The same people who worked on our home projects helped renovate our office space. - They start working early in the morning and often work on Saturdays as well. - The showroom is humongous and very well-organized. Browsing through their amazing selection of rugs, tile, hardwood floors, etc. is a pleasure. CONS: None. If you have a home project that you need help with or if you are a small business owner looking to renovate their office/store, I suggest that you stop at Korkmaz and meet with Deniz to discuss it. read more

Fantastic carpet buying experience. There is a huge selection of high quality wall to wall carpets and area rugs. What I really like about the store is that are no pushy sales people walking around the store. Deniz treats you as if you were in his home when you ask for help, looking for a specific type of carpet. I was really surprised at how reasonable the prices were because it looks very high end, which it is to some extent considering the rug are excellent quality. The carpets that I ordered arrived in three days. If you are hesitating because it looks expensive, don't be as you will be very pleasantly surprised. Let me start by saying when I first walked into Korkmaz Rugs & Flooring I wasn't expecting such a great level of customer service. Deniz was incredible! I had just moved into a new place and was looking for some area rugs to help with the aesthetics of the place. With measurements in hand and Deniz as my guide we when through what seemed to be an endless sea of area rugs. I had an idea of what it was that I was looking for but it took sometime to finally find what worked for me. Deniz was so patient with me and informative the whole time. He answered all my questions and educated me on the different types of materials and construction methods that going into area rugs. I had about a dozen options in front of me and I was surprised that Deniz steered me towards the only three area rugs of the dozen that were actually on sale. They were the nicest of all the options and really were a bargain and well within my budget. So I purchased all three area rugs. And I really felt like I had a wonderful time in doing so. Deniz wasn't a pushy sales person, he took the time to listen to what I wanted and help me narrow down my choices. It's was truly a rare customer service experience I had at Korkmaz Rugs & Flooring. Had a great experience here. Always wanted to come for a carpet for my living room but never had the time. Finally found the time and made it there around 7:05 PM and the doors were locked because they closed at 7, but Deniz opened the doors for us!! Visited here because they have a service where they cut your pre-owned rug to size. When my husband called they quoted him $50 + tax to cut off a feet and "surge" it (sew it up). When I went in the store, another man quoted me $75 to cut 1 feet and that didn't include surging. My husband called back to talk to the first guy and see why the price difference with these two people. I don't appreciate when others try to take advantage of a pregnant woman or be dishonest just to make a buck. If you visit, ask for the owner; Mr. Frank. He was honest enough to see the carpet, show us what it would look like if he serviced it, give us true pricing and send us home. read more

What a nice collection of rugs! We saw korkmaz rugs when driving on rt 17 and so happy we came in. At first thought it would be a super expensive store but actually the prices are very reasonable for the quality that they offer. They carry rugs from turkey India Sweden and china. They can be hand made or machine made. We purchased a set of 3 for a great price and plus the yelp discount they are running was helpful! Before korkmaz we also checked homegoods for variety and good prices but I prefer korkmaz! Will get more rugs and I recommend it to everyone read more

Deniz is thorough in his assessment of the work to be performed as well as in his explanation of the scope of work required for the project. Now remember, they removed my old backsplash right? They come to do the tiles while I'm at work. I get home and they left electric boxes sticking out 2" away from the wall (the old backsplash was thicker). Also, the tiles they installed were glass, the corner tiles they installed, when you would look at them on an angle you could see the rear of the tiles were cut all jagged. I call and complain, they come the next day, fix the electric outlets and replace the tiles again while in at work. I get home, inspect and again the corner tiles were cut jagged (obviously not using the proper blade), I call and complain again and at this point I still owe them $500, I tell them lets just part ways and forget the $500. They insisted they come and fix it. Again, they come to replace the bad tiles (this is the 3rd them if you're keeping count), finally they got it 80% right, at this point I'm defeated and I gave up. All in all, the final job looks great but the stress involved made me wish I would've never stepped in Korkmaz. read more

My husband and I moved into a new house that needed some fixing up, especially the floors. I went to several different flooring companies closer to my home, who gave me outrageous pricing and had very little knowledge of what exactly needs to be done and were not helpful at all. I figured I would try out korkmaz, although it was farther away from my house. When I went into the warehouse, Dennis was extremely helpful and walked me through all my options and was able to sit down with me right there and work out a price, and the price was MUCH more reasonable. The workers did great installation, and Dennis made sure to check in with us during it all to make sure everything was up to par. He really cares about his business and wants nothing but quality work done. He is a hard worker and I am glad I trusted him and his company to do our floors. My wife and I spent a lot of time in the store trying to pick out the right laminate. Finally picked one out we liked and made an appointment for a measurement. It was scheduled for between 5:30 and six one evening. At 6:45 I called the store to see if they were running late. Heard a lot of excuses but in my opinion someone should of called.. We are extremely happy with our new carpeting in our very large bedroom. I did all the legwork looking for the perfect texture and color and couldn't find anything until I walked into Korkmaz. I was helped by Gayle, the designer, and she immediately made me feel at ease in this huge store filled with hundreds of beautiful carpet samples. I knew if I couldn't find it here I wasn't going to find it anywhere. I found exactly what I wanted and it was on sale to boot! I brought my husband in the next day and we ordered the carpet I picked out. What was so great was that Denis, the owner, held the carpet in his warehouse for two months until we were ready to install it. The installation was flawless in our irregularly shaped bedroom and we are thrilled with the job and with the two installers. Very professional! I wish I had discovered Korkmaz before our complete apartment renovation.
