Had my 1st floor replaced with LVT in 2020 and Josh was my sales person. This go around, had my stairs and 2nd floor replaced with the same LVT. Ryan at the Atascocita location was so easy to work with. We texted back and forth a few times, he came to my home for an exact measurement and 1 week later, I had my new floors and stairs. He did not push me with any high sales tactic expectations and was very patient with my indecisiveness in choosing what to go with. I truly believe he got me the BEST PRICE IN TOWN with no doubt. This company represents the epitome of amateur work and unprofessionalism. I contracted them to replace carpet with vinyl planks on 06/30/21. The first available installation date was 08/19/21 and the project would take four days. On 08/19/21, installers arrived and said my subfloor wasn't the same height throughout. The installers said I needed to have the floor leveled. Floor preparation is included in the contract so leveling the floor shouldn't have been a concern. 08/23/21, I spoke to the Regional Manager Joshua Wailey. Joshua stated the next installation team would apply plywood to the areas that aren't balanced so my floor could be completed. The 2nd set of installers came 08/27/21. The installers did not have any plywood to balance out the floor, like the regional manager stated they would. In addition to not being prepared, the installers were COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL. They ordered food delivery service without my consent! They went into my refrigerator multiple times, without my consent! They damaged my new construction walls (in places outside of their work area) with dirt stains, scratches. And the grey mixture they used to float the floor was all over my walls, doors and ceiling. They placed large, heavy furniture on my expensive, one week old shutters! They broke one of my bed frames! And they used my secondary restroom and left urine on the toilet! They left Red Bull cans everywhere and in my freezer, without my consent. Only the foreman spoke English and he left shortly after he arrived, never to return until it was time to pick the other workers up. Due to the utter unprofessional, disrespectful, nasty, unhygienic and amateur behavior that took place in my home, I told the installers to leave. All of this was reported to the Atascocita store, the regional manager and the installation manager, Mike. The regional manager said a new "third" installation team would be out to complete the job 09/02/21. The "third" installation team arrived 09/02/21 and said the floor wasn't leveled. The foreman said they will remove what the last installation team did, level the floor and complete the job. Yet again, the "third" installation foreman left at 9:40am and neither of the two workers he left to complete the work, spoke good English. The "third" installation group arrived 09/03/21 and the foreman said the floor isn't leveled. I told him that was the same conversation I already had with him yesterday, and the regional manager said plywood was to be placed in the areas that needed it so the floor and be flushed and balanced throughout. The foreman of the "third" installation group said I needed to speak to the regional manager again because they can't finish the job. I told him this is a conversation he should've had the first day they arrived. If the foreman would've been present on the job, he would've been able to see what the workers were doing and what else needed to be done. The foreman said he went home and he lives far. I replied going home has nothing to do with this job. And he was gone from 9:40am until 5pm, when he picked up the other two workers. The "third" installation group again, wasn't prepared. The foreman got upset about me saying something regarding his absence from the job and not being prepared, so the "third" installation team left. The regional manager said he could send a "fourth" installation team that specializes in flooring to complete the job 09/07/21. I reminded the regional manager he said the team he sent after we initially spoke 08/17/21 was supposed to be specialist with knowledge to complete the job. I endanger my health everytime a different set of people come into my home, during this covid era. The level of incompetence relating to this project is insane! I sincerely regret employing Floors For Living to work on my new construction home. Its like the contractors were just picked up off the street, don't speak English and don't know what they are doing. I selected and paid Floors for Living, in good faith they were professionals but I was completely wrong. This has been a nightmare and I recommend everyone to select a different flooring company to work on your home. read more

Floors for living in atascota came to install over $20,000 of flooring in my house upstairs and downstairs. I did not receive what I ordered! And they explain to me that it would match my other floor after they cleaned it. However, that was not the case the one room, which I already had them do several years before, did not match what they put in the rest of my downstairs. even after cleaning many times the floors in my living room, kitchen dining room and bedroom. All were dull milky finish. It has been eight months mini mini mini complaints about the finish and they have not came to make it right. I requested that the upstairs be done in a different tile, which is a whole lot cheaper than what I originally chose, but it is beautiful. My stairways I requested to be done like the upstairs, and they put a white piece of wood on the front face of the stairs, after painting it with a chalky looking finish they scuffed it up as they went upstairs and downstairs. And it looks horrible. I have repeatedly asked that they come and repaint the front surface of the stairs. it has still not been done. And every employee in that store I have spoken to. Every employee have been made aware of how unhappy I am. And no one has tried to make it right. In the downstairs bedroom, there was large areas where there was no grout, they had to come back, and re-grout the whole downstairs. But even though they came to re-grout, they did not paint my stairs, or make the finish not look cloudy and dirty. I would not recommend this facility for anything paying $20,000 to have my floors refinished is a lot of money to have so many horrible issues. They claimed in and out of my windows because they were lazy and destroyed my flower beds. No one could speak English . They stacked furniture on my hard wood table and drug it off a scratched the surface, they were nasty left trash everywhere every day I had to clean the yard where they left cans an wrappers from candy bars, they broke my toilet and floor flanges, lost my toilet tank lid. ( how do you lose the toilet lid) they were unprofessional from day one until the end of the job. I would not recommend anyone hiring this company. read more

This review is for the Atascocita (Humble) location of Floors for Living. I cannot say enough good things about Floors for Living and the service they provided. We knew we needed to have the entire house carpeted as we were well past the need to havethe floors done. After shopping other providers we stumbled into the Floors for Living closest to us (we did not realize we had one in the neighborhood). The manager Bryan Fussell, the store Manager was extremely helpful. He laid all of our options out for us including pricing estimates and even advising us on the type of pad that would best accommodate pets. He allowed us to take samples home to discuss colors. A very thorough site visit was done including him taking measurements. It took two days for installation and the crew was prompt, friendly, professional and moved the furniture for us. The price was right (their financing options help), the timing was right, and they have a better warranty than other providers.
