WARNING My countertop purchase was horrible....I checked the box to view slab before fabrication and they failed to call me. They cut it then called me and told me it was ready. When I told them I had checked the box to see the slab first and even had the sales person make a notation in the computer, they more or less said too bad. I then asked them to send pictures of the cut slab. When they did, It had a large gray vain running through it and it looked nothing like the picture of the slab that I ordered from. The picture I ordered from was cream colored with light soft gold veining. I had multiple conversations with Sherry Pennier and she was not the nicest person to deal with. She told me that I would have to buy another slab and have it redone. When I asked her for the number of her supervisor she refused to give it to me. After arguing she finally said she would have the next person up give me a call. Sean Demory was no better. When I asked him for the next person up he said he was it. He refused to give me an email or number of anyone else I could talk to. When I asked him what happened to customers were always right he said no they were not. So now we are taking a road trip to the Corporate Office Lawrenceburg Tennessee since I can't get any help here in Texas....If you would like to see pictures you can check it out on my Facebook page Susan Manchester Bell. We ordered 3 full kitchens from the North Houston Cabinets To Go location and have been very happy with the quality and look of the cabinets themselves. The sales and design process was smooth, and delivery went fine. Unfortunately, I damaged a handful of the little cam-lock fasteners . When I contacted customer service for replacements, I was quoted $2.50 each for the cam locks and a flat $35 shipping charge regardless of quantity. For perspective: These are tiny zinc cam locks that weigh one ounce for 30 of them. Identical or extremely close generic versions sell on Amazon for $0.35-$0.50 each with free or $6-$8 shipping. USPS Priority Mail for that weight is $7-$9 anywhere in the continental U.S. Paying $35 to ship something that fits in a padded envelope feels predatory, especially when the parts themselves are already marked up 5-7× retail. I asked if they could use standard parcel shipping; I never received a response to my request. I contacted the one of the retail stores and they were going to give me the cam locks out of the inventory they had on hand, they just didn't have the quantity I needed, so they referred me to the customer service department. I ended up buying generic cam locks elsewhere for under $20 shipped and they work perfectly, but it's disappointing that a company that does so many things right makes it this expensive and difficult to get the exact OEM parts. Cabinets To Go - please reconsider your small-parts shipping policy. A $35 minimum on lightweight hardware is driving customers away. read more

I wanted to give a shout-out, and a high recommendation for the "CABINETS TO GO" located on the feeder road for I-45 in Houston. These folks could not have been more helpful, nor more patient. They provide an outstanding product, and first rate service. We decided that after living in our home for 11 years it was time to renovate the kitchen, which was original and built in 1976. It was a rather large undertaking, and I will point out that I am not a professional. However, I have now re-done four kitchens (over many years), and I can say that if you're even somewhat handy, willing to do your research, and are methodical it's within your reach. Using "Cabinets to Go" has likely saved us about $7,000.00, in my estimation. The quality of the cabinets far exceeded my expectations, with solid wood doors and face frames, plywood cabinetry (not MDF/particleboard!), soft-closure drawers and doors. They also feature European-style hinges, and they operate beautifully. I would point out that having installed other "major brands" of cabinets in the past, these came standard with features you would ordinarily pay extra for as "optional". We were very pleasantly surprised, as these are "knock down" type cabinets, and they arrive disassembled, flat. They were actually great fun to assemble, very easy to accomplish. Our salesperson and designer, Ida, was fantastic in every respect. She patiently designed, then amended, then redesigned the layout of the kitchen, giving great thought to the placement of all the appliances, and sink. We sat for hours discussing different options, and we were shocked at the amount of time and effort Ida was willing to devote to our project. In the past I have installed other major brands of cabinetry, most notably Kraft Made. They were excellent quality, but we had to pay for options that came standard on these "Cabinets to Go" products. Plus, they look amazing. It's an incredible transformation, and truly only possible due to all the help we received from Ida, Barry, and everyone at that location. In the end we saved about $7,000 on the cabinets and installation (my estimation), and more by doing 90% of the install myself. It took several months, but having the support of Ida made all the difference. At any point I knew we could call, discuss, and receive excellent input and advice. I did want to note that I utilized a "French Cleat" mounting system (a first, for me), utilizing 3/4" plywood cleats. Using this system allowed me to hang/install all of the cabinets alone, save one that was simply too heavy and awkward for me to handle. This is a great resource for anyone seeking to renovate their kitchen or bath, and have a great support team behind them. Excellent cabinets. Great prices. She is a rock star. She knows her job so well. Her design skills are spot on. You know when you go some where and you have this idea in your head of what you want...some how Chrystal reads your mind and does EXACTLY what you were envisioning. She is truly amazing. She has patience of a saint!!! I just love her honesty. Benny (cabinet installer) came out to measure my kitchen & bathrooms and he is the nicest man!! He also knows his job very well. And he showed up on time. That is not something you can say for most contractors. Ida also works at CTG and she is so sweet. I have talked to her as well and she's full of knowledge too! Designer did not guide us through our kitchen up grades, she made several mistakes in billing, the installers put the cabinets in askew and their customer service was not helpful at all. I'm a general contractor and use several vendors for my kitchen remodels. Today I was making my rounds and my truck overheated and ended up at the cabinets to go parking lot. I went around to find some water and Chrystal came to my assistance. She provided some bottled water for my vehicle and I was very impressed by her help. The worst/no customer service I visited the north Houston store today with my mom around 12:30pm. We arrived to the store excited it was open today and eager to find kitchen cabinets for both our house and my aunt's home. Both of our homes was destroyed in hurricane Laura and required a total rebuild. Resources are extremely slim in Lake Charles due to the amount of damage in our city, therefore our contractor advised if we found cabinets we liked in houston they would make arrangements to get them. Upon our arrival to the store we recognized there where two sets of customer both being assisted by the salespeople working so we expected to have to wait for assistance. However we did not expect not to be acknowledged at all. We walked in, stood in the front of the store for a while, received no acknowledgement. No "welcome to our store", no "hello", no " we will be with you momentarily", nothing!! I saw someone coming out of a room in the back and walked towards him. He asked if we had been helped, I answered no; he advised a salesperson would help when they were done. He unfortunately could not assist us. I said ok and we continued to look around, looking for a place to wait. After some time, still not so such as a head nod from employees we walked back to the front of the store and stood patiently. The gentleman in the front, sitting at his desk with customers, continued staring into his computer even after his customers got up to go look at a set of cabinets. Still not acknowledging us or even looking in our direction. We stood less than 15 feet from his desk. After some time had passed I convinced my mother their deliberate effort to ignore us, spoke volumes. They had no interest in our business and we should have no interest in spending money In this establishment. read more

Horrible customer service. I went in with my mother to look at kitchen cabinets. When entering the store, no one ever acknowledged is or even spoke. After looking around for about 30 minutes, still no one even attempted to help us. We left after 35 minutes. We were there to make a considerable purchase, since customer service sucked, we will bring our business elsewhere. read more
