Service was not good. When you arrive they don't greet you, they don't even tell you that you have to sit down. Our waiter Daisy was extremely rude and not welcoming at all - it really seemed like she hates her job. Waiters give you faces when you ask them a question, speaks for itself. Food was just okay. This was my first time here and I would give it a zero if I could. Customer service should be their priority. I have been coming to this Salvadorean restaurant for over 15 years. It is always a delicious meal and the pupusas are great. I like specifically the pupusas revueltas. Recently I called on the phone and placed an order for 15 pupusas and 2 orders of platanos fritos. They were ready for me when I arrived and packaged neatly. The restaurant is in a small shopping center with plenty of parking in the front. It is relaxed and they have a few televisions playing. Located near great wolf, I've been coming here for the past 5+ years. There are plenty of tables and chairs inside, but they are rather close to each other. Pupusas are perfectly cooked and a good size. The masa to filling ratio is perfect, and there are a lot of options (chicharron and cheese, beans, squash flowers and cheese, and so on). The cortido and salsa make them even better. This time around I was feeling a little under the weather so I ordered Caldo de Res (which came with fresh handmade tortillas- YUM!) it also came with rice, but the rice was undercooked and crunchy. read more

I typically always go with my usual; a cheese pupusa, a loroco pupusa and a bean and cheese pupusa with an occasional tamale on the side. I don't always add the tamale because the pupusas are a pretty decent size and filling. Everything's delicious though! We've been coming here for many many years now. Not coming back. Terrible service and disappointing food. We visited this pupusería salvadoreña on Sunday evening, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a rude and unwelcoming attitude. It took about five minutes for a waitress to come to our table, and when she did, she greeted us with cold stares and visible annoyance anytime we asked a question or made a request. The tables were dirty, and we had to ask for them to be cleaned again. Even then, it felt like we were bothering them by simply being there. We had to repeatedly ask for things like extra cups for our kids, which felt like a major inconvenience to the staff. When my food finally arrived (I ordered the carne encebollada), it was overly greasy, full of fat, and very tough to chew. Definitely not enjoyable. As if the service and food weren't bad enough, the music was blasting--to the point where we couldn't even talk across the table. I politely asked if they could turn the volume down, and while they lowered it slightly, within minutes, one of the speakers suddenly went up so loud it felt like we were in a nightclub. A family sitting near us literally got up and left because of the noise. When we asked what was going on, we were met with sarcasm and excuses, claiming it was just a machine they couldn't control. It honestly felt like no one cared. Eventually, after more complaints from other tables, they finally turned it down. To top it all off, the waitress never came back to check on us--we had to go find her to get our check. When we reviewed it, we noticed overcharges, and had to have her redo it. Later, we read other reviews and saw similar complaints from other customers, which only confirmed our suspicions. I'm not sure if the owner was present that night, but if I were them, I would seriously look into the staff working Sunday evenings. They're ruining your business. I do not recommend any tourist come here. It's not a welcoming restaurant but can suffice as a local's eatery. It was my first time coming here on my lunch break from work. Walked in and was greeted with an interesting atmosphere. The lady at the front gave me side eyes immediately after walking in. There was a little bit of a language barrier while speaking to the server and I'm pretty sure she didn't want to be friendly with me. I ORDERED 1 PAPUSA AND A CAN OF COKE. I received no receipt so when I asked for my can of Coke, the girl proceeded to tell me I ordered 2 pupusas and no coke. She had to look back at the notepad she had written my order down on and then brought me my Coke. The pupusa itself is delicious! The food is yummy. When we arrived it was around 5pm on a Sunday and the place was half full, which is not too bad. The wait time was about 30mins for our to go order to be ready, and we had just ordered 6 pupusas which is quite a wait. Ordered two revueltas pupusas and a loroco con queso thru DoorDash and wonder why they came fast. Surprise I could see the masa totally raw while taking off the foil. They literally just heat them for a couple of minutes each side. I was so frustrated because I've been craving pupusas and I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I know it's easy to put hem on the oven and get them ready in 10 minutes but that's not the point. Hubby, son and I were staying at Great wolf lodge a few feet away and were inching for something other than pizza and fries. So we were excited to see a Salvadorean restaurant so close. Their menu varied and luckily had something for the whole family. I will fully accept that i am Hispanic lol and that i Can read, write and speak Spanish. However something about me greeting in English and only getting a response back in Spanish irks me to my core. My husband and son don't speak Spanish, and my husband is of a different ethnicity so i don't usually like to just start ordering in Spanish. Anywho we were rushed from the moment we got there to take a seat, and to order, and all of that to wait for what seemed like a long time for 5 pupusas, and plantains with beans and sour cream. Not only was the wait longer than expected but the staff... dear child, I've never received so many stank faces in my life. And i tried my hardest to smile as servers passed by, my warm smiles were met with stark mean faces. Then the food arrives, FINALLY after a long wait and guess what- it's salty. Ordered on Uber for pickup yesterday. Food was ready by the time we got there and as indicated on the app (20 minutes). I'm no pupusas expert but I think they make some pretty tasty ones. Got the meat and cheese. The pupusa dough is slightly uneven and thicker on some areas than the other. The best part is where the cheese oozed out and burned a bit. The cheese is very fragrant. Slightly greasy, but very tasty with the pickled cabbage. Fried yuca with chicharron - this is the first time I've ever tried this dish and I'm amazed at how crispy they made this. The yuca reminds me of French fried, but even better. It is super fragrant and has a slightly sweet aftertaste. The chicharron is also fried to a point where it is almost pork jerky. I'm not sure if it is supposed to be dry like this but it goes very well with a bite of yuca. The taste is very well marinated. This also came with a slice of lime, a side of cabbage, along with two slices of tomatoes, two slices cucumbers and two slices of radishes. Definitely needed more slices of lime. In particular, I wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage and wished it wasn't spicy and more sour instead. The radishes were my favorite but they didn't give enough. read more

Called the restaurant at 8:23pm and was told they were closed, but could whip us up food. Ordered a sopa de Pata, a sopa de gallina with the gallina on the side, and 4 pupusas. Total $48.05 which was Zelled to the owner. When we got to our room, the chicken soup was all broth with some noodles at the bottom, the gallina on the side looked like they were somebody's left overs. It was a chicken thigh and the rice had been thrown into a small to go plate with hard rice. Horrible!!! Paid $16 to be served someone's leftovers. We've ordered the same item from this restaurant before and this was definitely not the same. If you have no food, then don't say you can take our order. Horriblr!! read more

When she got there it was cash only or we could ZELLE. the worker sent her a screenshot of where we were to send the money. Around $60 worth. Turns out it was the wrong person.
