Stopped by here on a Friday night with my partner because we were craving something quick to eat but filling. We found Tacos Y Pupusas on yelp and decided to give it a try since it was about 9:30p and most places were closed. I was pretty satisfied with their pupusas, we ordered 3 of the chicharron pupusas and 2 of the chorizo/bean pupusas. The food was great, but the food came out to us wrapped and not labeled, so it was a bit tricky to figure out what was what. We also got Sangria and Jarritos to drink with our food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior was cozy and small, and run by 2 folks behind the grill and I commend them for the speediness of everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't wait to try their other foods!

Sorry but tacos have no flavor. Salsa sucks. And the al pastor taste like soap so so sorry I'm just being honest. Horchata was half just full of blended rice and canela. lol. Please my fellow Mexicanos. Avoid this place. Find a 100% Mexican restaurant service was also very bad :(

I've driven past this place many times and decided to go inside to see what it was like. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a small place and it's very cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cashier was friendly and helpful. They have a very large menu with something for everyone. I was really pleased with my pupusa. It was served with lots of cabbage and three different sauces. The service was very attentive, I plan on coming here much more

Wanted to try the pizza place next to this place but it looked closed. So...was it an opportunity or a FUBR situation. On the outside, this place looks shady. but i am not here for the ambience- just good food. I ordered a carnitas burrito. It was filled with very fluffy flavored rice, tasty refried beans, some nice pieces of carnitas, and topped w/cilantro and onions. Not a bad burrito. kinda small for the price and needed an additional helping of carnitas. But it was satisfying. The best salsa though- finally, when someone ask for spicy salsa, the red sauce here delivered. Why not additional stars? The clerk charged a total of $13.39. But the burrito cost on the menu was $10.50. The total should have been around $11.50. I guess he added his tip? Did prices go up and they haven't reprinted their menus? Or maybe he thought i wanted extra meat in my burrito! Which also didn't happen! hence just 3 stars

Are the non meat dishes (potato taquitos, chili rellenos, bean and cheese pupusas) vegetarian, or are they prepared with lard?

The beans are prepared with lard, but any special requests always let the cashier know :)

I usually have enough leftovers to take home and have for lunch the next day. Parking is a bit sparse, but there's residential spots available next door and within walking distance (as well as my favorite romance bookstore, Heartbound Bookshop). All their dishes are made to order, so please have some grace and be patient with their kitchen. As I always say, you can't rush perfection!

The agua de melón was delicious, and the side of beans was excellent. We also ordered a plain quesadilla, and it was surprisingly really good. The menudo itself was just okay--not bad, but nothing special. The reason I'm giving 2 stars isn't because the staff were rude, but they definitely weren't friendly or welcoming. My biggest concern, however, was what I witnessed with the condiments. When you order menudo, they bring a plate with limes, onions, and chili. I watched two employees clear tables, throw away some items, but keep the unused onions and uncut lime wedges from customers' plates and take them back into the kitchen to be served again. Even if I didn't use all of the onions or limes, that doesn't mean I didn't touch them. Reusing food that has already been on a customer's table is unsanitary and unacceptable. After seeing that, it made me wonder whether other items, like leftover chips, might also be reused. Whether or not that's the case, what I witnessed was enough to make me lose confidence in their food handling practices. Unfortunately, I won't be returning

I used to work here years ago so I know how much care goes into the food & drinks. The Puesto Perfect Margarita is still my favorite margarita I've ever had. Everything is made fresh & you can absolutely taste the difference. I always order mine with a sugar rim. It's consistently refreshing, balanced & incredibly smooth. We stopped by on a Monday around 4:30 p.m. just before happy hour ended. It was nice & relaxed when we arrived. It only started getting a little busier as we were leaving. We took advantage of happy hour & ordered a few favorites. The potato taquitos have been one of my go-to menu items for years & are just as delicious as I remembered. Crispy on the outside, flavorful inside & served over a generous bed of fresh guacamole that makes every bite even better. We also tried one of the newer happy hour items the short rib mini burrito served with a green sauce. Both my husband & I really enjoyed it. The short rib was tender & the sauce added the perfect amount of brightness. I was happily snacking on the chips with the molcajete salsa. It's one of my favorite restaurant salsas. I also love the chips with Puesto Perfect guacamole. It makes it hard to stop eating. Since it was my birthday I treated myself to a Tropical Candy Shot. If you like bold flavors definitely order one. It reminded me of a Mexican street candy in shot form with a Tajín rim & a pineapple garnish. It was festive, flavorful & the perfect birthday treat. The sweetest surprise of the evening was the complimentary birthday dessert. A slice of pistachio tres leches cake. I love tres leches but I've never had a pistachio version before. It was incredibly moist & rich without being too heavy. The pistachios added the perfect crunch & nutty flavor. It was one of the highlights of the meal. One small detail I always appreciate is that they bring a pitcher of water to the table. This makes it easy to refill your glass throughout the meal without waiting. It's a thoughtful touch that makes the dining experience feel more comfortable. I'm so glad we came back after not visiting for quite a while. I love the consistently amazing margaritas, delicious happy hour menu, & warm hospitality. The thoughtful birthday surprise made it even better. It was a wonderful way to celebrate. I'll definitely be back! If you're visiting for the first time do yourself a favor & order the Puesto Perfect Margarita & potato taquitos. Also save room for the pistachio tres leches if it's available.
