    Sweet basil chicken, lobster roll
    Rebecca N.

Flora caught my eye because of the insanely pretty decorations... this is seriously one of the most aesthetic restaurants ever, and it made for a very pleasant dining experience. However, they're definitely still figuring things out, as another fellow Yelper mentioned... keep in mind they are not open for brunch until at least August 8th, and more likely August 15th. I really wish they'd make this more known as myself and other parties were very disappointed to learn this only after being seated for our reservations. Their brunch menu seems like a standout, so I was really hopeful to try it out. It felt a bit sneaky as they publish the brunch menu outside the restaurant, on their website, and even give you the menu, likely to attract customers and prevent people from turning away. That being said, we did have a nice experience. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and of course, the restaurant is very pretty, from the elaborate decor to the dishes and silverware. What we tried: - Lobster roll (4.5/5): generous amount of lobster meat, which was great. The brioche bread was soft, flavorful, and eggy - very delicious. I loved the seasoning on the fries, super tasty. - Sweet basil chicken (4.5/5): the flavor was great! The chicken was very smooth. Portion was a bit small for the price point, but it was good. Definitely very shareable. The couscous veggie mix was unique and healthy. - Patatas bravas (4/5): this was really unique with the Japanese bonito flakes; quite tasty.

Perfect new addition to the heart of south end. Awesome to park at Atherton and walk right over. Great location and total facelift from the previous establishment. It is light and airy and so nice inside. The food was UNREAL the flavors were so good and different. Also went for my birthday and the staff were so kind and welcoming. So happy to go back and try more - especially once they eventually have brunch! Also.... Peach sangria is a MUST

Food was great! The restaurant was very accommodating when we made a reservation for our group of 12. They were able to seat us in two booths right next to each other, which worked out perfectly for our group. We had a great experience.

The ambiance here is super cute, however, I would've loved if more of the plants were real! The service was great and the food was good. I would definitely order the deviled eggs again, and while I enjoyed the flavor of the risotto it wasn't quite as creamy as I hoped it would be.

Flora is a great addition to South End. It's in the old Eagle space at Atherton Mill, completely redone with floral walls, a big goddess mural, and mismatched vintage china. We ordered a lot and almost everything landed. Saffron mussels were the standout, we needed extra bread for the broth. The lobster roll costs real money but had more claw meat than any roll I've had in Charlotte. Sweet basil chicken came with beautifully crisp skin over succotash and pearl couscous. The chicken sandwich is big and crispy with only a whisper of heat. For dessert, the carrot cake is a serious contender for best in the city, and the flower pot dessert is a fun one to order for the table. Sierra the GM and our server Jenae were both fantastic, and the kitchen split plates for us without any fuss. Two notes: the fries are on the softer side (ask for crispy if you want them that way) and weekend brunch just launched, Saturday and Sunday 11 to 4. Will be back. For transparency, I was invited by the restaurant to try the menu. My opinions are my own.

Very tasty food, exceptionally friendly staff, and a beautiful atmosphere. Located in one of the best areas of Charlotte, this place is definitely worth a visit. It's not cheap, but the quality of the food, the service, and the overall experience make it well worth the price. I would happily come back!

I've been a customer of the original WHB location for a while now and was so excited to see it coming here to Charlotte. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Everything ran exceptionally smoothly considering the very recent opening. If you go the burrata and flower pot are a must. The scallops, salmon, and soba noodles are all well rounded entree options. Not to mention, this restaurant is beautiful with a fun but cozy environment. Wishing the best to the staff, management, and owners on this exciting new journey!

The food was amazing. We shared most of our plates and were pleasantly surprised that we could have shared our main entree. The atmosphere and music was on point. The lighting was just right and the decor was well thought out and falls in line with the idea of a speakeasy. I've already shared my experience with a few friends and recommended it for date nights. I'll definitely be back again and hopefully to sit on the patio.

The good: Out waitress Molly was very nice, the bartender's choice was fun and the perfect drink for each of us. The espresso martini flight was great and my favorite was the creme brulee espresso martini. The drinks were honestly the highlight and why they get three stars over two. The ambiance was pretty and the whole set up of the restaurant was very cool. The food was good, but not amazing for the price point. The disappointing: The entire place was extremely understaffed for a Saturday evening, and nothing on Molly our waitress- she was doing the best she could. We waited 30 minutes to order, because there was only one waitress. We had no utensils or napkins and had to request them after some of our food already arrived. The pretzel sticks are said to come with a cheese fondue- it's just a cheese sauce. We were expecting fondue. The tuna tartare had big chunks of tuna that was fresh, but also warm, which is not ideal for ahi tuna. I only had one piece of the BBQ bourbon pork but my piece was dry- my roommate and husband said that was probably their favorite dish however. The duck confit was my favorite, the microgreens and sweet mango citrus reduction was a great pairing, but again nothing wowing for a $300+ bill. Ultimately, good, just too pricey for the experience itself.

My friends only were in line for 5 mins but unfortunately I was the late one and waited in line for 30 mins. Luckily the line does move fairly quickly. If I'm being honest, aesthetically the drinks look good but not worth the price. My friends and I got the koala lalala and were bummed that after paying so much, it was mostly soda water and barely any alcohol for almost $19. Not worth it imo. I did however love the music selection. It was very nostalgic. Despite the technically difficulties they were having, my friends and I had a great time dancing the night away to our favorite middle and high school jams. My only suggestion would be next time for the dj to put his device on do not disturb. Every time a notification came through, the music would lower and was very noticeable. My friends and I laughed it off thinking we were just hearing things at first only for it to continue followed by the speakers completely going out. Overall it was nice to dance and be around holiday cheer but I don't think it would be worth a repeat experience.

I got crab rangoons for my appetizers. They were good but a lot more breading than I would like. My meal was the chicken and waffles. Boneless chicken for chicken and waffles is always a negative for me because it's not my thing. They were also thighs too which I wasn't expecting. The waffle itself was good and came with a hot honey type of syrup. I had to get more syrup because it wasn't enough for the portion size in my opinion. The food was not bad by any means, but my expectations were higher.

It can be hard to find if you are coming in from the main street as it is located inside a building that has other restaurants and stores inside. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.
